QTel are useless!

Does anyone have a contact in qtel that can get things moving?
I already waited 4 weeks for internet installation, and am told it could be few more weeks.
However, my neighbours who applied AFTER me, have already had theirs installed. It is a new compound and they have requested the same package as me.
Qtel really don't know the meaning of 'customer service'
I agree totally! "We will give you an appointment in 5 days for installation"; 5 days later "no, we said 10 days"; another 5 days later, "we will send an e-mail to IT department", 5 days later-a fruitless trip to Q-tel - we'll send another email to the IT department....; another phone call, with an incomprehensible answer, another trip to Q-tel Villagio promising within 10 days I will have an appointment-yes, you guessed, nothing. It's been 30 days now, and they say there is a problem with the "cabinet" - well none of my neighbours have noticed this fault...
Some truth would be good. If there is a fault, they should not promise an appointment within 5 days. No answer when I put this to them. Corporate untruths are okay then. Little old naive me. Business is the same whatever creed, colour or country. Yes real competition, but more importantly ACCOUNTABILITY is needed. Meanwhile I have spent a fortune on mobile internet. Time for a mudbath.

Useless just about sums it up...they need competition to improve service. If you are from the new orange and yellow compound, has a store inside, good luck.
When in Qatar, do what the Qatari do.
Your frustration will not end when you do get it installed. Qtel are SOOOOOOO bad for customer service. Internet constantly going down and when you try to contact them you could be on the phone for hours, and I mean HOURS!!!

2 Months ...wow that's a long wait...
Don't get me started ... We are going through the same thing right now. Some people already got connection although applying after us, and every 2 weeks they say another 2 weeks. It's been 2 months now. :\

you know what? if you take your neighbor's land line number and go to Qtel and tell them that they already have it, they will immediately attend to you.
The delay usually happens when the compound is new and the installation planning is not done.
Not news to any here, they are hopeless.
double or triple your patience :) just follow it up personally, don't dare call 111 or you'll be more ballistic :)
