Qatar Charity ......to homes ???
By the-birdie •
today afternoon around 4pm, an Arabic speaking person, with typical national dress ( white thobs ) came to our house.
When I opened the house, he said he is from QATAR CHARITY.
and he is collecting money.
When I told, I have to ask my husband, he advised I can also give money. When I refused , he went away.
- Does Qatar Charity send individual people to flats
- Do they not have to produce their ID card ?
- how can we ensure he is not a cheat.
anyone has similar experience ? how did u manage ?
Be careful Don't open your door again for those people. I'm sure they are either beggar or thief.
If you give any one here money for charity, they should give you a bond.
if at all anyone comes that way, ask him for his id card and then call up qatar charity or call the cops.
I know of Qatar Charity but aren't they stationed on malls and shopping centers? So maybe that one's fake. I've never heard of them going door to door.
No charity organization will do it as it is against the law. Charity have their stalls in various shopping malls and they have their own offices, if somebody wants they can donate, but they are not allowed to ask money from anybody.
People mentioned above are professional begger and begging is illegal in Qatar.
I personally experienced that before,a man wearing a thobe and he showed an Id,and because we do not know about qatar charity,we just gave money...not only that...some arab women also are doing that..they pretend that thier love ones are sick...we knew that they are just lying, but still giving them even small amount of cash..but now...before i open our door...i have to check first if whos on knocking...hahahaha..if i see an arab woman again..i will never open the door...
go knock at doors.
