Parking is a big problem in Doha nowdays, i am living in abdullah bin Thani Compounds at BinMahmood Area - few peoples who do not have reserved parkings they park there cars in front of other reserved parking, which make difficult to park car or even if it is parked its difficult to remove it, in way they have not blocked 100% but they creates incovenince for others is there any way they can be prosecuted by law if we can give complain to police by giving the vehicles number to police. can any one help me out ..... Thanks

geezzz, parking in doha sucks bigtime!!

i had seen key scratches and all tires flattened due to this. on worst case even stoned wind shields.

if you can't bear the heat...

rent on the high end accomodations or shift somewhere else like al wakra and you'll have less parking headache.

some price to pay, for a life in doha.

not really MJ, but if i was to get pissed off at everything and everyone in Doha, i would be mad 24/7. If i can't control peoples actions, at least i can try to control how i react to them. Makes living here more bearable.

true MJ, what fate would that be? Please share so i can perhaps do the same. Its annnoying when you dont know who it is? Apart from the potato or banana in the exhaust pipe (which i have thought of but cannot bring myself to do it lol), what do you suggest?

nadt, i think if some stranger parks on our space, he would suffer the same grief as our neighbour did.. ;)

the problem isnt when your neighbours park in the spot, its when people who are not tenants, they are visitors of tenants and have no respect for others(just like some posters of this thread).

First Step: If you know that person then ask him politely not to park in your pvt parking space (or) stick a gentle note on their windscreen.

2nd Step: Tell him with seriousness that it creates lot of problem for you to park or to get out of your pvt parking lot. So plz avoid it otherwise I would have to inform the police

3rd Step Just call the police, tell them about your complaint and how you have tried to make that person understand not to park like that. If police ask, then give them its REGISTRATION NUMBER. Police will call that person and will give him verbal warning. THAT'S IT

.

After this warning call, INSHALLAH he/she will not bother you or anyone else again.

I think that if they park in a public area that is time the police can take actions.

lets not be racist here.. Every country gives birth to good & bad,, should'nt generalize. btw, most of what Candlestick has mentioned is an absolute fact, however, not all are same.

Also, i see,, THE TOPIC IS HIJACKED. lol

Tantoun, really do you have to stoop to candlestick aka pennypitstop or Steves level. I have high regards for the British people, who are very tolerant and understanding(more so than the Arabs), just because theres a few bad seeds , no need to generalise. Let them just live in their little world of hate.
