Parents war in public

What will you do when your parents keep fighting?
One parents i know, always fight each other, for any and every reason that only they know. Some times it goes way too bad that they shout at each other at public too. Last week they visited a mall and started an argument infront of all others. It really sucks.

How to make this parents to understand that they spoil not only their own respect, but also leave their children in embarrassments.

If you have such parents, how do you handle them?

This kind of parents NEED to go to counseling. Even if it doesn't fix the marriage, at least they won't scream in public.

Stay REAL

Parents do it for variety of reasons (especially when they do it in public or in front of children)

- To manipulate childrens thinking that which one is more worthy than other. They are very well aware that they are affecting their child's psychology and probably that is the whole idea

- If they are old, they do it to seek attention, just like small children do it.

The best thing in both the situation is to ignore them completely. Your attention and concern will encourage this behaviour more and more.

They will never divorce each other as their issues are not real as all. When they do it in public, just leave that place. When you are at your place, shut the door of your room. Don't take sides. These are basically ego issues.

Also this doesn't make them bad parents. They are human beings with human flaws. Accept them as they are.

Are you nuts?......no doubt I am crazy about you!

Open a betting book on them... give good odds, if you can't reason with their selfishness and lack of awareness in their surroundings.. make money out of it.

divorce ....because when parents fight kids suffer ,researchers examined the effect of marital conflict over three years involving 226 parents and their 9- to-18-year-old children, they find that forms of destructive marital conflict, such as personal insults, defensiveness, marital withdrawal, sadness or fear, set in motion events that led to later emotional insecurity and maladjustment in children, including depression, anxiety, and behavior problems.

So,

parents who cannot manage their own emotions, tend to produce children who are the same. In other words, history repeats itself if the adult-parent does not attempt to shift their own ways of managing themselves in the presence of their children.

If i am their child and know that they are doing this in public, simply ask both of them or set a time for the whole family and have a conversation about this issue because it really matters a lot for the whole family and find out what are the reasons behind the arguments because its not only them who got humiliated by the community and affected but the wolhe family as well.

Humiliating for kids to go with there parents in public places. Better not to go with such parents in public.

Peace.
