Qtel Shary Package Misleading Information
I recently accepted the promotion to change my Qtel Hala card to Shary in order to benefit the cheap overseas call. I read the instruction and sought clarifications through Qtel customer services what happens if I have exceeded my call per month using the free airtimes based on the package I choose. The representative answered I will be charged based on the promotion rate. I was delighted and happily calling hometown almost everyday. To my surprise, I got a QAR 500 bill! When I checked; all the calls I made beyond the free airtime are charge at normal rate for overseas. The information given was really misleading. QAR500 is equivalent to my 5 months bill on Hala. Now to change back to Hala; I have to wait for 3 months from the date I changed to Shary as per the regulations. I am just stuck! Got no choice to wait till 3 months is over to swtich. In this instance Vodaphone is much more better. So you out there still contemplating of changing to Shary... please read between the line of the terms and conditions... so that you will not face the same as I did.
QTel did this trick last Ramadan too..."calling rates reduced for expats"....
my frnd using 300 plan for 2mnths he chked his bill this morning its 1075... Qhell is damn smart

Yeah same here, i want some clarification on this. I have the top shary package & i am suppose to get charged 0.29dhs per min. When i call US, i am sure its not 0.29dhs
pay for it! It's simple. That's the whole idea of "promotions". It's the fine prints or what they don't say or honor! Same thing with "SALE". You buy what you don't need, because it's cheap! Okay, minus 1 Qtel customer! They don't mind!

this is the question which no one in QTEL was able to answer me .. i even sent them 5 mails asking the same but no answer....now i know why .
