Oldest woman in the world reveals why she’s still alive: ‘I’m single’

Emma Morano, 117, got married once, back in the 1930s.

But she said her husband was abusive, so she left him a few years later.

‘I separated from him in 1938. I think I was one of the first in Italy to do that,’ she said.

The single life suited her better, she said, as she didn’t want anybody to ‘dominate’ her.

Living alone, she was free to carry on with her other secret of longevity: eating raw eggs.

As part of her breakfast, she has eaten two raw eggs every day for decades.

Sometimes she adds in another fried one as well.

Her doctor Carlo Brava said: ‘She has never eaten much fruit or vegetables. Her characteristic is that she always eats the same thing, every day, every week, every month and every year.’

It has helped her life span three centuries, two World Wars and over 90 Italian governments, as she was born in 1899.

So, is this the answer to longevity – stay single ?

Is this why Rizks will not propose to his beloved Chin tu Fat ?
