Another new mall but no AMUSEMENT PARKS for families.
.
Anyhow, plz see the attachment for detailed info and pray that we do hear more news about NEW PARKS in Qatar rather than MALLS/HYPERMARKET.

on the definition of the words "quality" and "reputed"

AND their undertanding to those 2 words.

BTW. Many "quality" and "reputed" restaurants and cold stores, let aside supermarkets and hypermarkets, were closed by the municipality every now and zen :D

I think any shop that has "Quality" in the title leaves alot to be desired!! Example - Quality shoes..are they???

I'm left wondering, is h(H?)ypermarket one word, or two?

If I was the guy being quoted, I'd be a bit upset that some journalist who never learnt shorthand couldn't acurately transcribe my quotes.

As much as I hate it when the local papers just print press releases, at least press releases are well written, not like this embarrassing drivel.

I could easily pull apart each and every sentence, but I haven't got the time.

Maybe later, if I'm feeling pedantic.

They used to be the Spinneys chain I believe, and they sell mostly 'western' products.........But at bloody expensive prices !

I think you have me confused with someone who gives a sh1t.

the spelling and grammer to my attention? Makes me sit and wonder who was on the re-write desk that day, that it wasn't spotted.

Don't you just love it when these shops talk about how many till will be in service? They might have 20 tills in service, but only 5 are working during peak hours...

"if you don't like the heat... get out of the kitchen... but stop trying to fan the flames before you leave... it will burn you on the a** as you go through the doorway...." ME

The American Hypermarkets like Walmart kept closing their eyes to the global market, then the French swallowed it (mostly Carrefour and Géant)..

I know the way to any item in Carrefour, in Qatar, UAE, France, China, ... They're all the same.

I used to go to Mega Mart, but found out that Lulu and FFC have the exact same products, for half the price. The big bags of Cheetos is for 28Qr in Mega Mart (imported) and the one made in the region is 8Qr.

Anyway, shopping in FFC is entertaining :)

MD - 2 of the guys look like they have other places they would rather be.

And how much 'quality' is lurking in the text of the accompanying article?

There will be 20 'reputed' gold groups "conspiring" in Quality Hypermarket. Good that we've been warned.

In fact the jewelry will be the "key attraction". So it won't be the food? Don't they know - man cannot live on gold alone.

There will also be "fresh meet" available on the ground floor. I always knew that hypermarkets were a good source of "trade", but never before have retailers boasted about it.

On the down side, there will only be one sort of "vegetable" for sale. Over time, they may extend their range to include multiple sorts of vegetables, if there is demand.

The three "gentlemen" in the attachment don't look like much 'quality' anyway. Their suits are not perfect, neither are their faces. They remind me of the car dealer back in my home town. Don't expect too much quality.

Oh horrah! Another 'hypermarket'.

I can barely contain my excitement.

*yawn*

What is a 'hypermarket' anyway? If a supermarket is a dingy suburban corner store with 2 aisles and rotting vegetables, what are the requirements to be a 'hypermarket'?
