Having a friend of mine back home who was infected with HIV after having a blood tranfusion, I have great sympathy for people who have contracted the virus via ways that are not normally associated with the disease.
Most people when they hear HIV or Aids, automatically assume its due to sex or drugs and forget that this virus can be contracted in other ways too.

The number of Qataris living with HIV has been published annually in the WHO's regional office for the middle east (EMRO) website. Not to mention been published many times in local newspapers. The HIV clinic is not hidden nor are AIDS patients are quarantined.

There is no isolation, Qatari HIV patients privacy is protected. They only visit the HIV clinic to receive the "Cocktails".
