As you said..it was truly a melting pot of all nationalites and religions. I had the best time seeing "old" friends and meeting the "new" ones. To those that came, I thank you so very much...it really does mean a lot to me to see how many showed up. I ran late as I STILL haven't gotten used to Doha time in traffic..and got caught up in the cars on the corniche...but, Mir was there to welcome me in the parking lot...after having missed his calls due to not reaching my purse in time while trying NOT to get smashed by the cars in the roundabouts. lol Mir, hon, I am SOO sorry I was late...but it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you for being so patient with me. (just a note..it drives my husband nuts too...)
To everyone....you are the most beautiful group of people ever...I don't care what color your skin is, what religion you are or if you are a purple alien that believes in rocks...you are all what makes the world good over here. Remember that even if you think you don't make a difference in the world, you do. The kind smile you offer someone may make the difference in THEIR day...its the ripple effect..and saying this..you guys have made a tidal wave in my life.
Its strange but even though I have been here only a month and yapped your ears off, its seems as though I've known you guys forever. Its not that we didn't have some differences at times and tons of laughs, but the feeling of touching someone, even if via computer..that makes it so amazing.
Ok..those that weren't there...I missed you terribly and knew how much you'd have loved meeting everyone! Those funny little quips and tongue in cheek comments were missed, just as you were.
Now...I am going to give you back something...my friendship...if you guys ever need anything I can help with, please don't hesitate to call upon me. One of the things that I've found from QL is that someone, somewhere, knows someone that can help you...its like a family, Greeker, you are so very right. We may get irritated at each other and want to pull hair out (ok..that's a female thing..cat fight! ) but in the end...we are all family and family ties run deep. If all the world could just take note from this group, it would be a much better place.

It was my first ever QL gathering attendance and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Like everyone else I'd like to thank Scarlett for organizing it and being such a good host!
Upon entering Orion I wasn't able to figure out our bunch of guys, so decided to call up Scarlett. She had trouble hearing me cos of the noise in the background and immediately ran to the restrooms area. While on phone, I was trying to look for a lady on phone to know exactly where everyone was seated. And when she ran into the restroom, I saw someone going in that way and immediately asked if if it was her. She was like yes and I said alright come out now cos I think I've spotted you already. LOL.
I dont really know if we're allowed to name guys who were present, but since everyone else in this thread have been doing so, I'd take some liberty to do so. From what I can recall, it was really good to meet Scarlett, Ksarat (he talks way too much), Irrysa (she's pretty), Richard123, Mufy, Mir83, Copper, Jilfer, Manubtl and King Edshel (he doesn't drink or smoke! Good boy!) rest I can't recall much as I got pretty drunk towards the end.
Sorry I had to leave early cos I had a feeling my friend accompanying me could be getting bored. She had her mind on stepping on the dancefloor at the Cloudnyn all the while! LOL.

I most humbly thank you for attending my (temporary) farewell party last night. I owe you all a HUGE debt as I had more fun than a monkey in a tree!!!
All of you are so special, and I could write a book on that, but will spare you...lol Ok I did that last night anyway...please go check out the socializing page, Greeker posted one and I responded. You guys have made my transition to Doha SOOO easy and fun! I honestly can say that I do NOT want to leave now, even to go on vacation..kinda sad, isn't it??? lol Plus being gone for 2 and 1/2 months will seem like FOREVER!!
King..I can adopt you..as a mom I have lots of love for my kiddos and my other ones are back in Texas..so goodness help you, you are so gonna get (s)mothered. Owen and Copper..BEHAVE!!! Don't make me come back from Texas to swat your behinds...Also..now why did richard and I make you feel old?? I was doing my best to tease you into laughing..and you know it!!
Now in my absence, I think mufy had an excellent idea..why not do something like this every weekend? Could atlernate between alcoholic and non alcoholic places and that way could include everyone.. at least every other weekend.(or some of us every single weekend!)
It made me so happy that so many of you showed up last night..it was absolutely amazing. I had the biggest grin on my face all last night and today...Thank you all so very much!!
