Qtel strikes again? NO OVERSEAS CONNECTION!!!

here's one advise: Go to FACEBOOK...search for the QTEL page and go rant there. Someone from QTEL directly answers your question.

And get a VODAFONE...makes your life easier calling PHILIPPINES...hehehehe

I am telling you now, next Dec 31, it will be the same scenario. So stop using Qtel if you hate it that much and stick to Vodafone!

And my advise, call before 7 pm on dec 31st, maybe you'll get through!

can you answer my why they (from other country) can call me while its new year or new years eve here in Qatar or new years eve on their country HUH?!! Imaginge they called me only once and got connected at once!!! Then I tried to call QTEL too....but the answering machine told me that they have holidays too!!! tsk tsk tsk...so much really!!

so what's new? There is an alternative, why bother to complain for something been happening for the last 5 years I've been here. And that Vodafone that went through, it's luck 'cause my friend also had a hard time connecting using Vodafone. HNY!

i was lucky that last night i didnt have any problem calling back home thru QTEL or VODAPHONE,everything was smooth while am talking to my family members,what a good New Year to start.... :)

I guess with the Last day of the year and last day of QTel promotion yesterday it was busy. But then you just have to keep trying and you will get through.

it's understandable...maybe your own country network is busy too. Be considerate..call later:)

I dont work for QTEL....YOU could call their customer service to find out why?

If you hated QTEL that much for what happened, close your POST PAID ACCOUNT and switch to VODAFONE.

Or get a VODAFONE SIM (like everyone else is doing/done).

I both have QTEL AND VODAFONE phones so I dont have a problem. I suggest you do the same...less frustration for you in the future.

and everyone in Qatar who uses QTEL...I mean EVERYONE are calling their families around the globe. And mind you the time difference between Qatar and whatever countries.

This is my 7th Christmas AND NEW YEAR here in Qatar and its always been like that...

i experienced the same thing I tried calling many times to my family earlier but to no avail, good thing i have another phone with vodafone qatar as provider, I was able to connect the first time I tried...

Try it to set 3G to 2G on your phone setting...during this you can call.
