I also live near old airport area. Saw a HUGE smoke. There is a report in todays Gulf Times about the fire.
Infact, some of the residents living near-by were asked to vacate the buildings for few hours as a safety measure.
So, a few of them packed essential things in couple of bags and stayed put outside.
