Qatar visa expired

My Qatar working visa expired last March 19. Am leaving Doha for good on April 11. Am planning to visit Dubai for 3 days from April 12-14 then travel back to my home country on April 15. Can I obtain a transit visa at the Dubai airport? Tried with emirates, unfortunately, they can't help me. They can get me a visa only if I check-in thru one of their accredited hotels. I have a place to stay so I won't be needing any hotel accomodation.
