I think to some extent some of the Qlers also test the patience of the Mods leaving them with no option but to ban them...if they are warned there is no point in pursuing that issue and if you still pursue then I dont see any reason to cry or curse the mods if they end up doing which they tried to avoid in the first place. Yes at times they do act funny...I remember I used to use my signature line with the word "sh*t" in it and actually it was a funny line witthout being offensive but I was warned...whereas yesterday the word 'pen*s" (without the star) was repeatedly used on some thread and nothing happened.

What QL needs are strong and unbiased and (very) good moderators. Can commit some mistakes but ready to make amends without sacrificing honor! And I don't agree that they can't cover the forum 24/7, it's just time management. We don't have a Mod but Mods. And I think the forum is earning!
Yes I agree totally. At the end of the day though, we are at their mercy. Perhaps, they are afraid of interference from authorities - given the environment we live in.

Yes, it's so true..Forum section has become a CHAT option for many..That's the reason why i have restricted myself to main Q & A section which increases my knowledge + i like to help others with whatever information i have for particular query..
Gloomy- friends are good but no knowledge sharing left on QL. I have observed that the fun forums are the main attraction and question and answer section is ignored.
I feel only Soniya is active to answer the questions and queries.
it's just that we old members have been here for so long that we think QL is getting boring by the day and we perceived it as not the same way it used to be, we see a lot of changes and restrictions whereas before we can get away hijacking a thread without being reprimanded... :)

QL has changed in the past two years. Yes, there is more chatting and "flirting" online now , but there is also a reasonable amount of discussion.
You don't have to participate in all threads and if you feel strongly about something, then post a topic of your own.
Lately, the MODS have become heavy handed and strange in their actions, but that is all part and parcel of the landscape that we live in.
Take it with a pinch of salt. If you're unhappy, then step back for a while. If you missit, then come back..
