ORDERING laptop online

Hi !

Anybody experienced ordering a laptop online and having them shipped here ? How much were the customs duties, taxes, fees etc. or all the extra fees that were charged once the package arrived here ?

And how long did it take ?

thanks for the help.

hey thanks for the reply !

I considered that option actually... but really the specs of the lappies here are a generation lower than what is already available abroad.

And, the brand and model that i like is not available here. ( ASUS ) The ASUS ones in villagio are absurdly high... and i think it would even be better if you order online because its cheaper.

yeah. the warranty is only the downside to it. I guess i'll just hope nothing goes wrong with it... thanks !

I don't know why do you want to go through all of this trouble. Buy it from here , it would be much easier for you to take it to the service center just in case. Most of the online shopping websites won't provide you with warranty of any kind. Middle east specifications are special and when I contacted HP guys in the USA about a problem with a laptop, they say that those models are not supported here because those specifications are really high and especially made for the Middle East.

If you use for Example Aramex Ship & Shop service, they will charge you for the weight of the package only and I guess that it would be really heavy. DHL or FedEx won't be any better, so please consider a lot before buying any laptop online.

Best Regards
