QBS english. Watsup or down or whatever

Gone are those days of excellent news casting and radio hosting. I remember the good old Gina Coleman, Nick Kelly, Elias Chalouhi and other notable mentions. This Bernie fellow should be a host on oldies station or some thing like 'Grandpa FM'. Out dated and biased for a RJ. Really, backstreet boys lovers are considered 'taste challenged' (not that he has openly said something along this line). Then again, I remember him making fun of the request for any BC boys number. Guess what: he pokes fun at the sanity of the music and then plays "As long as you love me" (love this song). Listen to QBS, its all oldies music. Hardly a handfull of new hits (other than in world chart ofcourse). Where is that fergie, hoobastang, rihanna etc.

Either way, QBS is a drag.

I really hate his shows, he shouts on the radio adn really cant pronounce the words properly. and the biggest joke of all is that QBS wanted native english speakers... And most of the time they have these syndicated shows that are not at all tuned to the local tastes.. They really need to open up the spectrum to different languages. I really feel jealous when i hear the dubai FM stations, they really make your traffic jams an enjoyment with their superior quality of programs. And like some one said, no one can beat Gina in new reading..she was a in a league of her own. And i remember this program nick used to present about music from around the world. Used to look forward to it every week.

QBS Indeed has alot to learn fr other radio stations if they want to improve but if they think they are the #1 then that says it all dont it....hehheheehe

If Guinness Book of World Records ever wanted to know which is the worst Radio Channel in the World I am sure Q.B.S would win without any needed proof or explanation.

The saddest Radio Channel in the world, The Zombie Bernie with his usual boring crap and old 1870's country music I am sure if this was the channel one would wake up .. i think he would sleep forever..

Look at the quality - so poor.. and they need to share the frequency with French how sad can that be..

Bernie, the time he is on the radio is the time i switch off the radio, its about time he retires and sits back taking care of his cows.. I have seen him a couple of times, i am not sure if he still wears his Red or Yello glasses..

There were times, when RJ Nashwa used to play some good music, now i have no words for Q.B.S. How come they claim they are No 1 in the Gulf.. They are only number 1 in the Qatar.. as no competition exists.

Radio Channels from Bahrain, Dubai.. should set an example to them, I miss them in winter as I dont get hold of the frequency.. anyway.. i dont want to say anything more for Q.B.S who knows tomorrow they will charge us for listening to Q.B.S coz everything in Qatar is going up..

Anyway.. lets wait and see..

most of the readers are part time they did advertise some months back for the same

New year eve no fix plan yet so many options dont know whom to disappoint and whom to please

so sad that there is only 1 me would have been fun if i could have multiplied like a amoeba so I could please one and all

Good evenin chupa, wats planned for NYeve?

i was wondering if QBS does employ part time newsreaders? if they do then that would be one way to gauge if that person is a)good, b) acceptable and then work fr there. rather than employ someone who cant even read for peanuts and have the listeners endure her (most often than not i feel like weeping when i hear such pathetic ppl reading the news)some of them read even worse than an 8 yr old and as for pronouciations i wish they would find out how to pronounce words they arent familiar with before reading in on the air....(gee i am so bad)

Yes it is definitely atrocious, and Bernie is even more irritating in person than he is on the radio. I met him by accident and (after restraining myself from beating him up once the penny dropped) he actually said:

"oh yes radio is wonderful, my fans don't even know what I look like, so they don't bother me on the streets". ah, sure Bernie. like you're at risk of being swamped.

He wears a hideous wig and looks as old as the music he plays.

The Movie Show (with Lee McGrath) and the country show on Saturday mornings are the only professional and entertaining programs.

oh and while we're on the topic, why don't they get some proper newsreaders who emPHAsise the right syLLAbles in the news!! And that woman at night who thinks she's on a phone-sex line, "you were just listening to... hope you enjoyed that..."

grrrrr

and one more thing to add the newsreaders are appalling to listen to .they cant read the text properly let alone pronounce the words.is amazing how one is selected to read the news too-so is the the 'cream of the crop'?cant they have an audition and select ppl who can read and be understood??am i being too harsh but then again this is my opinion
