Prejudice
Every day there are new topics about criticising a nation or religion(sometimes canadians, sometimes indians, sometimes philippinos, muslims or christians)and so many people is steeped in prejudice.
Why people can't just accept that there are good and bad people in every nation and religion?
There is no such that everybody from X country is stupid or everybody following Y religion is bad.
It would be such a stupid statement like saying that every that every teacher is rude.
Surely, there are cultural differences among nations, but that doesn't mean they are stupid or they are bad.
Surely there are some generalization, like most philippina are small, or most indians have black hair, but that's it. Eveything depends on the person itself.
These people opening such topics should be more openminded, because they won't be better by saying about someone that they are stupid.

It's true that had working hadn't killed anyone yet, but why to take risk?
True that. We are such a mixing pot here in Qatar, so we are bound to deal with problems like that.
I find all of our cultural differences to be comedic, but the only thing I cannot tolerate is extreme hypocrisy. I am not the purest of individuals, nor do I claim to be or judge others for deviating from The Way. As long as my bills are paid, I'm cool.
well its always been like this........its not about people opening such topics but their way of thinking which needs to be changed.

because some people are just like that.. they think they are better than everyone else, but that doesn't give them the right to make generalized conclusions on certain race/nationality...
take for example, just a while ago, somebody created a thread attacking the Filipino community as a whole, but his opinion on us was merely based on some fellow that he has worked with, which was totally unfair... glad the mods took immediate action.

"it's easier to denature plutonium than to denature the evil in man". Prejudice adds color to life, don't you think? But that is our lot here on earth, otherwise we are in Utopia. :)
