One Algerian Supporter Killed in Cairo

dawestsides
By dawestsides

I knew from the beginning that all this stupid effervescence on this stupid game was going to end badly...
I won't blame my egyptians brothers and generalize as I know that like in Algeria, you'll find sick, really sick people everywhere.

Now algerian supporters heading to Sudan for the Next Wednesday match are asking for retaliation, and I know them, blood will be spilled.Again.
Again innocent people from both sides will the pay the revenge price.

Shame on you journalists from both sides, somebody lost his life because of your sick minds!!!
Shame on you,Cairo's police: in Algeria 14 policemen have been injured while protecting egyptian contractors with their families from angry supporters after the sad stoning of the algerian team bus before the match.

SHAME ON YOU!

Yesterday I went to the Brazil-England game, there was a real friendly atmosphere...

Why can't we act as civilized people?
Why do we need to picture our brothers as our enemy,as the enemy is ourselves?
Why don't we care about poverty, and focus only on a stupid ball?
Why everytime do we let our f***ing politicians lure us,EVERYTIME?

I'm deeply disgusted with all of this...sad,angry.I will never ever watch a match between these 2 countries,it has turned into everything except a game.

I will not aim my anger towards my egyptian brothers, and I hope we can together,at least here on QL,bring this down.

I'm waiting for fresh news as other supporters have been injured.

Here is a definition of Arabs by a great Arab Scientist and Philosopher:

"Arabs dominate only of the plains, because they are, by their savage nature, people of pillage and corruption. They pillage everything that they can take without fighting or taking risks, then flee to their refuge in the wilderness, and do not stand and do battle unless in self-defense. So when they encounter any difficulty or obstacle, they leave it alone and look for easier prey. And tribes well-fortified against them on the slopes of the hills escape their corruption and destruction, because they prefer not to climb hills, nor expend effort, nor take risks."

actually u do not know what happened, someone just tell u,

I watched the match bet. Egypt & Algeria in the stadium and every thing was controlled, no fighting happened, it was just cheers like the Algerian cheers in Algeria and the intruder that happened was in the place of thier hotel (near my home) and just the bus's glasses were broken and no one was injured

i will not ask u about what happened in Sudan bcs every one know that it was like war strategie

what mean that Algerians went to Sudan and were not in the stadium

i am sure that this all what happened

the government tried as much as they can to control every thing as it is not a proud to hurt any of the Algerian as it is not our way to treat people

tourists come from every where to our country and repeat thier visit again and again (what this mean??????!!)

I NEED YOUR ANSWER BLZ

but finally i want remember every one that we are all ARAB and it does not deserve to make others use this problem as a weak point for arabian

how?

how can peace be achieved in Islamic World, if they themselves had the tendency to kill each other?!

on this occasion... just because of a game?

where is Islamic Brotherhood to be found?

If they themselves cannot respect each other,

how can they be able to rally each other in defying

the Zionists...?

What a Cruel and Sick World :(

Revenge is against Islam and its even mentioned in Koran in a very clear test

But Arabs are stupid and they have a lot of extreme values, I'm sorry to say that I'm Arabic my self and some times I feel ashamed of it, because I have few European Muslim reverts here and I really found out how amazing Muslims they can be

Bottom line is and I Want everyone to remember it

When Islam comes from Europe one day inchallah, this religion is gonna be a beautiful thing as it should be

Is revenge an Islamic value?

Some keep mentioning here revenge and retaliation as if they are common sense!

I am not religious, but I was educated that revenge is a very ugly sentiment.

You just said if you have a gun you will kill Egyptians, so you are not better, behave your self Samia. This is nothing but a game, if you remember AL Akhdar baloomi your football player who damage the eye of the Egyptian supporter in Cairo, see what the Algerians done on France & many of this some people are good and some are bad not because of the nationality.

but not to the same extend and degree.

Algeria managed very well the first match and no incident was reported.

but not getting carried away and resorting to violence is the responsibility of everyone. I agree that normal precautions should be taken but also I would stress that Egyptians and Algerians are both responsible for their own behavior. I hope Algerians will show Egyptians how to behave properly and not promote any escalation in violence.

Indeed patriotism has a very versatile meaning that can be used in different times and manners...

But how come the police didn't provide a simple escort to the bus (common sense),and kill that story in the egg?Didn't they know that some insane minds were waiting for them?

Keeping order is the state responsibility, and you know who rules the state...

The egyptian team has been received with flowers in Algiers airport.

I am just wondering about the pressure on the players after all this drama. They know now that one mistake by them and they can come under attack.

I was stuck on traffic block created by the supporters for almost an hour yesterday night.... celebrations are welcome and we all need to, but sorry not at others cost and inconvenience... was surprised this went on inspite of cops presence.

btw, congratulations Egypt on your victory.

Also congratulations on trying to kill your enemy before even getting onto the battle field...

No one held a gun to their heads and made these people act like disgusting animals. Your politicians may have tried to whip you up but so did Bush try to whip up fear of Arabs and Muslims after 9/11. I used my own brain and thought for myself.

I am highly suspicious of patriotism. I think some of the worst decisions made by humans have been made in the name of patriotism. The rest have been made in the name of religion. How people take something that should make you want to be a better person and turn it into something ugly is beyond me...

Our government will provide free transportation and housing to 10,000 supporters.

The worst is coming...

I would rather advice the Sudan authorities to not allow any of them to attend the match.

And again here this is the responsibility of algerian and egyptian politicians.

Cool down sister, you shouldn't exclaim such threat, you're muslim right?

I understand your anger,I would hardly be able to contain myself in front of those criminals.

But again don't generalize,we've got monsters in Algeria too,and you know that.

Thankfully the next game will be played on neutral venue, don't think it's safe for any of the teams to visit each other right now.

By DaRuDe• 15 Nov 2009 21:31

True,we've so many problems to solve...

I disagree regarding our politicians, who do you think was feeding the hate during several weeks?

Who made this - stupid - game a state matter, like by qualifying to the world cup, everything will be better.

(Even though I'm sure none of them will reach the second round)

I'm not against patriotism,I'm against dumb patriotism that negates the individual. The last thing you will think about in your grave is your country.

You will not believe the amount of money spend, engaged or promised for this match.

If this isn't the politicians responsibility,so whose is it?

last night saw a furore in the streets of Doha at midnight over the Egyptian victory. Never seen the cops in doha get that harsh on public ( the supporters) before.

they are not the ones out fighting in the streets and waving flags around. The people have to take responsibility for their own actions and mistakes.

shameful actions on the part of many; even here on QL. I would think with all the problems in your countries you would have better things to do than fight over a football match.

both countries should be suspended or banned by FIFA.

if they don't, whichever country makes it through to the WC will surely bring their troubles with them.
