Dear all, let's discuss about the services of land line connection & ADSL between QTEL & other GCC countries. Place your comments here. In my view STC (Saudi Telecom)is the best compare to QTEL & Batelco.

After waiting 45 days for my line, i went down to the Q-tel office and asked to speak to the manager. Got my line in 3 days. :)

You don't have to "make noise" per se. All you have to do is make yourself heard.

Well, you'll need to do down to Qtel and make some noise. They'll attend to it.

At least you got even after two months. Someone waiting more than two/three months but no response from QTEL.

Don't know about the other servies, but it took me a good two long months to get my landline.

Guess it had to do with digging a trench all the way to my home to lay the line......duh

i was a user of Batelco

in KSA STC(Saudi Telecom) take less than 24 hours to give you a new connection & even you don't need to go to their office.

thing is to go to QTEL offcie & sit with the serial token for new land line connection. After meeting customer service person then wait 3/4/5/6/7 days or more or even months to get new connection. Another irritating things in QTEL is calling to 111. It's your luck if you can speak to an agent by calling 111.

though i have no experience with batelco and stc, etisalat uae is uncomparable in terms of service and value for money. qtel's 33 riyal per month is too high and 25 riyal per month for clip service is ridiculous.
