A Question about superstition & belief
By heero_yuy2 •
If one's superstition or belief is brought in another country, will the superstition work?
Example: If a Chinese in Qatar celebrates it's Chinese New Year and usually does a certain preparation for good luck and prosperity in his place, will 'good luck' work in here?
Blessings come wherever we are...
The beliefs that my parents brought us up and learned are sometimes just can't shrug it away. I still practice some of it if it means no harm and changes to everyday lives here. Like on New Year, Chinese don't prepare birds, like chickens or anything with wings i don't really know why, and they prefer to prepare seafoods instead that they say it brings luck.. It means no harm, so i prepare seafoods in place of chicken or duck or turkey.
"There's nothing we can do to change the past, if it teaches you a lesson profit from it then, forget it."
In India we normally stop a car if a Cat crosses our path, because thats bad luck. But here cat brings good luck. Indians believe barn owl perching on your house is ill-omen whereas the white owl brings wealth and good luck. I have never seen owls in qatar!
That's a nice answer magicdragon. I learned a new joke from you.

Heero: I don't think belief or surperstition have nationality.
Only God Can Judge Me
الله فقط يمكنه محاكمتي
I am you and you are me, if you love i love, if you suffer i suffer
أنا أنت, و أنت أنا, إذا أحببت نفسك أحببت نفسي, إذا عانيتَ عانيتُ
It won't work, Heero. The properties of Earth's magnetic field are different. And they are essential for this hocus pocus.
