Oh dear.. time has come to find a hairdresser
HI there all
well i have been here a month and im afraid its that dreaded time to try and find a decent hairdresser.. Im sure many people have posted the same dilemma so apols if its repetitive..
Im used to reasonable ones back home just outside London without paying silly prices but have no idea what to expect here...
I was in the Ramada last week and noticed they had one.. anyone used this or can they recommend one for guys that isnt silly money but decent standard?
thanks !
don't be surprised if he masages ur head. i was!
still it was a...weird experience!
been there, done that!
Andy, they know # 1 alright.
I have # 2 all over (oooer). It costs me QR15 from the local Indian or Bangladeshi barber. They are both equally average and which one I go to depends on which route I take home!
Andy - Buy the electric clippers first, and have them charged before heading out for your cut.
Your choices for barbers are -
1. the french poofster in villagio
2. the bangladeshi and filipino clowns (everywhere) - AVOID!
3. a few turkish / lebanese barbers spread around the city.
My personal fav is a turkish salon just off B-ring road (near the lights after Jaidah)
Edward at Patrice in Landmark is very good also.

good luck with your haircut and standby with your clippers at home :)
if it all goes pear shaped, i can always go and buy some electric clippers and give myself a Number 1 all over..
.. if they know what a number 1 is out here.. i guess its the male equivalent of a brazilian.. on your head !
better you cut your hair before wednesday ...
thanks !
i will hold you responsible if they cut a chunk out of me !! :-O
andy, patrice salon is in villagio in virgin end. When you pass the door, pass virgin, and you will see dulce cafe, in the other side you will see another alley just by the bank. Walk further down and you will see Patrice on the left.
hi Novita
no i havent tried one yet but i might go up there tomorrow and give it a look thanks for the nudge..
Steve
i am staying clear of any barber that is likely to pass on some creepy crawlies throughnot cleaning the implements properly !!
Cant recommend one to use Andy Im still looking for a Sassoon trained cutter for myself. Keep away from Indian barbers they only know ONE haircut for all!!
andy have you try patrice salon? they are in villagio.
