Question for Diabetics

My wife recently joined me in Doha. She is a Type I Diabetic that regularly injects insulin. I have 2 questions.

1. Can anyone recommend a good endocrinologist? One with a good grasp of the English language would be preferred.

2. She currently uses Humalog and Lantis brands of insulin. I have found Lantis at one pharmacy, though it is very expensive, but no luck finding Humalog. Can anyone help?

She brought a 6 month supply with her, but I would like to get a ahead start on finding suitable alternatives.

The other insulins that I have found at pharmacies here are older types of insulin, whereas the Humalog and Lantis are newer, contolled release insulins.

Thanks,
Brandon

Bring your wife to Qatar Diabetic Association immediatly. They will do some samples in few days under different conditions. They will give you a full report Then go to the gov. Medical centre near C ring road with the report. They have a specialist doc there. He speek very good English. consultation is free. all cost borne by HMC and Qatar Foundation. You need the health card although.any specific questions PM me. The doctor's name is Dr. Abdulla (I think). consultaion and 2 months medicine cost you only GR 48.00.
