An Open Invetation

Straight Arrow
By Straight Arrow

Dear reader you are cordially invited to:

Be open-minded and do not be shallow-minded

Open-minded people will analyze things and not judge directly, these people most probably will have less problems in their lives, and they have bigger chance to solve problems.

shallow-minded people mostly judge all by one case, or look at the minority of people in a certain country and forget the majority, so they judge the majority by the minority, these people oftenly fall in many problems or get shocked because of the wrong judgement on people or things.

Open-minded people always try to link a certain problem to a main cause and make deeper analysis to eliminate the main cause.

Shallow-minded people may also link a certain problem to a main cause and never like to link the main cause to other smaller causes which lead to the main cause.

Open-mindded people look at the complete picture with all its advantages and disadvantages, and take the advantages which make them selves and their community better.

Shallow-minded people look at one side of the picture and never at the complete picture, because these people do not like to confess that this picture has many advantages compared to the disadvantages if there were disadvantages.

Open-minded people will judge fairly because they read the complete text, shallow-minded people will read part of the text and judge, and in many times the judgement of shallow-minded people will be wrong.

In one of the courts a comma " , " was forgoten and the case was lost, if this comma was not forgotten the case would have been won.

Open-minded people mostly like to verify the news by looking at more than one source, shallow-minded people will look at the news from one source only and this will cause shallow-minded people to be misleaded.

Dear reader always analyze.

So let us try to be open-minded and not shallow-minded.

Yours

Open minded team

My intension is only to help you for more understanding.

As I said the last link is magnificent and I think that there is a big chance that you will like it, but if you do not want to open it is up to you.

Straight Arrow, I read every serious book about cosmology and I am further updating my knowledge on a daily basis. But my sources are the MIT, CERN, Stanford, and Physical Review. I don't think I need to bother opening your links. Just as you would not bother to read the Gilgamesh Epos. You have your Qur'an, and I have every other reliable source. Stick with your book and stop trying to mix what doesn't go together.

There would still be many problems, SA. Water runs out, food has to be produced, diseases have to be cured, tsunamis and earthquakes have to be encountered, volcanoes will erupt, the next asteroid impact has to be considered, and so on. - Now, if there are no lies, no briberies, no corruption, no offense, these problems would still exist. Why? Because the universe is generally permanently trying to wipe out living things!

in this world we are living there were no propblems and no hate and no lie and no cheating, no bribery, no offense, then this would be the heaven for the people who are looking for heaven?

I had also some comments on your thread about the bing bang but it seems you did not went through it.

I don't like carrots, but lots of people do.  I don't like spiders, but lots of people do. I like dill pickle potato chips, but lots of people hate them.  Not everyone likes or dislikes the same things.

Nobody can, SA. It is different for each person! What is good for one, is bad for another, and vice versa.Hurt or pain are also relative. Some people enjoy it, some don't.IF you assume that you are worth being alive, then everything that kills you is 'bad', and everything that keeps you alive is 'good'. But this implies already the assumption that you care for being alive or not. Not everybody does!

By Straight Arrow• 20 Jul 2011 13:32

Can you also please explain what does hurt mean as well as feel and pain?

By anonymous• 20 Jul 2011 13:23

This is very hard to define, SA. Some people like it when it does them good. Other people like it when it hurts them and they feel pain.

You said there is nothing called right or wrong, but there is thing people like and things people do not like, can you define or explain what does it mean "things people like" and "things people do not like"?

Actually I put my seat belt on before I turn on the engine.  So you are defintely wrong Straight Arrow.

"The way to get in your car and turn on the engine and put the seat belt, and then drive to work."Definitely WRONG!!Your Indian tea boy turns on the engine and keeps on washing the car with drinking water. When the A/C has cooled the car, you get into it, dial on your phone, don't wear the seatbelt, and drive to your friend's 'church'.

a trend which is among some people, who say there is nothing called wrong or correct, but there is something you like or you do not like, I will ask these people what will you call the following:

The way to get in your car and turn on the engine and put the seat belt, and then drive to work.

Will you call it a way you like or a correct way? Which is more logical?

The agreement of people on the terms which are defined as correct will create a system which can satisfy many people.

Also the agreement of people on things are defined as wrong helps people to stay away from problems.

The words like and do not like are general, but the words correct and wrong are specific.

A clear person must be specific, LLP what you like is not necessary to be liked by others.

Natural people prefer a person who is specific and respecting others, and I again I appologize if I used bashing words or comments.

At the end you can not convince a person who will consider others opinions are always wrong if it is not in line with his opinion.

I just want to clarify one thing you are free to think what ever you like, it is your choice.

I am not living in a darkness because I do not consider this example is acceptable, and here is the example:

"It is ok to have a class room which have 15 students wearing clothes and 15 students are naked (no clothes on them at all)"

Unfortunately some people say that it is normal to have the above example in real life.

People are divided into groups

Group A

Group B

Croup C

Group A and Group B have some differences in culture, language, color, ...etc but at the end of the day Group A and Group B agrees on many points.

Group C might speak the same language and maybe will agree on 5 % of the points which Group A and Group B agrees on.

Say if Group A and Group B agree on 500 points, then group C will agree only on 25 points of the 500 why?

Because people in Group C thinks that the only way to be known and recognized is when you bring different things even if it does not make sense and not logical.

lol Fathima...:)I have to say though, I prefer the term "tolerant" to open minded. If you are tolerant, you do not have to agree, but will accept other people's opinion, without trying to " convert" them. Basically minding your own business. live and let live!
