questions on Muslim - Non Muslim Marriage

1. Let’s say the marriage has been performed in Qatari Shriah Court. Now, if NON-Muslim wife wants to divorce her Muslim husband, can she do it? Let’s say, no kids, property, or money issues are involved. Just to resolve the marriage. Can SHE initiate it? If she can, is it relatively easy?

2.Does husband have a control over his wife's salary?

I have heard that by the qatari regulation, a husband has rights to order transferring of his wife’s salary to HIS bank account.
Is that true?

thanks...

All the woman's money and property is hers in Islam and the husband is not allowed to touch any of it without her permission.

And a woman doesn't have to convert to Islam to marry a Muslim man. the only thing is that Muslim men are only allowed to marry non-muslim women who are jewish or either Christan. anyone woman who is not from the books (torah, bible and quran) is not permissible for him to marry in Islam

I really can't imagine a Qatari girl giving her salary to her husband... but they sure do spend their husband's salary!!!

and that quite a few Qataris married to non-muslims....women to do not have to convert/revert.

alrighty then abt the salary bit that was told to us when we got married some 18 yrs ago and even if the husband would like to have some of the money for what ever reason he has to ask her permission and even if she refuses he cannot do anything abt it.when a man marries a woman he has to provide for her in every way.........

life is stressful as it is, dont make it worse will ya...........

one of the good things about islam, is that you dont need a lawyer for who get what in a divorce, it's codified under islamic law, and to be honest i believe it's not that bad even if the woman cannot pretend to 50% of the money as i understand it , but at least she got right to something

Don't wait for the last judgment it takes place every day.

1) she needs to say "I divorce you" three times and it's automatically initiated

2) The man has NO control over the woman's salary.

@ansar, no reason why can't belive it because it happens A LOT.

Muslim men marry non-muslim women all the time

I cant believe that a marriage has taken place in the Qatari Shriah Court with a non muslim lady.I think before the marriage she has to be converted to islam to marry a muslim man.

YES! In Islam , a wife can initiate a divorce.. It is known as "Khulla"

As far as the money side is concerned, I am surprised, since Islam clearly states that a wife's earnings are solely her own..

I would suggest that this issue be dealt with by a scholar or legal expert from Qatar
