I had a very bad embarrassing experience with the Qatar Insurance Company (West Bay office near Q-Building). Luckily they don's have any other outlet any where in Doha it seems.!!! I was in QIC to renew my friend's car insurance premium on a Thursday morning @ 0545 am. Being known their stringent time schedule imposed on Third-party Premium Insurance, I left home much early to get a position in the queue so I got the 20th position. Waited till 6:45 the first official arrived and they started issuing token at 7 am. My number was 39 mysteriously. Checked the saga and realized that initial 19 numbers had issued for the intruders who came late and those who don't want to wait in the queue. Regrettably those 19 guys were not expatriates!! So no argument and waited patiently to start the computers. 7:30 they kick started the operation. Fortunately there are 8 counters but only 3 are operational!!. 5 are temporarily not functional. Out of those 3 counters only 2 counters are exclusively meant for comprehensive policy holders. Only one counter for Third party holders. They stopped issuing token for 3 rd party guys @ 7:20am after 50 numbers and informed the rest to go back and come next day morning @ 7 again. Desperately those unprivileged group have left without any alternatives. But they continued issuance of token for Comprehensive Premium holders. The network was got some problems and the operation was stopped for almost 45 minutes. But the most interestingly the lady at the token issuing counter was very discourteous and she denied token for people who approaches her for Third-party Renewal and told them to come tomorrow. But on many occasions she issued the same third party token as well, for Qataris and Europeans. Hopefully it is not a double standard on peoples’ nationality?. I got irritated and questioned this attitude one time. I feel sorry on the misfortunate people who were sent home after waiting so long in the queue. A Female official assuming the Manger of the office warned me not to raise my voice and she want me to surrender my token!. But I ignored her. At last I got my renewal done @ 11:45 am on the same day!!!!!!!!!.
Is it called harassment or humiliation? Are they rendering a service of charity? Why do they have a step-mother attitudes towards Third-party scheme altogether? Does any one know whether we can change our Vehicle insurance company on a specific renewal time?
That is because you buy the Comprehensive and his policy was Third Party.
Those who pay get better service.

best ask your female friends ... i always did the insurance at QIC for mine and husband's car and never queue.
