Junx, to me mac works like a celeron. It's too slow... I used the G5 Power Pc, those were allrite, but they cost like 15 grant, where as I could build up my own pc which would have better specs than mac for about 5 grat. On the other hand, the cheap mac's they always crash. One problem I had was, when I'd open photoshop, Illustrator closed down... always. Not just in 1 pc, but in all of them that we had at work. I used the Mac Book Pro, same problem.

Afaque, PC needs upgrade all the time, I agree windows operating systems r crap, but then thats the only one that has most softwares. Where as in Linux, there's always a way to install windows programs ;). In mac nope...

maybe your right... for your usage, perhaps MAC is limited... but for others, we're most comfortable with it... it depends on the practice of the user... somebody can say, Landcruiser is the best, but others goes for Patrol...

theoxic,,, I have no idea about Linux...Anyways windows and mac systems are mostly used so leave linux out as only programmers use it.. otherwise windows PC doesn't come near comparing to Mac's performance...I have used both for a long time now..I have a Mac at the office and a PC at home.....PC really su*ks.....

We need some more information about your computer to tell you what exactly is causing the slow down.

So it will be nice if you coul tell us what the configuration is and what you use the computer for. I mean just to surf the net or running any other specific software/applications etc.

All the solutions here could help you but then again it could be a differnet problem all together.

It is the performance. Mac is limited.

i guess its not in the performance... but its in the preference and practice of the user...

Afaque, I have used macs for the last 2 years, they are sh*t and I've used all of them. The only good thing is there are no viruses and it looks good and that's it. Linux on the ohter hand beats both windows and mac, by million times. Try using it, u will know the difference.
