Rape in the Workplace
My Boss [name removed by admin] a Lebanese National, Marketing Manager of [name removed by admin] sexually abused me by touching my private parts while we were left alone in the office at [name removed by admin]. He told me not to tell anyone otherwise he will remove me from the company and tell bad things to our Qatari employer [name removed by admin] succeeded in abusing me when we were left to stay in out office one night and our car service left early. He told me to wait while he finished tidying up his room. He then called me inside telling me well discuss some marketing strategies. Though scared, I was more scared not to obey him for I have no business visa yet and he threatened to cancel me out of the company if i refuse and send me back home. upon entering he's office he went out to fetch a glass of water and I heard him locked our office door. upon entering [name removed by admin] remove her jacket and asked me if i knew how to do a massage. I told him no but he told me to do it otherwise. and told me they'll be working soon on my VISA. Upon massaging his back though im really nervous at that time. He suddenly grabs me and forced me to sit on his lap. and [name removed by admin] forced himself to me be grabbing me by my hair and forcing himself to kiss me. I started to beg not to for I have a child back home. and threatened to shout, He then covered my mouth by his big hands. [name removed by admin] is about 5'10 and im only 5'2 in height he then grabs a letter opener and pointed it towards me. acting to stab me with the letter opener. Afraid he started to open my blouse and ask me to remove my skirt. with my underclothes left He started to undress himself and still the letter opener in his hands pointed to me and asked me to give him an oral sex. Sobbing he pointed the knifelike letter opener on my neck and asked me to lean on the desk and forced himself to me. This time i was already crying and this made him laugh asking why would i cry when i already had a child and that i am no longer a virgin. he laughed at me when he was finished and told me that filipinos like me doesn’t have any place in the arab world. He gave me 10 Riyals afterwards and told me to take a taxi all the way to mesaeed. The next day I went to office late and still shaken from what happen the night before I saw [name removed by admin] talking wth our accountant [name removed by admin]. They were laughing while they throw a glimpse of me. Then we do our usual work that day. We came to our office late that night from a late night 10 pm meeting with a client near ramada signal. Our accountant [name removed by admin] was in his office and saw us come. i was about to leave our office to go home when [name removed by admin] and Egyptian national called [name removed by admin] to his office. [name removed by admin] then asked me to wait a while. After a few minutes [name removed by admin] proceeded to close the main office door. and told me [name removed by admin] would like to discuss with me my Business Visa. I went to his office while [name removed by admin] followed me. upon entering [name removed by admin] office I saw him undressing and turn my back only to be met by [name removed by admin] arms and grabs me into the office. [name removed by admin] was laughing while [name removed by admin] hold me. They then forced me against the wall and start to remove my clothes. reeking from [name removed by admin] cigarette stench. [name removed by admin] and [name removed by admin] takes turns in mashing my privates parts. from my breast, buttocks and all they want, they were like crazed maniacs laughing while they forced themselves into me. They forced me into the floor and forced themselves into me. They took turns of holding me down while the other forced himself to me also covering my mouth. I was crying frantically. after about an hour they allowed me to clean myself up and ask me to sign my contract if I would not tell anyone. It was a contract on a company Letterhead and told me they will legalize everything the next day. I kept my mouth shut for the weekend Friday. and went back to work on Saturday hoping for a better day. Finally I saw our boss the Qatari talking with [name removed by admin] in his office. [name removed by admin] told me I am not doing a good job and have to let me go. for then I saw our qatari boss signaling me to leave the office. [name removed by admin] told me the Qatari boss doesn’t approve of me and wished me to leave the company. I tried to go to the Philippine embassy but all they can do was to asked me for them to just give me a proper release document. They bought me a one way ticket home and cancelled my visa upon the directives of the Qatar Labor Law. [name removed by admin] told me that it is forbidden in Islam to have sexual relationship with Arabs, pertaining to what they did to me. I was devastated, they raped me and it turned out to be my fault? Is this what Islam is all about? Is the Arab Justice?
Mg ppl get real, u either just as stupid as she is and was, this was posted in 2007...so a dr test is not gonna work...this story however seems a little far fetched for me...hey tht is my opinion...live with it.
This girl is not the first and will not b the last to go through this as she calls it rape at work....It is happening more often to the filipina girls as apparently they have a reputation and if u have a reputation ppl will exploit it. On the contrary I have met some very good filipinas and the bad ones make it hard for the good ones to get by.
My suggestion is rather stay away nd find employment elsewhere or in ur home country, cause it will happen again.
My sympathies to you. This must be very traumatic, and you have been very very brave to publish this on a public forum. You have shown great courage. It is the first step to your recovery. HOWEVER, you have named these 2 guys in a public forum and made serious allegations about them. You cannot turn back now. There's only two things you can do now- see a doctor and see the police.
steroids blog
I don't believe this. Why you didn't go to the police station to report this? You wasted all of our time to reading such a ridiculous story.
i have doubts about this story being true but if it is you need to go to the hospital and get tested for any std's. unfortuantly doing a rape kit is too late. rape kits should be done within 24 hours of the attack. by the dna and evidence would be gone espeically if you have taken a shower. i think it's sad the phillipine embassy doesn't do much with cases like this.
Im sorry but i have a difficult time believing this. It is just as difficult to write about an experience like this as it is talking about it. Nevermind in so much detail.
nonetheless... those of you telling her that these animals will face justice are living in cloud cuckoo land. With no physical evidence (and i mean DNA) you cannot prove two people were intimate. Without an examination within hours (and certainly before bathing), this evidence is lost.
Second... even if intimacy is proven, you then have to prove it wasnt consensual.
This is just to illustrate how important it is to report these crimes IMMEDIATELY. However, even so, conviction is a lottery.
The very low conviction rate is a major factor in women not reporting these crimes. This conviction rate would be so much higher if these crimes were reported as soon as possible.
Before anyone has a go at me for anything because i dont believe this particular story; let me just reiterate that women do not deserve to be treated like this and men who do are scum and should be treated so.
It's so sad what you had to go through ! women sexual harrasment is a worldwide issue and every year more 'n more females around the world are falling prey to it and should never be tolerated or ignored u should have gone to the authoirty and reported this and i can assure you the govie of qatar would 've never taken such a seriosu case lightly you should have never slept on it
Bad peoples are there in all religons........
apparently, too many women are suppressed and dont know what to do.. be strong and do something about it.
unjust
If you are sincere in your words make sure 100% I am I will help you contact me I will send you my number in private message I am Muslim and religious say that respected the rights

I am slightly confused that why on earth u have to mention each & every detail here ?
No 1 is going to help u here & if ur telling the truth than u should go to the Police and make complain and if it was a joke than i must say DISGUSTING
Think ! someone from this site will forward this to ONLINE COMPLAIN along with your ID & it will take few minutes to trace u!
THINK TWICE, CUT ONCE
oops, this thread is really old, but i wonder what happened to this girl, and if justice reached this monster :'(
sorry i wasn't able to complete reading,
anyway try to record the mother F** voice or capture him in a video. so you will have an evidence.
this monster must be behind jail bars, it is a crime degree 1
textmyt.....You & your friend should lodge a complaint with the Police ASAP. Dont wait for something bad to happen.
Dear , sender of this msg
u must not ask those questions " Is this what Islam is all about? Is the Arab Justice? "
only ... if he is really Muslim he will nt do that . Not all written on them ID muslim they are .
Tanx
I know this thread is old, but I have concern on how this thing can be avoided?
I have read all your post from top to bottom. Most have sympathy and some even scolded Gabriella.
But the thing is there are so many out there who might be experiencing this kind of bad and cruel experience right at this moment, and some are waiting to happen.
My question is how this thing can be avoided if such threat is imminent? Cause I know a friend who's currently telling me that her boss is asking her to drop by his house to do massage on him. Is there any specific body or authority here in Qatar who entertains or handles this kind of threat?
I'm very much bothered and my friend is frightened on her Boss. Definitely, I myself wont let this thing happen to her ("over my dead body!"). I am willing to risk her job and send her back home at my own expense if necessary. But the thing is, is there any right authority or body that can help her at this stage? The Boss might get insistent and do something bad if my friend did not agree on his request!!!
Isn't it Sexual Harrasment is already been committed here? Since the boss has openly asked her this indecent request????
And if there is... I know there's a lot out there who will come out and complain about these monsters...
Im planning to send her back home the next time the boss opens this kind of conversation to her.
The thread is old, and these things don't happen in Qatar. Qatar is an Islamic state and only the government is allowed to sell alcohol.
I guess these monsters are result of their mothers being gangraped. Only such b...**** can have this kind of morality.
well why dont you go to police now & report them.U are no longer an employee of that firm too.Simply the police will gets u a medical test and it will be positive. Sorry about that if it iz true. Its u who is hidding not reporting them...
Gabriela or whoeva u r.... pls don't blame any religion or nationality. If ur story is true please go to the Police
i don't believe in these things , i think more about fiction.

Here relegion has nothing to do with since, they didnot do this for the SAKE of relegion. Now what u should do ( IF THE STORY U TOLD IS RIGHT ) is to seek police help. U can easily get justice as per ISLAM rules and laws. Go ahead !!!
Moderator shudnt have removed the names of those sinners...let those sinners know its nt easy to do n forget such grave mistakes...let then also b ashamed of their doings...Pls put their names back...
Sweetheart why dont u just go to police station and file a case, i assure u that the cops will do justice as i knew one of my friends who was a filipina was harrased in a cab by a muslim driver, after filing a case the driver was grabebd from his accomodation and was slpped whole day by the cops...they even caleld my friend and asked her to stab his face with her shoes..but she let him go....SO GO AHEAD AND FILE A CASE AND DONT BE SCARED OF ANYTHING OR ANYONE..PPL WUD JUST COME OUT AND SYMPATHISE BUT U GOTTA DO THE RIGHT AND REAL THING...
is that true?
i don't mean to be rude,
but uhm.. don't you think..
that's sort of.. uhm..
stupidity? oooppss..
i don't mean anything..
you know..
its just that..
she could have prevented that..
peace! :D
cheers,

I am really sorry and sad for what happened. But ISLAM does not allow them to do that to a woman that is not their wife. they shoul go to jeal and be killed. My husband is egyptian, he is a well qualified manager and treat all women emploees with great respect and professionality. Even I think it will not be much useful to report the fact to the police, you should do that to protect other women to receive the same treatement.fist of all you should be rapresented by a good lawer.
I am really sorry, ISLAM IS RESPECTING and those persons will go to hell for what they did.
OH MY GOD..!!
THAT'S HORRIBLE!!
why didn't you got o the police?? always ask for help!!
what were you thinking sweety??
I am so sorry for what happened...
and no..Islam isn't like that...it would never approve of such beings...they'd be executed for that...
try telling the boss, the qatari employer..maybe he'd help..sure he will...they all do..
PS: Labanese and Egyptions are said to be muslim, but one who rapes another, isn't a muslim at ALL!!!!!!
I second the comments of the-birdie and sadaf19852. when I read it, the first thing came to my mind was that a victum can not narrate the story like this i.e. in unnecessary details.
ernie you are rite, i am also thinking she is blaming islam and arabs even if the arabs are not the symbol of muslims.
This is so sad, but it is since 2007 is she still in doha? if what she says is true then its really sad i wonder why she went to work the next day after the first attac? and why immediately after the first attac she did not go straight to police station? can any one of you girls/ladies go to work/the same place that you had been sex abused immediately the next day? why? for money or for what? even if they would cancel ur visa so what?
now you are blamming islam or arab or qatar..did you try to report and they did not take it serious?
I found the true life in Qatar!
Y do you went office again after this incidents...?
I'm so sorry about what happened to yo..
Dont worry... Yo go to the police..
women are secured here much bettr than the western and philipino society.
Dont abuse the religion and culture..
islam and its culture is different.
i am sure you will get justise if you go to the police, and send one report to auqaf.
i dont find this incident true....she had explained evry aspect whtevr she experienced...how shameless...she could have easily stated evrythin in jst 5-6 lines but she opted to elobrate every point stating evrythin thing who was the boss, his nationality n how he behaved...where n how he touched...wht all he asked her to do..etc etc..
I doubt whether it is a real incident..... or someone tried to use a girls name and malign a boss....
anyway, if it is true,it shold be reported to Police. I am sure Qatar police is fair enough to give justice to the victim, if the case is true.
but the way , the "spicy story" is narrated , I doubt the intention of posting into the Group, instead of going to the Police
make your move,be strong and fight!
that kind of people doesnt have the
rights to live...f*** them all!
"Love is built on hope. Sure it is filled with risk and with disappointment, but it is still something that gives your life a greater meaning."
I simply wish this claim or story did not happened. Forensic behavior will tell you that victims of violence will not be able to compose their thoughts for weeks, months & even years. It will not be easy for them to stream every details & most often, they tend to forget many details due to trauma. But this one's so unique.
If this is true, of course my heart goes for her. But let us approach this subject with caution... until we heard it from a much reliable & authoritative source.
No use repporting it now. Matagal n nangyari at bakit now lnag nya isisiwalat. Magdasal k n lang na magkaroon k ng peace of mind and seek counseling. Di mo kaya magisa yan. Baka ma praning ka. Marami jan sa atin NGO na tumutulong sa kagaya ng dinaanan mo.
It is hard for me how other countries are so against enforcing sexual harassment laws. Women should not have to succumb to the dominant men in the world just becaue of what we have in between our legs. I hope that one day soon, no matter where a women is at in the world, that we can all be able to do our best to better our selves and our lives and know that the world we are doing it in will no longer try and hold us back.
Vista Bay
IF you are telling the truth, please goto the police, and name these guys to them, get the press involved.
Either way you are going back and hence you have nothing to lose, better you take action now, rather be in the plane and getting mad at the incidence while peering through the planes window.
But I know a similar thing happened to an indian national female, the minute this happened to her at her work, she left her sexual harassing company for a newer company & reported the idiot who harrassed her and he landed up in jail, the abuser was a senior guy and she was a assistant...so try the police..it wont harm you.
What has happened is an extreme form of an abuse, and unfortunately nothing can fix it, not even time can heal this rather the scars are so deep that they even sting years down the track.

If u are still in doha, u can fight for the justice, but if u left the country, then all of this is useless. forget it coz u kept yourself silent only for securing your job, and now when everything is finished, u are publishing your story to the public, plz respect yourself.

this thread is ancient! why dig it up now?
I agree.
Go home. And I am shocked by how some people here in the forum react! My! Blaming you. What a twisted world.
Go home to your home country and contact the lawyer there in the safety and in the protection of the country.
You see, no matter what, this is a country for Moslems. The law is different. Justice system (if there is any at all) is different. The law here (at least the one being implemented and not the ones who remain written, unheeded all the time) is for the Moslems.
I have an acquaintance who was arrested by the police without evidence nor investigation at all! All because an Egyptian Moslem complained to the police about him. No questions asked. He was detained in jail.
Now this is not about religion, yes.
Neither is the Islam religion bad. I have met a good Moslem. A rarity. It is the people who think they are above the law or superior against the non-moslems here because the law enforces let them behave as such.
As it is, the law in the Arab world are for the Arabs.
Telling it to the police would be in vain. Believe me. How naive of some people here to even suggest that. It is of your good judgment to go to the Phil. embassy and work your way home.
& indeed, very brave of you to have posted it here. At least other Filipina women are aware about it.
maderchood yeh saray arbay hain hi harami ki aulad! Gandoo sorry wht happened to you!
To xxhitsxx:
You're absolutely and completely wrong! WHAT THE HELL! No, she should not expect the worst. No matter where she is, no matter where she comes from, and no matter where she works in, NO MAN HAS THE RIGHT to abuse her like that. No man has the right to do anything to her against her will. And she did the right thing by posting this, to show people out there that there really are some jerks and asswholes here. And she has not told her family, by writing her experience, this is one step closer to moving on. She needs to move on, she needs to let out the anger and humuliation she feels. And writing it down is one way of doing that.
Honey listen to me, I'm a Qatari girl who was raped. I haven't told anyone except my best friend. I'm scared to tell my parents, and I'm scared to let people know. The reason I'm scared to tell them is BECAUSE I'M QATARI. People here will get the wrong impression of me because although there are some individuals who understand and know that it's not the victim's fault, Qatar as a society does not accept victims of rape. It is for this reason that I have stayed Quiet. I'm scared, and I need serious help. And I need to talk to a proffessional but I can't without my parents finding out. So instead, I'm keeping it all in, I'm crying all day. I cry all night. I even started to cut myself. I would to anything to go out and get proffessional help but I can't without letting my family in. YOU on the other have that amazing apportunity, make the best out of it. Go, go out and get the help you need. You'll feel so much better. I want to, and I need to. I'm not going to lie and say that I'm getting through this, I'm not. I don't know how to and I can't do it alone. I run to my best friend and cry on her shoulders but there's not much else that can be done if I'm planning to keep this secret. Trust me and go to a proffessional, talk about it. As hard as it may be, talk about it and let it out. Nobody deserves to go through what we went through, it's the worst, most frightning thing that can ever happen to someone. Don't let it affect you the way it affected me. I wish I can be there with you to help you through it but I can't. Please talk to someone. Get help, you can't do this alone, take it from someone who knows.
When you are outside of your house or community or country, EXPECT THE WORST! do not show weakness, kill if you have to, die if you have to, show them no mercy because you'll receive none.
PS. You should had not post this story.
so this company really is bad. the people is sex starve and should go in jail fo all eterniti. the shame they did give thisa country a bad name and reputation. this people should rot in hell.
i belive that this pilipini girl is just one of the many girl abused by th compani. i though before they are office worker but they are prostitue sale by manger
I Sting! I Rock and Roll!
I'm gonna trade this life for fortune and fame,
I'd even cut my hair and change my name!
Hey, hey, I wanna be a rockstar!
Hope your female blood relatives don't get to have the same experience.
Peace to you.
God bless and glad your home safe...
I been hearing more and more of this...
Makes me sick to my heart this abuse...
You can't teach experience...
To those who judge me wrongfully in this thread, hope you don’t have any blood family who gets to live the same ordeal that I have been though. And to those who share their sentiments, I thank you.
To those who suggested why I didn’t bother to seek police assistance, let me tell you for the fact that I wasn’t in my stable mind set that time, I was in a state of shock, confused and terribly afraid. The news regarding the arab teen who was gang raped awoken the hatred I have for those perpetuators who purge my identity when they take turns on abusing me. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/7096814.stm . Should I went to seek police assistance then, would I have not shared the same fate with this teenage arab girl who seek justice with her own people, her own people who was suppose to protect her ridiculed her, mock her and shame her calling her unclean and undeserving to be an arab woman. Did I/ teen lady choose to be raped? Do any of you who judge me have any idea what we went through? The ordeal that will haunt us forever. Would I who, who don’t even belong to the arab country be served justice? Would I even challenge my Qatari would be employer who holds a ranking police officer? When its allah’s own daughter was subjected in an inhumane act, was unjustifiably mocked. She who seeks police assistance as you suggested, were herself locked up while her perpetrator roams free.
I never meant to attack the Lebanese nor the arab in this post. My subject title was Raped in a workplace. I merely mentioned that it’s a Lebanese and an Egyptian who ill-treated me. I never opted to post to discredit nor have revenge on my perpetrator. I simply want to warn my fellow ladies who wish to work in Doha to be vigilant, because under those white garments and professional business suits lies a monster. I was dumb and scared, not knowing what lies ahead.
I’m now back in the Philippines. In Davao City. I’m in the process of self healing, with my family who never knew what transpired to me in Doha. I don’t have the courage to open up to my family, the pain that could cause them would be devastating. I chose to bear my own pain. Hoping that time itself would heal me.
To the admin. I would like to thank you. For with this thread the evils within the society are now known to those who are totally vague and also to serve as advice to be vigilant.

I think it's about time to leave her alone. this thread is been going on for days and according to some people she already left the country and is now safe. so I don't think you should try to add more things to say to Gabriella she had suffered already whoever people think who's mistake it was. hers for allowing it to happen to her or the bad people who did all this cruelty to her. just let her be now please and thanks! :)
gabriela means a fighter..i pitty you for what happened but it seems that you let them do that to you and you can't blame anyone. At first why you have to do the massage, just tell them you don't want!! and about the threatening with the cancellation of your visa..its ridiculous!! i would like to ask..what if the company make their promised to issued a visa for you,are you still post a column here?! i don't see your point right now after all those harrasment that you encountered you should at least report it to the authorities and since they make a fool out of you after they get what they want, now you shouting it out for the public to know or for you to get sympathized!!!
All u said is true, my relative works in Qatar Airways and has the same problem, after signing the lease, he realized that he couldn't leave his work for atleast 2 years, then cannot work with any other company for six month after resigining,,,I was like What the...., only if their were trade unions here, 80% of the companies in Doha will close immediately.
I'm sorry for what happened there with ur wife and the employer, some of them are really dumb and think that the people who work for them are slaves, they are just built up this way, but some are great and respect their work force and treat them like human beings.
But see the lease thing that happened is like a trap that is found in between the papers of the contract, my uncle didnt know about this until a month after he started, he can't even go on vacation for more than 2 weeks for crying out loud.
About the Islam subject these people who are terrorists dont even know what Islam is, Islam is the religion of harmony. They kill each other in Iraq and Palestine, which is a very stupid thing to do in the name of Islam, each one joins an organisation so u get team x, against team y, and with a couple of rocks thrown at each other they start killing each other. In my opinion these people aren't that close to Islam at all.

./`I don't wanna waste another day-Keepin it inside, it's killing me./`
Speaking about women covering or not, what are these men here, who star at women, uncontrolled animals? Even Koran says: lower your eyes. And they are even honking for covered women. so what's the point? Why we don't stare at the men? And would you like to live your life dressing in abaya and seeing the world through a scarf?

I am not a lawyer but I remember in one of my subjects back in the Philippines when I was still a student that a contract agreement may not be considered to be valid if you were forced and/or threatened to sign it. A contract must be signed by by both parties will full consent without inhibitions. You can still file a case against this barbaric people, and have a medical report to formally file a case for rape. If you are really forced to have sex with them with penetration, there will be some lacerations in your private parts if its forcefully made.
You need to do this for yourself, your children, family and ofcourse for all the women here in Doha who experienced and are still experiencing the same situation as what you had. If these people did this to you a couple of times, Im sure they will do it again and again to each and every women whom they think they can manipulate.
Its worth doing something than nothing at all.
I am relatively from the same culture as here in Qatar, and congested with agony and anger to the extent that compelled me avoid, to the best of my ability, to deal with the government of my own country (I’m an expat in Doha). I refused to work as a civil servant, even in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, just because I will not be able to handle the system-less mood-dependent clerks, deciding my own fate while sipping tea or coffee while chatting on the phone at their desk, in their workplace.
I wish this country and other similar countries, including mine, followed Islam as per the Quran. The dilemma is that our countries are not seculars and not religious either. There is no science/lab and certainly way, far too way from being a living example of God/Allah's kindness. That’s what is killing me.
Some pretend to know Allah! but He does not want to know us! Because His creation is failing Him. This is why most of Islamic countries will remain under the debris of their own wreckage. We will never rise up until we are united to be HUMANS of faith in humanity.
Also, some pretend to know Jesus Christ, they wear the cross as a chain, pendant and tattoo, while committing most hideous crimes, or performing lewd dancing and despicable shameful moves on TV screens with no respect to that holy sacred symbol, under the name of freedom of choice and expression.
Having said that, I take pride in being a Muslim Egyptian girl, who values equality, hard work, charity, integrity and more. I am fighting to be a good example to myself first and foremost, than to others. I cannot wait to gain other's respect if I have none for myself.
Again, I carry the same heavy load with you, your wife and thousands of other people. We are all in the same boat.
Now because of you!! I will have to compensate for the 35 minutes I took from my corporate time! no lunch break for me! I am starving already! how're you going to handle this hungry poor person Mr.!..:)
Salam
Your pain and anger are quite justified. Your appalling experience has alarmed me and others.
I know how many labor cases are being filed in this country and how they are dealt with.
I wont attempt to defend Islam or any other religion for that matter, but have to tell you that bureaucracy, political system and injustices are nothing related to religion or secularism, it is tied to a well established system applied with discipline, where violators are punished and justice is prevailing.
When a decent amount of popes are charged with physically assaulting the most innocent creatures on the face of planet, believe me, I will never go and say "Welcome to the land of freedom" or "I’m glad I ‘m an infidel and not a Christian" or" Is this the Christ's religion?"
Same applies when a killer murders dozens of innocent students in their school. Then the SYSTEM calls the perpetrator “Just mentally disabled”.
You can suffer injustice in a Jewish country too, where new-borns are killed and blown off into pieces. Then the SYSTEM calls it “Self defense procedure”.
I know better than that. I still, will not, for a second say “Is this Moses?” “Is this Judaism?” I judge any religion by the Book not by people’s practice.
You are just traumatized because you probably have never been exposed to this kind of lazy slow ignorant inhuman savage humiliating grinding treatment, in a country categorized as being Islamic.
I cannot console you enough, but know that I am with you, heart and mind.

to Qatar
You've been reading lot of Robert Spencer conspiracy theories ;)
All advice, very use full but who, will take after that..?
One more thing don't so close with men other wise, you will Got more problem
You all need to do a lot of homework about this rape issue. The word rape is not even in the Quran. Under Sharia, a rape requires four male witness to be proved. A woman who complains of rape is herself charged with adultery if she does not produce four male witnesses, and is often stoned to death in many countries. That was the case with Amina Lawal of Nigeria who was sentenced to stoning by Sharia court because she got pregnant and could not produce four witnesses. Only from a lot of world wide infidel (western) pressure was she saved. Thousands of rape victims are in Pakistani, Saudi, Afghani, etc. jails for lack of 4 witnesses.
Go do your homework. This is reality.
Could this women have gone to the doctor and proven with DNA that she had had sex with those men? Yes, but so what? Obviously, and as she explained, that isn't the issue. A lot of men apparently know all about what happened to her, and their response was just as what happens in all the other Muslim countries. Charge her with being a whore. It is her word against theirs. She cannot prove in any way over here that is wasn't consensual.
Here in Qatar, UAE, Oman, almost the exact same thing happens, but under the table. In very high-profile cases that the victim manages to get in the media, which is very rare, the "courts" will actually prosecute the offender if very obvious evidence exists.
Countless thousands of rape cases do not go to court at all because the authorities will not even listen to them. This happens all the time in Qatar. And not just girls are raped, guys are as well...
Go do your homework. This is reality.
The fact that you on on here attemping to defend this behavior, arguing that it's not "that bad" says all that needs to be said. Why aren't you actively going on message boards speaking out against the brutal reality of what goes on here in the Middle East? Why aren't you out picketing for workers rights and defending the abused workers here? Why aren't you out speaking against the dozens of terrorist attacks that take place every day? Instead of working for change you are defending the problem? You should seriously be ashamed of yourself.
You have known all the Ameircan Ambassadors here since '99? Well, if you have KNOWN all of them, perhaps you are much higher up the food chain than me and my family.
I have not lied about anything. And there was nothing random about it. You want the whole story? I will leave out names to protect the innocent but here's the gyst of what happened.
I'm a college student. As a college student my sponsor was unwilling to provide sponsorship for my wife. So she got a job. She is a certified teacher, so she got a job for a school here in Doha. She was the only American working at the school. There were a few British girls, but most were/are South Asian. As is typical with this place, the school turned out to be a very abusive organization. For example, all the girls that work for this school are provided with housing and whatnot. They all share a few villas. The western girls have their own private rooms, are allowed to drive, etc. The South Asian girls make 1/6 as much as the western girls, work longer hours and more days, are not allowed to drive, have an 8pm curfew, and are required to do free babysitting for the owner and the owner's friends on their one free day - Friday. One of the girls at the nursery is engaged. She wants to get married. The school will not let her off work while her embassy is open so she can get married. She has been trying to get married for over a year and they won't let her.
Are you getting the picture? The school was engaged in what amounts to slave trading, the same as we all see every time we simply drive down the road.
For reasons along these lines, because they were attempting to do similar things to my wife, she quit. She game them three months notice, well beyond the 1-month notice required by her contract, and quit her job. When she quit they got mad and told her to leave and never come back. So she comes home in tears about the whole thing. Before quitting I worked things out with my sponsor and they agreed to sponsor her on a family visa.
I then contacted her employer about getting the visa transferred and they wouldn't even take my calls. They would hang up on me, etc. After playing this game for a while they then said they would have her kicked out of the country and "blacklisted" so that she could never enter again.
At this point we went to a lawyer to see if that was even possible, and got conflicting answers from two different lawyers. But I was sufficiently convinced that it wasn't something I should fear. So we told them to go ahead and asked to have her visa cancelled.
They refused to cancel her visa. They said they wanted QR 18,000 to cancel her visa and let her go. I refused, at which point they then started to threaten her physically. They implied that they would have somebody kidnap her or that they would lie to the police and have her thrown in a deportation facility until we paid. Things along these lines.
I refused to pay this and went to the US Embassy and the NHRC (Human Rights Committe) on Salwa Road. I started a case, filled out a bunch of paperwork, etc. They strung me out for 3 weeks. After three weeks of talking to them by phone and email I went back in person to get an update. When they opened my file all the paperwork had magically disappeared. Poof, it was simply gone. The file was there with my name, but no paperwork.
So I had to start from scratch all over again. So I redid the paperwork and submitted it again. This time I went in person every other day to check on the status. I was finally assigned to a case officer.
The officer was a Qatari woman and this was her response. Her words - I kid you not. Speaking to my wife who was with me she said, "You have no right to quit your job. It is your employers right to do whatever they want since you want to leave. You must pay them."
Now understand this. Is is the sole job of the NHRC to plea FOR the plaintif - for the worker, the laborer. Their whole job is to simply prepare a letter requesting an exit permit which is sent directly to the Ministry of Interior. She refused to write a letter and instead ordered us to do whatever the employer asked.
The man I originally met and talked with at the NHRC is Egyptian. I contacted him after getting the run around from our case officer. He then explained something to me. He said the NHRC is currently undergoing a process of Qatarization. Historically it has been run by Egyptians, with the idea that they would be more fair as a third party. That is changing with the goal of better serving the interests of the Qatari employers. This is what he said to me. Are you understanding this? The whole point of the NHRC is to be a bloated bureacracy which purports to serve the interests of laborers when in actuality its a front for keeping the slaves as slaves.
So the NHRC would not help at all.
Three times during this whole fiasco we went to the US embassy. Once my wife went, once I went, and a third time I directly contacted the RSO - Regional Security Officer - through my friend who was a Marine guard.
Both when my wife and I went, nothing happened. We talked to a consular officer who was a clueless bafoon. This lady didn't know her butt from a whole in the ground. She suggested that I go to the police. I said, well, I don't speak Arabic so specifically where do I go and who do I talk to? She had no answer. No other suggestion. She said there was nothing they could or would do.
The RSO contacted a lot of people for me. Props to him, but in the end he said he couldn't help because it wasn't a matter for the police. If it was a police issue, he could help. But since it was a labor dispute, he had no power.
So we paid the QR 18,000, she flew to Bahrain and came back, and now is living her on a family visa.
What does this have to do with Islam? A hell of a lot! Islam is the ideology that has them treating people like slaves and animals. If you think otherwise you are profoundly ignorant. Look around you man. Read the Koran. What is happening in Sudan? What is happening in Nigeria? What is happening in Iraq? What is happening in Pakistan? What is happening in EVERY SINGLE MUSLIM COUNTRY? Slavery, Terrorism, etc., all in the name of Alla, Islam, Sharia Law, etc.!!! How can you say the way they treat people has nothing to do with Islam?
Some random thoughts ;
the nationality of the offender has a strong foothold in Qatar (community members holding prominent position). Probably, even I will think twice before going against him. (I am viewing things here from a women's prespective, please don't assume that I am pointing fingers at culprit's nationality ).
Summing it up, the first place a raped woman should go is the hospital.
Hi sorry to bother your, I am wrtting to you because you are lebanese. I have a product called cover for number plate . I am looking for some one who will market this product in Lebanon. If you do not mind please give me your email address I want to send you some picture to get your opinion about this product, to find out if you think there is a market for this product in Lebanon. My email address is [email protected]. Thanks.
Jahangir Hossain.
How on earth would there be four witnesses for a rape case. As far as I know these are generally a one on one case.
In most countries there is a rape procedure as DG said but the main issue is to go to the hospital and get the report many hospitals do inform the police too if the victim approves.
Nothing can be resolved if it is not reported to the police.
In Europe, I know for a fact that if she reported it to the police to late there is nothing they can do after the fact. Valuable evidence will be destroyed by showering etc.
Unfortunately Phillipinas have a reputation but again so do many other nations, and there is a lot more going on in Qatar than one would like to know, but I work with many of them, they are friendly and kind, and care a great deal about other peoples feelings and you can't tarn all with the same brush.
Rape is rape no matter who or what the man is.
If she had reported the crime, it might just save some other poor girl from being molested
Heishi, I don't believe what you are saying for a moment. For starters, you don't need four witnesses to prove you have been raped. People have been prosecuted for rape in this country. There is a procedure for medical staff and police to follow. They may not have a perfect record but they most certainly do not consistently ignore complaints.
I think you do the US Embassy a diservice here. I am a personal friend of the most recent Ambassador and so know how they try to help their citizens. In fact their citizens have often been protected from the law here which I think is wrong. One case I was told about was when a man beat his wife senseless, all bloody face, etc. The police were called by a neighbour. The Embassy got involved and somehow this man got off with it because he was an American citizen. The police were mighty angry about that.
This has nothing to do with Islam. This has to do with the laws of the land. If you were in Italy talking like tbis you would hardly say 'is this Catholicism?, welcome to Christianity!, etc.
Give me a break.

being friendly but you know in this part of the word "friend" has a different meaning.
But I agree with you "SOME" (not all) Filipinas are being over friendly and trustful that they forget it's not usual here to shake hands with the opposite sex, even hand shake makes some really get excited (perverts really)
Cheers!

didn't read everyones comments, but what I think is that the lady should have reported it the first time it happened...she didn't,rather she went to the office which was like "I AM OK" with what happened..and that again gave other guys to opportunity to do it all over again with her (IF IT REALLY DID HAPPEN)!!
Religion/Nationality/Creed/Race has nothing to do with the wrongs and rights in this world...its the individuals who are solely responsible for any misdeed/miscounduct....
and with due respect and outmost frankness...filipino ladies have befriended guys from all nationalities and go around everywhere with these guys...which has created a overall wrong impression about them...GUYS, not every person is BAD, whatever the nationality or religion...so try not to play with someones feelings or hurt anyone..
Yes I'm serious unfortunately.

My dearest Gabriela, I wish I was in Doha, I would come straight round to see you and come with you to the police.
I had something very similar to this happen to me 20 years ago and I never reported it to the police, and to this day it haunts me that the scum got away with it.
Last March I was raped again and this time I went straight to the hospital who contacted the police.
I know I'm in the UK so it's different, but you REALLY have to go. Just because you are going late doesn't mean it didn't happen and these scums can not be punished.
If nothing else at least their names will be on file and if anyone else reports them it will be helpful to them.
As you didn't report it, they are bound to do it again and again till they get stopped and I'm sure they've done it before too.
You MUST get checked out at the hospital for STD's too. It's all very horrible and traumatic, but you must do it, if not for yourself for others you may infect.
Stay strong. and know Allah will punish them even if the police do not.
Hugs
Khadija
i cant even finish reading the story..its just so bad i cant read it anymore...im so sad...and it pains me to hear this...i cant even imagine what else could be worst than the devil..there is, the men who made this to you..i hope they all die..if diri pa sila sa davao..gipamatay na silang duterte...
when the going gets tough...i get going..
I feel very sorry for you. May those morons get life term...
after this incident female employees shud seriously start thinking abt their working habbits. I have seen many sitting in office after office hours. Let it be any thing - pls do not sit in the office after the regular hours. Incase it is so urgent, ask some of your office mates to wait for you. Let us all try to prevent such events from happening.

I love every single word you've expressed in your previous 2 responses titled "WorldExplorer" and your latest response about the nationality of the perpetrator.
Oh and by the way, suppression and oppression never were prescribed in any of the Holy Books. Both were invented by mankind. Borders, racism, classism and all other ugly forms of inhumanity, were delivered with the same package. That is why they are called “savage and inhuman".
Good on you.
Salam
Sorry to hear your sad story.
If anyone got sexually abused, please collect lots of pieces of evidence to support your claims. Police are not God.
I think men should not be allowed to be with women.
The two men who commited sexual abuse to you will have severe punishment in Hereafter.
Maybe you could ask Allah to help you. Ask Allah to give you happieness now & in Hereafter while you show your patience.
if you don't want to get hurt of your own words, choose also yours..
bdw, back to the topic.
What is the situation now?
i hope this is not a hopeless case..
Was this comment aimed at you? im not saying that you are the "monkey brain" ?? it only applies to those who reacts and know themselves very well. have u read the whole paragraph? if you are hurt, then its not my fault anymore..its you who reacted, and i dont blame you for that. lol.
and if somebody reacted of that post, maybe they really are.
"BATO BATO SA LANGIT ANG TAMAAN WAG MAGAGALIT."
a difference in how men react...yes, I have...
Actually, turned out I got MORE attention when covered up than I did when having tighter fitting clothes, which I thought was really interesting...so your theory of covering up doesn't hold water...
I know a lot of guys that say the coverings just make them more interested because of what "might" be under there....go figure...
and I do find offense to the term "slumming around with expat women". That's truly offensive to me...so if everyone is to watch what they say, ir religion/culture, whatever.....then EVERYONE watch it, not just the expats...
I am sorry for what happen to you
but it is not related to islam or arab
- Are you think that the arab and muslum men who is the only rabe the girls?
- Are you think that the islam ask as to rape the other?
- if i watch porn movies i saw alot of girls do sx and put cross is it means the cristian ask the girls to be hockers?
of course not all religion ask ppl to be good ppl and in islam the punishment of such rape is the killing
GOD help you
I agree with Karin... this is not useless at all. We can learn from the story on what anyone should do if in such a situation or a similar situation. Anyone can have time to think what step to take as early as now and not just when you are facing it right at your face.
A good comment and now we are all sensored lol.
she's busy reporting this one in Philippines (if she's already there), 9 hours flight (if it is direct if the company give her ticket through QA if through other airlines might be more) and don't have time yet to log on to QL and answer all our questions.

i dunno if anyone remembers this thread. A topic about the company referred to hear was published on 21/6/2007 by a person who has since left Doha.
For those who remember the name do a search on QL and you will get the information.
I dont think this topic is useless and a waste of time just because the victim opted to be silent. We could ponder the lessons of the story.
This can be a WARNING to all that things like this happen in REAL life and not only in the movies.
Be smart and keen not to allow yourself in a situation where you could be helpless and defenseless...

It is interesting that there was no feedback in fact this was just going through my mind.
She has recieved a great deal of sound advice but I think she may not be in the country.
Myself, I would never give up without trying for justice.
I think the thread has played itself out.
Noddy
To be quite honest I don't care if you are my point of view or not and I don't care if someone agrees with me or I with them, and I am not rude at the very most sarcastic.
Amnesia
You know the law here better than I do so I can't comment on it, but I will find out about it in detail be sure.
If the law is on the side of rape victims, I am sure many others would have reported incidents already, this would make me concerned that nothing has been publish concerning this. There is often the odd case of maids being assaulted but I have never read of any remedies.
In any case I was not looking for answers, merely pointing out that these are the kind of questions that would be asked of her by the police and just things that went through my mind I don't do interrogations.
Reporting rape is an extremely humiliating situation for a girl and afterwards trying to put it all facts together is very difficult afterwards asthe girl is ashamed normally.
However, on the other hand I presume that she would have to be in the country to place a complaint.
She has had a great many sympathetic replies and good advice, its up to her now to play her cards the right way.

Was this comment aimed at me? No monkey brain here I'm not the one who is eating the peanuts.
"**dandy0510 also correct, those who are monkey-brained dumb people just shut up if nothing good to say.. you will just add pain to the feelings of the victim"
As I said earlier, my full sympathies asre with the victim of this most brutal and vilent attack.
However over 200 postings later she has no comment. Curious. There are people here who would help her.
The thread title is beginning to grate too. What has being Lebanese got to do with anything? _______________________________________________________
Love is the answer...
We are just wasting our time in this forum. The victim just does not want to stand up and say anything. I guess we should discontinue this topic now.
Off the topic, but
Why are you so rude and get upset if people don't agree with or your view point
I don't need an essay as an answer
**Amnesia is 100 percent correct that nothing will happen even we post many messages here if the victim won't stand up for herself. she must take action asap.
**dandy0510 also correct, those who are monkey-brained dumb people just shut up if nothing good to say.. you will just add pain to the feelings of the victim.
The law is that a woman does NOT need proof, although that it can help.
A full investigation will be put into place.
To be honest, she should have reported this straight away because they would have done a doctors check up and concluded she was forced.
why did she go back for more?
She had no choice and rape victims do not think logically.
Why did she not talk to the Qatari and tell him what happened?
Fear.
The law is on the side of rape victims. Now whether one wants to debate that, it deserves another topic. I am stating it as it is.
"What I understand is that she received a ticket to go home, the embassy did not react on acted on her behalf to get the ticket, they may not have believed the story."
Whether or not, she should have fought the issue rather than let it go. All I can say is that the longer she takes, the less chance she has.
"There are so many points open - the police would find holes in the story and my personal opinion is that she wouldn't have a leg to stand on."
I agree to an extent. She still has a small chance BUT it would still be usefull to 1) scare the guys so that they don't do it again in the future and 2) keep them under serveilance.
If another report came in one day, it's finito.
__________________________
Without proof what can she do. This is a case that will be difficult for her and to be honest why did she go back for more, why did she not talk to the Qatari and tell him what happened.
She should have told the police immediately - but her work contract was the central issue for her, she wanted to keep the job, she should also have had a copy of the contract.
I am sure this happened to her and I am very sorry about it, but the police will pull the story to bits and unfortunately some other reprisals may come.
What I understand is that she received a ticket to go home, the embassy did not react on acted on her behalf to get the ticket, they may not have believed the story.
There are many questions in my mind connected to what happened.
1. Did she get the proper release?
2. The visa was cancelled although she said they were working on it so what went on here?
3. Why was it a business visa?
4. Did she come in on a visit visa?
5. If they let her sign the contract, why would she want to work for such a company?
6. The humiliation must have been great on her part so why did she go into the office again after two men raped her?
7. How did she get home? Who took her??
8. She does not say if she was living alone so why did she not call somone to help her??
There are so many points open - the police would find holes in the story and my personal opinion is that she wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
this thread is useless if the victim doesn't do something.
Go to the police, Human Rights Authority, the boss of the company, the newspapers, SOMETHING.
Staying silent while this thread just gets longer and longer is stupid.
We might as well just be talking to a wall.

i think this if forum is for helping the victim.. if you dont want to help, then pist off and eat your stupid comments that does not help anything. we are in process of investigating. so the people that have nothing good to say, better shut your mouths.

Something wrong in this story, How can this lady go back 3 times to a place where she experienced really really hard time and very bad experience?
The impression here if her boss provided her the working visa then there will be no problem otherwise it is a big issue and Islam culture is questionable.
I am not defending the rapist action who could be any one, from arab origin or from any other ethics or nationality so please change the title you cannot insult the whole lebanese community like that.
In my opinion she had to report the incident the first time it was happened and immediatly no matter what will be the consquences... Unless she was willing to make trade off
Noddy go back to sleep and let sleeping dogs alone.
We know what the forum is about, this was a part of the discussion.
what was the names that was removed by the admin?
Where women are less covered... I mean why are we arguing on this point in terms off covering and not covering the stats speak for themselves.
Covering up does help against people looking at you.
Have you ever experienced it i.e. covering against uncovering, try it and you will notice the difference
The point of this forum is that this girl was abused and that is wrong, there is no mention of covered or uncovered.
Covering up doesn’t really prevent from being molested. Dozen of women are sexually harassed in the streets & public transportation of Cairo daily , And they are covered up.

To Gabriela, I'm so sorry to learn what happened to you kabayan. It doesn't surprise me that the Philippine Embassy hasn't been much of help, at least of finding you a lawyer or assisting you to the police station. I don't know what else to say, I'm speechless.
This is not being rude it is a matter of fact and no matter how good your intentions are with your post, you are not here to judge as I said before.
The Abayas does not validate your point, I mentioned it because whether you are covered or not men will look at you. (you being the mass of course)It is the animal instinct in a man nothing more - men are natural hunters.
Your right about the abayas in City Center....completely validates my point
Who is getting Rude in my presence :?
well every one is talking out their life time experience.
[img_assist|nid=21285|title=.|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=|height=0]
No need to be rude, dear.
I have my opinions and religous beliefs as a Muslim. They are not mine alone.
Time does not change what God has instructed us for our better life and afterlife. He sent us numerous Prophets to teach us and was sealed by the Quran.
It is none of your business and what happened 50 years ago has passed and gone you should not feel resposible fo rthe modesty of women or men for that matter.
When I was younger we went out with hat and gloves we also never went out with bare legs as this was considered to be terrible.
These days are long gone and so is good fashion for that matter and the nature of people has changed, hoever, as I said earlier there is no one who can hold off progress it is the run of the life.
Don't kid yourself about the Aybaya thing it is just not true you only have to go to city centre on the weekend and you will see exactly what I mean. Come back to reality dear.
I didn't say that a women being covered prevents her from being raped. It is an extra protection and many women don't go out alone, hang around with strange men or out in places they will be put into harm.
As I said, the men look, but they are not looking at what's under the abaya when they can't see it.
What the bible tells us is in Corinthians 2, that it would be better for a woman to shave her head than to show her glory. And talks about a woman covering....and that's the New Testament.
Women in the US even 50 years ago dressed extremely modestly. My mother never went out with a skirt above her knees, and wore a hat and gloves. Not too long before that, women wore dresses that went to the floor and covered them up to their chin and down to their hands, with a hat or a bonnett. It's modesty, not culture.
I am not judging people here. It is really frustrating to see all these problems that are destroying families, when simple rules from our religion are meant to prevent that.
You are right.....the people go away from their religion to catch the things that are really so unimportant in this life. Islam is a cure for all things, a guide for life, but you'd never know it if you look around here.
I think it was Yusef Islam (Cat Stevens) who said something like: If I had known Muslims before I knew Islam, I would not have waned to know Islam"
I feel the same.....thank God I was Muslim for many years in the US before I came here to see the behavior of the people. I may have never wante to know Islam either. But alhamdulillah those of us born and raised in the west have the chance to see Islam purely for what it is, not mix cultural things and cloud it. Not all are bad, but when you convert to Islam you have a high expectation that the people will actually behave as the Quran and sunnah guide us to. And when you come here and just find people lying and cheating and slumming around, it is really frustrating. How many men are slumming around with non-Muslim expat women when there are so many of us who've converted to Islam who are still single.
Just venting.....excuse me
A woman being covered will prevent her from being raped- where in the world did you get that information? So you are saying that even in wars covered women don't get raped. You are living on another planet dear.
To the gawking of men - well many labourers are here without women and they will look at women anyway whether they are covered or not is the natural instinct of a man as you say.
To covering of the hair in churches - well also this is a thing of the past many still do out of respect for God but then again many don't.
You talk about the Virgin Mary and the statues made of her - well that way of dressing may have been the cuture at that time we don't really know we just go with what the bible tells us.
In a culture where the Aybay and Hijab are worn generally and it belongs to the cuture it is easy for the women to wear it, however, I feel it is not the right way to impose their dress on other cultures.
I am not a lover of scantily dressed women as they do impose a danger on themselves, however this is a risk each and every woman has to take for herself.
You can't hold off progress in the world and I do wonder where you take the right to criticise the society here and moreover the women.
I don't want to go into the adultery and sexually transmitted diseases as this would be a never ending story.
At the end it is not for you to judge anyone as you yourself are also a creature of God judgement is left for God and God alone.
You post is just ovewhelming with self justification
those Abayas are getting lighter/ transparent (I hope this the right description of the materials) that you can also see the shape of the body.
In Bahrain, they are wearing Abayas there with those fashionable prints, that somehow will catch the attention of non-covered women or at least my attention.
Cheers!

So because women who cover get stared at too, nothing that I said is true?
I cover completely, with abaya and cover my face and the men that look at me never do anything innapropriate because I don't respond to them, have my bluetooth on, or walk as if I'm looking for attention.
There is a big difference....The men are trying to get a reaction out of the covered women, not staring at their half naked bodies. Many women here don't cover properly to begin with. The hijab is to cover the entire shape of the body, but many women here have abayas made to fit their shapes and get the attention of men out of desperation for attention or some reason other than the intention of the hijab, to be a screen between them and that kind of attention.
I remember walking in Villagio one night with my friend, and this....herd...of women walked in with abayas, short pants and stillettos under, scarves covering half of their hair "clothed, but naked" as it says something like that in the Quran. That's probably more attracting to men because it looks like they're on the prowl for the wrong thing to being with. Every one was staring at them, a few men were walking behind them like dogs bluetoothing them, but the majority of the men were saying bad things to them in disgust, not want or admiration.
Subhanallah.......for those of you mentioning how the men gawk at the women walking on the streets here.....That's because it's SOOOO unusual in this culture for a woman to be uncovered. It's human nature that a man will look at a woman, and further entices them when they are fully uncovered amongst fully covered women. Covering isn't a thing that started with Islam. Look at the Virgin Mary...every single statue, picture, etc. she is covered just as us Muslims cover. I am Muslim alhamdulillah, but I was raised Catholic in the US, and there wasn't a Sunday that I went to church that many a lady didn't have their heads covered in church too! In many places in the Latin world, it is a requirement that women cover to go into the church. Jewish women cover their hair or wear wigs (hmm) and cover their bodies as well. It's called "modesty". It's a protection, not only for you, but for the man who has an obligation to his own wife and family to stay loyal, honest, healthy and strong and be the leader of his family. It isn't about that a man should be able to control himself...they are men and it's human nature to look. And the hijab (covering of the body and, despite what you may see here, the hair...allllll of the hair). It's the dignity of a Muslim woman who has modesty. I am really upset when I see expats here in Qatar completely disrespecting this culture by dressing sexy. They know better. What kind of a person comes to a Muslim country and wears mini skirts, tank tops, tight ass pants and then gets UPSET that a man looks at them??? Big mystery there! If the society were truly following Islam, there wouldn't be so many families being broken up over adultery, sexually transmitted diseases among other things. It is far more upsetting when I see the Muslim women here do it. Who started this cover your hair half way things? Why wear it at all then??? Where is the taqwa of these people who have had Islam in their land from almost the beginning of Islam and have the language of the Quran on their tongue. It's a big shame what's happening here. Women being raped, adultery is rampant, the total breakdown of the family. Ya Allah ihdina sirat al mustaqeem ameeeeen
women who cover get stared at too but lesser than those who really dress provocatively!
Cheers!

I sympathise with her but she forgot that Qatar's population is mainly made up of ROBOTS, robots who do what their masters tell them to do.

Thank you!
with her in the office that night and saw it with your own eyes and then you went with her to the hospital???And brought her home and staid with her the whole night and the following time?Because if that happend to a friend of mine for sure i would do that. And not talk about it in an offical Forum.Sorry but it sounds to strange for me.

Yes! she does exist and she can read this while she's bursting into tears. I just let other people to start ranting so we know who really has sympathy with her. no more further information I'm afraid until the person gets investigated. I have forwarded the email to the office of Ombudsman as proof that our Embassy is no help to our fellow country people here. Sad but true!
I'll take that as confirmation that she really do exist...so, if you don't mind extending my regards and sympathy to her and on behalf of all the QLr's

Lebanese Rapist posted by Gabriela Nilapastangan from QL.
My Boss Maniac a Lebanese National, Marketing Manager of Masturbation Company sexually abused me by touching my private parts while we were left alone in the office at Hell Street. He told me not to tell anyone otherwise he will remove me from the company and tell bad things to our Qatari employer. succeeded in abusing me when we were left to stay in out office one night and our car service left early. He told me to wait while he finished tidying up his room. He then called me inside telling me well discuss some marketing strategies. Though scared, I was more scared not to obey him for I have no business visa yet and he threatened to cancel me out of the company if I refuse and send me back home. upon entering he's office he went out to fetch a glass of water and I heard him locked our office door. upon entering Maniac remove his jacket and asked me if I knew how to do a massage. I told him no but he told me to do it otherwise. and told me they'll be working soon on my VISA. Upon massaging his back though I'm really nervous at that time. He suddenly grabs me and forced me to sit on his lap. and Maniac forced himself to me by grabbing me by my hair and forcing himself to kiss me. I started to beg not to for I have a child back home. and threatened to shout, He then covered my mouth by his big hands. Maniac is about 5'10 and I'm only 5'2 in height he then grabs a letter opener and pointed it towards me. acting to stab me with the letter opener. Afraid he started to open my blouse and ask me to remove my skirt. with my underclothes left He started to undress himself and still the letter opener in his hands pointed to me and asked me to give him an oral sex. Sobbing he pointed the knife like letter opener on my neck and asked me to lean on the desk and forced himself to me. The next day I went to office late and still shaken from what happen the night before. I saw Maniac talking with our accountant Maniac #2. They were laughing while they throw a glimpse of me. Then we do our usual work that day. We came to our office late that night from a late night 10 pm meeting with a client near Ramada signal. Our accountant Maniac #2 was in his office and saw us come. I was about to leave our office to go home when Maniac #2 and Egyptian national called Manya to his office. Maniac then asked me to wait a while. After a few minutes Maniac proceeded to close the main office door. and told me Maniac #2 would like to discuss with me my Business Visa. I went to his office while Maniac followed me. upon entering Maniac #2's office I saw him undressing and turn my back only to be met by Maniac #2 arms and grabs me into the office. Maniac was laughing while Maniac #2 hold me. They then forced me against the wall and start to remove my clothes. reeking from Maniac #2 cigarette stench. Maniac and Maniac #2 takes turns in mashing my privates parts. from my breast, buttocks and all they want, they were like crazed maniacs laughing while they forced themselves into me. Finally I saw our boss the Qatari talking with Maniac in his office. Maniac told me I am not doing a good job and have to let me go. for then I saw our Qatari boss signaling me to leave the office. Maniac told me the Qatari boss doesn’t approve of me and wished me to leave the company. I tried to go to the Philippine embassy but all they can do was to asked me for them to just give me a proper release document. They bought me a one way ticket home and canceled my visa upon the directives of the Qatar Labor Law. Useless person told me that it is forbidden in Islam to have sexual relationship with Arabs, pertaining to what they did to me. I was devastated, they raped me and it turned out to be my fault?
Any reason her sponsor refuses her exit permit escapes me too, jauntie. Her contract is finished, the family she worked for has left the country and she wants to go home.... so why keep her here?
I think it is only here in ME that this sponsorship and exit permit occurs... but I could be wrong...
why would the sponsor refuse the exit visa? I'm truly lost with this subject. Is it only in the Middle East this sponsor thing and exit visas occurs?
There is thread on the Filipino forum regarding a househelp whose contract is finished and the British family she worked for has left Qatar. Her local sponsor doesn't want to give her an exit permit so she is now stranded here and is now living on dole out of her friends. Sadly our embassy's only advise to her is to submit herself to voluntary deportation which will subject her to 7 days in jail. So she has to surrender her dignity and suffer incarceration just to go home.
They say the deportation center is like a hotel but to me jail time is still jail time and it is trampling on the dignity of the innocent if they are sent to jail.
I'm afraid I don't really understand why there is all this 'exit' visa malarkey. I recall, back in about 1981 or so, when my husband was in Basrah and Iran was heavily shelling that area, hub and some others approached the powers that be to get exit visas to get the heck out and were refused!
Nightmare scenario.
very sad, im speechless
but this story touched on some basic issues facing the expatriate community here:
1. Some of the diplomatic missions here are not able to lift a finger in protest to help their citizens in distress. Maybe they don't want to cause a rift in relations between an oil-rich nation and their oil-dependent country. All they can do is send their countrymen back home with shattered dreams and trampled dignity.
2. Sponsorship laws should be revisited, if not abolished, because it is prone to abuse. It is good if your sponsor is a law-abiding citizen but if it is some unscrupulous person then a poor worker will always be under his mercy. I think Qatar should think about it as it tries to gain the IOC nod to host the 2016 Olympics.
I won't delve into the issue of rape because it has been thoroughly discussed here but the above issues I think affects both men and women workers in this region.
Why can't QL do some inquiry to know the truth about these allegation, since they must have the original names of the person and company involved. QL must do some initial basic queries whether the concerned company exist and the accused people and the victim Gabriela(if the name is real)work for the said organization. This will straight away help in knowing the truthfulness of the story.
Nice of you. Let's hope she's alright now, wherever she is, even if she didn't get her justice here at least she's still alive and managed to go home as my friends told me.
I am deeply sorry for what these animals put you through. My heart goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers. Just know that no matter what anyone says it's not your fault that this happened to you. You are not to blame and that's what matters. Thank you for being a brave woman and sharing your story, hopefully encouraging other women who have been in similar situations to come forward with their ordeal. May Allah grant you the peace and Justics that you seek. Peace...

OH Just looked at your profile - Hong Kong. Nice - we lived on Lantau up until about 3 years ago :D
oh well that's it for today. it's pass 1am here. time to sleep. good night everyone.
yes was a quite vicious attack. More to this thread than the eye sees, methinks. But then I thought that originally, that's why I didn't make any comment at first.
The response you’re referring to has been removed. I copied it instantly into my word document. I’m not intending to re-publish it under any circumstance. I meant to give myself full opportunity to analyze it, knowing that Admin will quickly delete it (right action on their part).
The post is so full of hatred and anger. It names 2 people in a big company and says that Gabriela is back home now and crying for justice to be served.
sorry can't understand what you mean by that. do you mean banned here or in Qatar?
It mentioned a few to many names! reneledbetter is also a newcomer to QL and the only 'buddy' on his/her profile is a banned one, so .... the plot thickens! muhahahahaha
I saw it and copied it too! but can't find it when I was about to reply. I think someone deleted it.
and named names, so quite right it was taken out. However, although it was headed "reneledbetter said Gabriela's up date. ..." it didn't mention anything about rape. It DID mention Labour Laws etc.
I was surprised you all missed it!
I know I'm not going mad, because I copied the post, but someone called 'reneledbetter' posted a 'response from Gabriela' and named a company. Was I the only one who saw that?
I've checked page 3 and this page 4, but can't see it now ...
Maybe I will look again.
totally agree with you..think twice, post once..
just make me want to whack you up side the head sometimes with a book but that's ok...and you can be charming in your own way, extra kilos or not...but we do need to adjust your way of thinking at times...
Be strong, don't back-off, and have the resolve to seek justice. You need to fight no matter how hard, no matter how dim your chance maybe. Remember Gabriela Silang! Don't let anyone to just roll over you! What ever the outcome, you will be proud to say that you have fought.
My thoughts and my prayers are with you.
you are a young fella and hence are still learning...never stop..that's what keeps you young..at heart and mind and soul. Congrats, you just made a huge step towards understanding women!
I'm going on women and the way they think...of which i am one..last time i looked, at least. women are a lot stronger than what some men give them credit for...some aren't..those are the ones that take their own lives...because they can't deal with things, or don't have the resources to get help.
This subject isn't a wotever...its a bad one...and unfortunately does happen, everywhere. I still say you need to learn what constitutes rape..seems you are mislead.
this is one subject that pushes my buttons BIG TIME...
Women have a tough enough time trying to make sure we toe the line and keep trying to advance and then to have someone come along and take it all away in one fatal swoop is devastating. I realize men can be raped also and its no less devastating but the female rape is a much more common occurance. A lot of it is due to the mindsets of men, unfortunately and what they think they can get away with forcefully. It IS a crime whether its penetration or oral..and yes, it can be oral too, if the victim feels threatened...if its NOT consentual on BOTH party's parts then its rape.
Please don't use television to get your impressions about life and its issues. Use the internet, books, and other factual sources before making a hurtful statement like you just did, please, for your sake. It will make you a much more reliable source in the long run.
Hmm, just read your last post...I take it back...you are WRONG...dead wrong..it was rape..plain and simple..you need to go read what the definition of rape is, Salax
or to put it another way, why would you want to do that?
I don't go to mythical places with strange men.
-- Douglas Adams, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul.
salax: shut up until you grow up.
you are mentaly unbalanced and offend many people.
When i first read it I thought it was untrue because i didn't think this is how a woman would relate such an issue. the style of writing didn't resonate with the facts for me.
However the immediate concern means the benefit of the doubt must be given and see how the lady can be offered help.
What does surprise me is:
a) why is it so difficult for people to understand her not reporting it.
b) your over confidence in anything being done if she did.
she felt they were just as helpless as she felt...no impact whatso ever...so came to the horse's mouth so to speak..who knows...
Group? I haven't looked back through thread and can't remember. I can see she has only been a member here just over a week (same as probably many other new members) but this is the first time she has posted in the forum and I guess she didn't post in Egyptian Group either?
Gabriela, why didn't you first approach the Filipino Group? They have a HUGE community here on QL and would have helped you for sure. I think some have said so in this thread. From what I know of our lovely pinoys and pinays here, if they have any problem or want to speak to their own countrymen, they ALWAYS do so in their own language in their own Forum.
Hope I got the pinoy/pinay thing right chaps! :D
Please don't procreate, we have enough problems in this world. You don't think it was rape yet you lick your lips at the prospect of stoning someone to death in a sack! Good grief man!
I don't go to mythical places with strange men.

Since I read this post last night!! I've not been able to be myself all day long today!!! I am trying to find faults but I do realize the high possibility of being a true plight.
Even animals would have had more shame!
Mercy!
on the off chance it's real...not a pretty thought, is it?
I don't know why we're discussing law and prejudice? the perpetrators are not locals. The easiest procedure for the justice system here, is to deport them and have a fair trial held in their homeland.
Also bear in mind that this might be just a male colleague or subordinate disgracing their co-workers and slandering them by mentioning their full names and associating them with the most despicable crime known and committed by most ruthless monsters.
Or maybe I'm just desperately trying to lead myself away from the truth this post might be carrying. It is not like it is the first of its kind. Tragedies happen daily!
raped, sexually exploited or molested then i say..back off..who are you to say what is rape and what isn't??? According to her story...she was held down and forced to have intercourse..that constitutes rape. Geez man...have you no shame???
and no..most rape victims do not resort to suicide..where do you get these ideas??? TV????

I am with you.
But just in case her story is correct, have some consideration.
How can anyone after all the incidents be normal and reply to all or any of the comments in QL etc etc etc.
On the other hand, if it is just as you mentioned.. she needs to apologise to one and all.

back home and here don't seem to jive too well either. All I can think of is that she was scared to lose her job/visa, for her family's sake, which is why she kept showing up and staying for meetings...who knows..we won't ever be able to know why.
Dear Gabriel most of us here in the forum would like to empathize with you and feel sorry for you to have gone through this. But I just don't understand why you haven't replied to any of these comments till now. Please let us know if you are the kind of person who likes to throw a burning match stick in oil and stand there staring at it. What is your idea of putting it on QL? What are you looking for? Are you looking for a job? (If yes then PM me and one of my staff will call you for an interview as I'm the HR Manager in a firm). If you are looking for a visa, then you said that you do not even have a business visa then why do you worry about release??? If you are just wasting our time here and creating a mess talking about religion then you should apologize to everyone on this portal.
Without any answers from you we will never to get to know what's the truth and will not be able to help you. If, whatever you said is true then we can get these guys behind bars. So, please reply...
To all the QL members do not add any more comments unless we get gabriela to answer first.

SM
Just repeating the same below....
Gabriela's plight is bad and she has to report to who ever matters before she goes out of country.
But why did she have to do it the first time and even after that too no reporting. How can anyone tolerate to face the same guy after molestation and still hope for next day to be a better day. Normal human cant act like that way.
Back home the law is no females are allowed to be even asked to work in office after 20.00 Hrs. Any one even suggesting to a felame colleague or junior to stay after that time is against the law. Three things worth mentioning here.
1. Why did she have to attend meetings and conferrences etc till 22.00 hrs. No one should entertain that.
2. Is there no law for a time limit to work in this country especially for females.
3. Is work permit so essential in life that you ignore misbehaviour / molestation / sexual approaches. I do not think so.. Have your priorities sorted out and be SAFE.
As for deportation.. she will be and nothing can and nothing will happen to any local ever in entire Middle East.
..**.. ""They walk among us. They vote & they even reproduce"" ..**..
but from what I've noticed, most guys never quit trying even with a definite NO...
That mental scar takes dedication and therapy...not many ever recover completely from it, sad to say.
Rape has nothing to do much with sex. Like some already mentioned its power. By raping anyone leaves a permanent scar with the victim. Police / reporting needs to be done and should be done. But that scar cannot fade away.
Its good to know what you are teaching your boys. In male community it goes like this..
If she says NO - take it as maybe
If she says Maybe - take it as Yes & now the worst part
If she says alright - dont fool around. Just do it and dump her.
..**.. ""They walk among us. They vote & they even reproduce"" ..**..
wrong..at least there has been a change in our country for the better...won't say its where it should be yet, but they are still working on it. Everyone has the right to say no and have it respected...always taught my boys that no means no..and maybe means no...so don't go there.
I don't and probably won't ever understand why some females are deported and lashed after being raped. Or that some families stone their daughters to death for being raped and bringing disgrace to their family. That's beyond my comprehension....
All I know is that having worked with women and young girls who HAVE been raped, that its never a simple matter of "just going to the police/hospital and reporting it". Their minds have been raped as well. and its all a crime of violence....nothing sexual about it.
...it is TRUE,TRUE,TRUE?Hmmmmm. Then you was that time in the office too with her and saw all with your own eyes????
Come on,it might be true and it can also be a faked story.Nobody here can say it for sure.
*Create your own destiny, fighting against your dark sides, raise your

People who make laws (RAPE) are sick themselves. If a rape victim had loads of sexual enxounters in her past with 1000000 X "N" number of men or worst she is a prostitute.. what right does anyone has to rape her. By digging anyone's past is directly showing how immature and insecure a man is on this planet. He has no shame left in him. He has not even left raping minors and his own children.
Prostitutes do it for a different reason and they too have their self esteem which rape takes it away from her.
Rape is nothing to do the way anyone dresses.. or else there would be no rapes in this part of the world (it is altogether a different discussion why females are only deported and lashed even after a local resident has raped her).
..**.. ""They walk among us. They vote & they even reproduce"" ..**..
for me is was like reading a soft porn blog and WAY too detailed for my liking in the circumstances. A titilation of sorts - but who knows .... it's a forum and no-one knows Gabriela or how she may or may not react to what did or didn't happen. One can either take it at face value or as a wind up.
Naming names definitely meant there was an axe to grind.
Anyway if, as she said re Phil. Embassy: "They bought me a one way ticket home and cancelled my visa upon the directives of the Qatar Labor Law", then as DG said she is probably back home by now - in any event she hasn't posted for almost 24 hours since she put this thread up.
find the woman guilty until she could be proven innocent...just recently, within the last 25 years has that been the case in the US. In rape cases most women would choose NOT to prosecute because their past would be dug up and displayed for the jury. Not only that, but if she was wearing a short dress or hose or whatever else they attorney's could pull out of their hats to make her look like a slut so that their piece of dog poop for a defendent could go free...so he could go out and repeat the same vile crime over and over again. The rapists would do this repeatedly because they KNEW no woman would want to go through the humilation of a court trial where they'd be slandered as a loose woman or "asking for it" to happen. No woman does that. EVER.
Aissa..you are not a woman in Islam...you are a man. Ask an Islamic woman how much freedom she has to report such things. They get branded just as other women do...only more so. Its nothing against Islam..just the nature of certain beliefs...not that its bad or good. everyone talks about how much women are put on a pedestal here..well to that I say not everyone does...rapists certainly don't..they just see women as pieces of meat to do with as they wish. Rapists are criminals..plain and simple.
I choose to believe this woman's story and do not take it as a slam against Islam or being an Arab. It happens in all different cultures and isn't limited to any certain religion or culture.
I really dont think that the only action this person has taken after so called act is to write a very long and detailed post about being raped. I think we've been had people!
OMG! You've taken the first step by telling someone (us) about what those sickos did to you. For all those who are busy blaming her, you need to check yourselves. This is a woman who has been RAPED. RAPED! Can you imagine the emotional torture she is going through with every wagging finger you give her, putting herself through. Dont go saying this is her fault. Walk in her shoes, feel her pain, her humiliation...her dignity has been trampled on and all you can say is it is your fault you should have reported this to the police. That is just pathetic.
Gabriela, it is my hope that you find peace within yourself and make sure you do whatever it takes to not let what happened to you taint the rest of your life. There are other ways of making them pay aside from linking them to the crime via DNA. Lodge a formal complaint. Do all you can to alert as many as you can about these vile creatures, and when you have done that - rest. Because its a law of nature, what goes around comes around, they'll get whats coming to them.
I have to assure you that most of these stories are not gossips. Just look around anytime on the street and see a pretty woman, most of the men are gazing, honking or following her. Of course most of them would go further, doesn't matter whether they have families at home.

Truth: First and foremost you along with your friends or people you know or embassy should contact the rights organization/ Police Authorities and report the rapes. Also forum members are requested that those who are capable, should extend their full support to her. (If possible by contacting her through QL site)
Rape is the most inhuman crime against any women irrespective of religion. May Allah grant you justice and punish your tormentors.
Fiction: If it is fictitious story concocted by the perverted mind then this deserves outright condemnation as this creates disbelief and hatred among different section of people. Also people will be very much afraid to support or have sympathy for the true victims in future. Caste, creed and religion have got nothing to do with crimes committed. Are there no rapes or crimes being committed in Philippines?
In between: It is a known fact that not all crimes are reported to the police due to fear or lack of belief in the law. Also past experience shows that there are some stock stories about rape and other sexual crimes involving mostly Arabs and Pathans circulating in Doha. Nobody knows if these stories are true or false. All these stories have a common theme and only either location, nationality or timeline of the story changes. These stories may have been created as a result of pure gossiping or to defame a religion/Country.
All Lebanese are Arab and almost all of them are proud of this, and we are ,with our brothers and families (the Christians) 50% 50% with every thing even in politics, any way i totally agree with you about this confusing story, and i can not believe some are still 100% believe this story, i can understand that one is confused but not blindly trusting this person. and PLEASE KEEP ISLAM OUT OF THIS, if you know how much Islam gave the women their rights you would not say injustice and unfair and bla bla bla. one of the members said that she (Gabriela) had to go to work because she need money, well, let money go to hell if iam ganna risk my self respect and dignity . once again i ask, would she publish this here if she got the visa??!!
IF THE ADMINISTRATION WHO BLOCKED OUT THE NAMES DOESN'T REPORT THIS TO THE POLICE THEMSELVES, JUST TO HAVE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE MATTER, THEY ARE ACTING EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLY.
PLEASE HELP THIS WOMEN
SHE MAY OR MAY NOT BE TELLING THE TRUTH, BUT IT HAS TO BE LOOKED INTO REGARDLESS BEFORE IT HAPPENS TO ANOTHER WOMAN
Too many workers here have an inferiority complex with Arabs....even non-gulf arabs have it towards the Qataris. WHY??? Have some dignity and self respect and stand up for your rights!!! This isn't a country without laws. NO ONE is allowed to touch you let alone RAPE you!! Go to the police! NO THIS ISN'T ISLAM, ANYMORE THAN YOU LETTING IT HAPPEN TO YOU IS CHRISTIANITY!!!!! You let them have power over you then, but now it's YOUR turn to get the power back and GO TO THE POLICE N - O - W!!! They will be fully prosecuted if the story is true!! DON'T BE AFRAID. You will never forgive yourself if you don't tell the police NOW!!!
I had an instant opinion when I first read the post. Just hope, for her sake, these horrible, graphically described acts didn't happen to her.
Has anyone else been following the story about an English girl 'sexually intimidated' and raped by two men, at knife point, in Italy? It's been headlines for about the last 3 days in UK National Press and the journalists have been accused of being rather too graphic in their account of what happened to her. Unfortunately for the English girl the knife she was prodded with (in the neck) several times eventually went in too deep, and she bled to death.
Ooops someone at my door ....... just as well, so I can't continue!
about the Muslim name being drawn into this issue. The only thing that came to mind was that it IS a very male oriented world over here and she doesn't have much say in things. The religion per se isn't the issue...it was the men who did such vile acts against another person. THEY are the ones that are abhorrent in society's eyes, not Muslims. Rape can happen in any religion...and like I said..only issue here is the laws are quite a bit different for women and their recourse against a crime of rape..
probably flying back home now.:( no reply here and to all the PMs of concerned people.:(
GOD BLESS U STRENGTH & BLESS U JUSTICE & PUNISH THE EVIL
can't you believe for one minute that one person MIGHT not have had the nerve to go to the police after such an attack, but it would have been much easier for her to come on here anonymously and post...to perhaps lighten the load of this horror from her shoulders? And yes, she HAD to go to work the next day..that's her family's income..besides had she not, she probably would have lost her job anyway since those two men weren't going to let her stay and perhaps report what happened. Would you if you were in their souless shoes???
I know its looks like someone is having a bit of a prank at QL's expense but if there is one inkling of hope that it is a real story, and I'm going for that, then please let this person have some mercy and be kind instead of calling her a liar or worse..telling her its her fault. Remember....do unto others as you'd have them do unto you...(or your mother, sister or wife..as it could have possibly been any of us in her situation)
so where is the person who posted this topic?
Does anyone know her?
If somebod knows her then please confirm if the facts are true or not.
Otherwise it looks like QL is going to have one of its slam-bang game
I agree with you. if there's a problem there's a solution.
If your story is true, then I cannot but pray for your pain to heal. Yet I lost sleep last night over the questions I had in my head, when I read your dilemma, bear with me:
You seem to have a very good command, speak and write excellent English, as in your original article, so much for someone who is brought illegally without a business visa to Qatar. Or did you have a close friend write it for you in that incredible sequence and details?
Lebanese nationals barely call themselves Arabs and the majority of them are Christians. What Arabs and Islam are you exactly pleading against?
To go to the office the next day, is something I might understand, but to stay late with those "animals" AGAIN and ALONE, without fearing for your life, is way beyond my comprehension.
You subscribed your name with the Egyptian Group on QL, wouldn’t it have been much better to be part of your own nationals on QL? Maybe they might help you with ways to reach out for your embassy.
You talked about the unfair "Arab Justice", while you have not even made the effort to seek the Courts in pursuance of your solid basic rights. Justice will not recognize the crime committed against you until you have officially claimed your rights. Your embassy did give you the “real unfair” deal. And you should go to the papers back home to report the crime and the bigger crime committed by your embassy against you and humanity.
“[name removed by admin] told me that it is forbidden in Islam to have sexual relationship with Arabs, pertaining to what they did to me.” What’s Islam to do with Arabs? There are Muslims who are not Arabs and Arabs who are non-Muslims.
I am terribly confused with the incorrect details and awfully disturbed to say the least.
Please do not doubt, for less than a second, that I not only sympathize with victims of this hideous crime, but I’m congested with anger to leave such ANIMALS at large, to yet haunt another innocent soul.
because I believe that in every problem always be a part of a solution!!!
I salute you qatari. You just did the right move and you are just being balance eventhough you are an Arab...
[img_assist|nid=28861|title=believe and u will see...Life is as simple as we make it complicated|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=|height=0]
very much well expressed. well done girl :)
We can always say "you should have done this or you shouldn't have done that..." No matter what we do, we can never understand her position that time because we are not in her situation now so there is no sense of blaming her or whatsoever...
My impression why she posted this; is to seek justice, if anybody with a gold heart will make an effort to investigate about this (so as to help in any manner) and to serve as a lesson to every woman or to everybody so that we can avoid this awful incident.
"Is this what Islam is all about? Is the Arab Justice?", taken from her last words, she used a question mark. She did not directly accused Islam and Arab Justice rather she is asking everybody to justify this and we all know that it is irrational because she is just seeking our opinion to be on her side because she needs comfort.
Hey people, would you expect her to reply on her forum???
Of course not... or if she will, it will be like a circus in here and she will get busy answering all questions and have no time to think for her welfare.
Always remember, whatever we do GOD IS WATCHING US!!! I choose to believe in this incident and if this is just a whole lie then we reap what we all planted...
[img_assist|nid=28861|title=believe and u will see...Life is as simple as we make it complicated|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=|height=0]
I never said Qatari did a mistake, removing the name is a right choice but otherside one should not be allow to attack any Religion i mean ANY RELIGION ! so he should have removed the Religion also from the story.
We all like to have a peaceful environment here !!
Cheers
don't get me wrong by commenting that this "story" seems to be absurd the way I read it...explaining the whole thing graphically...the way the "rapist" move his hands from different parts of her body...from someone who has just gone to this...I don't think you still have the nerve to detailed them unless you are cross-interrogated in the court, because if you're in a state of "shock" you won't even tried to remember such horrible acts. And for the QL admin to delete or hide the details of concern individuals here, did he really done it? I've been a member (although not active) in this QL community but I haven't seen the QL admin done such thing (deleting) unless it was proven to be a troll.
I was sorry to hear such story but...the way it portrayed was fiction.
I'm afraid you are wrong. Qatari made the right choice in removing the names from the article. I enjoy reading Qatar Living, and if it's going to survive then the admins have to make responsible choices.
The allegations are serious, and have the ring of truth about them. But with only one source, Qatari is left with a potentially libellous story sat on his site. I would have made the same decision, no matter how much I believed the awful story.
For people who criticise the nationality/religion being left in the article: nations and religions can't sue, but individuals can.

Its not a question of getting emotional ... Hope you are not one of them who was crying in this thread,,,
Tomorrow someone comes and create a fake story that Non Muslim guy from XYZ Country raped him or her and ask All Non Mulsims (or any particular Non Muslim religion) IS THIS WHAT YOUR RELIGION IS FOR ? IS YOUR COUNTRY PEOPLE LIKE THIS ....
Talk something which makes sense !!
i agree with you.the story must be a fake.

Mum: Please honey dont go to next street.
Daughter: Why Mum?
Mum: There is a bad guy there, yesterday i went there he raped me, today i went there and he rape me too, tomorrow i will go there and he will also rape me!!!. this is a very sad story of our member here, but please members you can not believe all what written here, might be true, might be not
My point of view is that being a Mulsim and living in a Muslim Country such post should not be published ? If you have removed the name you should have remove the Religion also I think Religion is more important then the name ?
As you said "I am not making a judgment regarding the truth of the accusation"
Due to such stories (true or false) it's only giving negative impact on other regarding Islam and Arabs ...
To keep QL clean and running successful you should not allow to publish such stories/ articles.
Am sorry not to agree with you. Being keen on removing the names and leaving the title as is does not help much.
The title hurts a whole nation. A name hurts the person.
Sorry my friend, you missed this point.
Think she enjoyed it
Anyone care to explain to me why a woman who was raped by her boss would knowingly go back to work the next day?!? Gabriela, why didn't you go to the police and/or hospital after the first incident? Then you knowingly put yourself in the situation again and you get double-teamed. I'm not saying it's your fault or anything but one has to wonder.I call BS on this one. Entertaining read none the less.
Everyone is free to say what he thinks as far as he sais it in a normal maner.

Must report immediately if this is a true incident (which i doubt... very sorry to say this).
.
An old error is always more popular than a new truth.
who knows where she is now. she may be traveling back home already and didn't have the chance to read all the help that other people advised her what to do. the previous people are quite sensible to pity her, but the recent one don't seem to have pity at all. this is reality some people are kind and some people are naturally has no pity and quite disrespectful. :(
It's extremely sad and shocking to hear your account ma'm. I can understand your hesitation in not calling on the authorities in this matter till now. Having a child back home and your being here trying to earn your living in itself talks volumes about your situation. The mental trauma this incident would have caused you cannot be amended by saying thousand words of sympathy.
My advice to you(as others have mentioned above)is this - Now since something this grave has already happened, please don't think about the other dangers you might be exposed to in reporting this matter to the police immediately. The worst is behing you. Nobody can harm you more than what you have already suffered. Please go to the concerned police station and lodge a complaint immediately with the names and details of everyone involved in this heinous crime.I'am aware that most of us expatriates here have very little faith in the judiciary here but I'am sure it won't be that bad as not to take notice of a crime of such magnitude. Justice would definately be served.
May god give you the strenght to bear the agony of the mind and the pains of your tortured body.
Life is Beautiful...Indeed!
The names were removed because accusing someone of rape could be considered libelous and defamatory. The story is the same without revealing the persons name.
I am not making a judgment regarding the truth of the accusation.

Funny .... if you read all the replies i see most people were crying (by their replies you can make it out) someone said "My fingures are shivering while i am typing... i am speechless"
it's ok to have Symphaty but PLEASE find the fact or the reality of the story firt then jump in the gorund !!
For sure it is a Fabricated story to Spoil the Image of Muslims and Abrabs thas all.
And QL admin never removes any name '[name removed by admin]'

Yes but not all of them got deported right after either SwissGirl. I'm not surprised she posted at all, it's something I would probably do after the shock wore off, if going to the police was no longer an option.

Her or His story does not give a clear picture, 1st point to be noted this is not FILIPINA ENGLISH, 2nd She or He is attacking Arabs (Labanese and Egyptians in particular) and linking Islam !! please read her story and see her wordings which cleary shows this is a FAKE !
read her last para:
"told me that it is forbidden in Islam to have sexual relationship with Arabs, pertaining to what they did to me. I was devastated, they raped me and it turned out to be my fault? Is this what Islam is all about? Is the Arab Justice?"
QL comments now ? This is what I strongly feel REST AL MIGHTY ALLAH KNOWS the reality. I have not seen her single reply or if anyone has received Her or His PM can share.
That deosnt mean that all Lebanese are heartless, and dont fear god, ok???? God its just so stupid to say such things.... its like saying oh this driver is stupid thus all who drive are stupid too....

i dont know why i can not believe this, and im really sorry if im hurting somebody and i really want to hear that she really went to police, but i dont think that she will, come guys any one heard before that a girl raped twice from the same guy within 2 days. we shouldnt just let our feeling speak. another question would she publish this if she got the job (assuming its true story)
very detailed story for a complaint....I wonder if she wants to enjoy our comments !!!!
Swissgirl _ she has gone to Swissland:)
IF the story is true, she MUST raport it and not discust it here in the Forum, because that will not help her in any way.But i am wondering where she is now.She opened that tread and till then she is disappeared. Not one single word from her.Hmmmm.Makes me think a lot.

This seems to be a propaganda about Islam and Arabs, I don't think any respectful woman will write her story like this in the open forum:-
"They then forced me against the wall and start to remove my clothes. reeking from [name removed by admin] cigarette stench. [name removed by admin] and [name removed by admin] takes turns in mashing my privates parts. from my breast, buttocks and all they want, they were like crazed maniacs laughing while they forced themselves into me. They forced me into the floor and forced themselves into me."
Gabriela or WHOEVER you are, don't blame any religion or nationality. If your story is true please go to Police no the QL !!
--- A man is known by the Company he keeps ---
Report them to Central Security Division. They will be in for a long time. They will face the same fate in the Prison
this is by no way related to Islam.
What they did is wrong.
Report them. Stand up! They're Scum and they shouldn't be in Qatar

Hey people, what happened only related to this girl & that man, we are all sorry for her, this is the limitation of the case , please stop change the case to make it Arab & Pilipino.... or Arab & others....
I see some members her found a chance to start make bad general idea about the Arab, We know all nationality over the world have the bad & good.
Only i have this question to that poor girl, assume you still on you work & u got a visa, will you write your forum topic?
I don't mean any bad thing about you but in my opinion you share in what happened .....
You didn't go Police & u didn't give Qatar Police "which they are Arab" a chance to punish these people, so please all, don't involve the all Arab in what happened
A lot of stories like this in Qatar & with non Arab

Thank you for that.
not all Philippina are like that! come on! I know some who dressed sexy but decent one. :) okay got to go. will be back soon.
I am truly sorry that this has happened to you. How very devastating. I am very angry that these guys got away with this. They will probably be looking for their next victim. For them to even mention the word Islam is a complete joke. It also sounds like the Philippines Embassy were worse than useless.
It is my understanding that you are back in the Philippines. I have no idea what you can do from there. You should find out. I'm not the first in this thread to say that you should have gone to the hospital the first time where they could have collected eveidence for the police. Of course hindsight is everything. In the moment of a horrific incident like that it is difficult to think straight.
I truly hope you can go forward from this horrific event. Explore what you can do from the Philippinnes and what you can do from here. The Embassy should be able to advise you on this. If not a local lawyer could.
I don't imagine you wish to come back to Qatar. But try to do something which will at least serve as a warning to the worthless men who perpetrated this violent act, if it is too late to prosecute.
My sincere sympathies. ______________________________________________________

both ways, one should NOT generalize the acts of one...lebanese can't be all like this, Arabs as well...Filipinas are not like, oh you all know what i mean...just avoid generalizing..and look at us individualy..

King Edshel I don't know if what you said is true but I know myself that most of you guys are like this..
I can't see any problem in a Filipina getting a bf from other nationalities and you were right because you said: 'bfs'. I never believed or trusted any Guy or Girl with multiple relations. What is the purpose of such relations? Only god knows ... It depends on what do you want from this relation ... the good and the bad is not associated with a certain nationality and these roles runs for all human beings. Generalizing is just unfair, you can't say that all are bad because of few that you met or because of having bad experience with some people.
I have a lot of Filipino friends and all are nice, but it happened that i met some who did not accept me because I'm a none Filipino and were rude to me with no reason while they did not give themselves and give me the chance to know each other like the others did. I can't blame them because of what they are hearing about Arab guys [my Filipino friends telling me that i look like Luke Mejares, hope that would help :)] but the same thing again. There is no one who can be completely Good or Bad ...

Is that because we are only Filipinas that's why they are treating Pinays this way? I know for a fact that there are Filipinas who ruin our image getting foreigner bfs here and there and asking for thi and for that..but not all Filipinas are like that.
We are not prostitutes or sluts that can be paid after you abuse us. We are still humans and we have feelings..Please do not treat as like animals.
nothing buddy ... This is the say of the sick minded people only. I don't think that if i would go to the Philippines that you would be having issues with me right? This earth ... This land ... This Universe ... and all of these countries around the world belongs to god and not to us human so we can say such things.
We are all humans and there is no black or white ... eastern or western ... Arab and none-Arab it is just that people would never ever learn until god put them all to be judged by him on the judgment day ... There is no such a concept in our religion, god says all of you are equal ... the only difference is in the Good Deeds that you do in your life.

My sympathy to you..this is bad and I feel bad too. You should not let this happened twice, but it hurts when one of the rapist said that there is no room for filipinas in an Arab World? How come they have Filipina girlfriends? and some of these Filipinas are stupid to believe that these guys will propose marriage to them. I really hate this and Philippine embassy is no use, belive me they are useless..
Is there anything I can do for you? I really feel bad about this matter, can you pm me pls..

Gabriela, I am extremely sorry for you. I pray for you. I just wan't to say please don't blame yourself for whatever has happened. If this is what stopped you from going to police, I would reiterate, you are not to be blamed. I pray, God gives you the strength to get over it.
you are publishing this coz you didnt got the job? If this a true story, they should be punished to max. but why u stayed silent for days, i mean u said yes coz u need job!!??, come on, we are not in jungle, you should report them immediately and put them in jail, dont you have friends to advice you at that time if u were confused, we directly blame Arabs and Islam, look further more and see others what are really doing, i mean if u dont like Islam and Arabs just leave their country, no thing is more important then self respect and dignity, right?
i advice you to report them, its never too late, but be careful they will ask you why you wait till now
Please you can try to contact Human Rights "[email protected]"

As an Arabian , I feel ashamed when I know my people doing like this, but that only related to their behavior , no even one realign instruct human to do that.... but I am sure they will be hardly punished from Allah .. "Allah may be delay punishment but never ignore or forget"
You are not a woman and have not idea how a woman can feel, you have no idea how and injustice can be carried with you all your life, and most of all you have no idea that when you do confront perptrators how they laugh it off until it gets to the ears of their families.
These are facts and no one believes that a man married with 3 kids molested his sister/or whoever and gets off with his who life until one day it comes out.
There is no justice for these crimes - there is still no right for woman who bear the scars of this under whatever name it is carried out. The women have to carry on with their daily life as if nothing had happened - you are a man so you will never ever in your life understand this.
There is no healing it stays with you all you live, it is something like dirt which can never be washed off, because every so often it pops up in your mind and that a whole life long. Don't talk ever about healing it never comes around.
Of course, going to the hospital immediately would have been best. It would have resulted in the gathering of irrefutable evidence and her emotional state at the time just after the assault could be witnessed by others. But that is water under the bridge. Perhaps others will learn from this thread should (God forbid) it ever happens to them.
And I agree that in this case the perpetrators may go free. I'm not saying that they WON'T do it again; I'm saying that the only reason to take them to court is TO PREVENT/RESTRICT them from doing it again.
What's happened has happened. Even if these guys get beheaded, G will still need to find the personal healing she needs; that sort of healing never comes from the criminal justice system--it only comes from listening ears and the care and love of a supportive family and community. Can she get that here?

This would be like saying all Scottish are drunks, can't be and you are wrong to write such apost.

Nothing we can say will ever undo the horrible thing done to you....but please know that you are not alone in wanting to see justice prevail...you have our support, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Stay safe.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
My sympathies to you... Be Blessed the weak, in this cruelsome world

You are wrong, her biggest mistake is that she did not go directly to the hospital, the hospital would hav in turn informed the police and they would have found evidence.
Unfortunately some Philippinas have a reputation and to protect the name of one would be extremely difficult. Some things just wont heal until justice is done.
You think there will be fewer cases, no they got away with it this time and they will get away with it again, is this justice for a woman no not at all. They try this at any agae and with any woman and not until they fall can something like this be recitfied.
Nothing you can say can heal the mind of this woman she posted that post because she wants justice.
this saddens me deeply and being as well a filipino, im disappointed with some of people here of how they are treating US..of how they look upon us like this...(made my fingers shaking while typing)...
my kabayan, my only advise to you is go home and from our country you can file a complaint against these people..(i dont know either how this thing works, but seek assistance from our country)...dont know how to uplift your morals with what happened...pray for more strength to endure the pain (emotional/physical) that this cause you..
im speechless and i really dont know how to send my words properly to you..
Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.
I agree with Scarlet about how hard it will be for her. She needs both personal and emotional healing. The rest of us want justice. But what kind of justice can there be? Certainly none for her--nothing can give her back what she had before this whole ordeal began. The best case is that there will be fewer victims for these evil men in the future. Maybe they will be punished and punished severely, but will that be enough for G?
Only healing will help her and in my experience--even in western legal systems--restorative justice is never really practiced. The victim is forgotten about--called to testify under the most brutal and insensitive of cross-examinations (I've been with women as they had their day in court--I've seen it).
Now combine this with Qatar, where I'm sceptical that a woman or an expat (let alone an expat woman) can ever get a fair hearing, and a country where G may not even have a strong caring support network, and I'm just afraid that she'll be victimized again by the legal system.
We should all be careful before we ask her to become the poster girl for workplace sexual assault--is she up to this? That said, if I could castrate these guys without anyone knowing it was me, I would.
Unfortunately, she should have gone straight to the hospital and then had the hospital call the police, otherwise there was no evidence. Rape leaves evidence such as blood and torn skin in the genitals the traces are easy to identify. If she had done this her case would be easy.
Although your story is sad and you think you have no rights, the Philippino community is very strong here , and no one would blame you for going to the police or the embassy.
However, you are to blame - you should have taken this up with the police or a lawyer and a least the Embassy/Consulate. This might and will definately happen to other girls being employed by that same employer, you opened a door for this to continue.
It is in you interest to claim justice, go to the police or even have a report issued through the embassy claiming the names and the name of the company otherwise you will have suffered in vain.
Go and fight for your rights I am sure there is someone who will help you, if you don't you have just opened a door to all others to do the same to any poor immigrant into the country.
wizmotr
I hope that your soul is deemed for hell, how dare you put such a post to a girl who has been injustified, do you think God will forget what you wrote. Poor and helpless people have to be protected from people like you and may you bathe in your comment, how dare you try to console a woman with your preaching. HOW DARE YOU!!!!! THIS IS THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS THING I HAVE READ HERE TO DATE!!!!!!
Go out and fight for your rights and I am sure someone will listen, be sure you are not the first one and will not be the last one, but at least make an effort to help those who come behind you.
She claim that she have reported to Philippines Embassy, that she have been raped by her employers & they do nothing about this ? Not even a police report or medical examination ?
This really reflect badly on the Embassy & it is unbelieveable that they are so unprofessional.
Oh heck! Im so sorry for you "kabayan" Well its the ironic of life..Not Islam (for sure) nor the Arab LAw..Dont lose hope dear... Insha Allah you'll have your justice..I hope it will serve as lesson to all kabayan to be more vigilant,..Its not the end of the world if you'll lose one job.. There's a lot more..Don be corrupted by false promises...At least if you cant find a job,you could always come back home with your dignity..I really feel bad about you kabayan" I hope somebody out there could help you...
This sounds like a another script from Hollywood......
I just don't know what tosay...:(
I'll pray for you...
You can't teach experience...
this is really outrageous... if u need any help from any of your kababayans here, feel free to ask... im sure everyone is willing to help u in any way...
now it's your time to make their lives miserable... u have to fight for it... whatever it takes... like what they said, report it to the authority... don't let them get away from this...
I read your story and i feel very bad of what happen to you. Why u didnt report him in the very beggining? If u tell somebody am sure it will not happen twice. Why u scared to tell somebody? We have a law and we have human rights. I understand that you get scared that you might lost your job but its not good that u keep quite just to keep ur job and u know that u suffer yourself. Think of yourself and your family., is not end of the world that you lost the job! A lot of company that u can apply. Im sorry to say this things im so affected of what happen to u. Go to philippine embassy and ask for assistance, before it happen to other people again. I hope u will tell us what is ur status now.
Im a filipino pilot.,
My deepest apologies that a Lebanese, one of my countrymen, committed such an atrocious crime, I can't explain how ashamed I feel right now. I hope u'll be able to recover both physically and mentally, and lead a normal healthy life, for no woman deserves to live in years of emotional torture because of the act of two bastards (sorry for the language). I hope u report it asap and justice is served.
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield

you try your flex on me...ha ha !
For those who have their loved ones working here. do be careful. Please try to seek help. I think most have been said here. Those B#$tards will get what they deserve. You are brave enough to post here....very proud of your first step...you need to seek further help...
I TRULY AGREE WITH EVERYBODY WHO REPLIED U ON UR TOPIC PROVIDED REAL NICE SUGGESTIONS.MY SINCER SYMPATHIES TO YOU,
I am so sorry to read that. My sincere sympathies with you. Islam, as a religion, TOTALLY prohibits out of wedlock sex and they are just criminals.
I must emphasize that you're a little late now. So first seek some help from Human Rights commission or some independent journalists. They will really help you fight your case in a right manner.
May ALLAH help you.
Gabriela... such a nice choice of "name"... it depects courage (to those who knew Gabriela Silang)... very fitting to your act, a very courageous act. So, listen to the QLr's, stand up and continue your fight against your oppressors, for justice and for all the women out there, that they may never suffer the pains you've gone through
Yes, they are right, you really have to go to the Police and report it. These bastards must be put in jale, for your's sake, and for other women's sake, with whom the same can happen and most probably will. It's a horrible thing that happened with you, and don't even think for one minute that it's your mistake. These people (and unfortunately much more) are mindless crazy monsters, so they deserve to get punishment. Please do it, and keep us informed what happened! I wish you good luck with everything!

Scum like these have a very special spot in hell. Go to the nearest police station, u have nothing to lose at all, report it, and they will do the rest. It is difficult i am sure so go with a friend to support you, and be very very truthful and inshallah those bad excuses for human beings will be thrown into prison and then deported. Its not ur fault at all, some people don't even have the courage to say a word about it, what you did is very courageous and u should go on with it to stop people like that.

never trust them. they are all corrupt and heartless. if you don't have money. they are not doing their job at all.
these perperators should be punished, together with those useless officials in the embassy. It is very frustrating that they not even lift a finger to help a distresed countryman
to treysdad post, it's in the same building where Qatar tribune located at.

take a friend with you and go to the police...I kow you should have gone after the first incident but that's over and done..the second, well again...but do it NOW...
For you guys that think its so easy to just go report a rape, it isn't..not even in the countries where women HAVE rights against rape and molestation. Its a crime of violence..AND it violates your body..which is the worst part..its not only physical, its mental. Add to that fact she basically has her word against 2 men who have no conscience in the first place and treat her worse than an animal..much les give her 10 riyals...its no wonder she didn't go to the police.
Having dealt with women who were raped back in the states....we were lucky enough to have a hotline for reporting...but going in person to the police station, then to the hospital for the rape kits to be done..all the while feeling violated even more..not allowed to take a shower and wash the filth off your body because youare washing away evidence...you men can't imagine the horror and self loathing these women go through. Thinking all the time that perhaps if they hadn't done...whatever...that it wouldn't have happened...not as simple as you think...animal like that don't deserve to be on the face of this earth.
I hope for your sake Gabriela that justice can be served and that these two filthy creatures spend the rest of their lives in jail...you have my thoughts and prayers with you, sweetie...please take some of the good advice these people are offering you and NEVER, and I mean NEVER think it was your fault...because you ALWAYS have the right to say no...even if you have to kick, bite and scream to do it..take a piece of body part with you and that way there is no mistaking that he was the agressor..
treysdad it is well know that these guys dont even answer the phone!
there have even been articles in gulf times.
if anyone is a lawyer and can offer firm advice please pm her.
otherwise she may only be potracting her misery by staying if nothing can be done.
I think you should raise your case to the NHRC Qatar...

I am sorry that our own embassy cannot fight for your rights.... my heart bleeds for you..
And Jass forget about gettin raped I have kicked out ppl who have just tried to act smart and I had no visa, no home, no money.
With that 10 riyals ( those riyals had his finger print) she should have gone to Police, I am upset those filthy pigs will stay in this country and will repeat their acts
u should have reported and not posted up such a grahpic testimony on a public forum to bunch of unknown people.
maybe you should go home - i dont' know what you could do make things right.
it is difficult esp if a non-muslim woman goes up against muslim men... well thats my experience.
When u get home post up their bloody photos....it is difficult to report now.
I was really shocked reading this story :( I don' know really what to say because you let me speechless. The crime of those two is really unforgivable and they should be punished that the others would think thousands, millions of times before not even touching but think of but looking at those poor ladies :(
I'm not in a position to blame you for what happened, but you should had reported them from the first incident. They understood from you coming to the office like nothing happened that you would be always afraid to say anything or report them which gave them a reason to go further. Those two who are not human and are less than animals [sorry for that].
The raping experience is the worst ever experience that a woman can had in her life. it simply destroy your life and you need a lot to stand on your feet again or forget it :( Wish if I was just in my country, I would've taken my M-16 from there and shot those two like dogs [sorry again but my blood is boiling :(]
I'm asking god to revenge you and let you see those two suffering until the last day of their lives for what they did. I'm sorry sister but nothing can be done ... Check with your embassy and see what can they do .
Goodnight everyone :(

do u think its easy for her to go back to her country .
if it easy to her to live in her country so why she came her sure to support her family same as all of us,
so please try to give her more courage
and try to find a way to help her
[img_assist|nid=30553|title=Twin|desc=happeness comes only once dont miss it|link=none|align=left|width=440|height=368]
But according to Sharia law the testimony of a woman is only half as important as that of a man. The fact that two men will say that you weren't raped (or that you tried to seduce them) to your single voice means that you are outvoted 4-1! It isn't fair! It isn't justice! It isn't what God intended! But it is what Islamic law says.
I'm not sure that protesting to the police or courts will get you anything but more pain. I'd suggest leaving the country ASAP, go home, hug your child, fall into the loving embrace of your family and friends and get on with life. Then if you feel so inclined, contact a lawyer here who can represent you without you being in the country and subject to further arrest, embarrassment or humiliation.
dont blame her she already suffering of that crazy people and we have to be in her side.
give her more courage and dont let her feel more fed up
allah will take ur right from that people .

wow some of you people here just have never read enough books or you dont have a lick of common since...
if some one is scared and being abused/rapped/harrased and doesnt report it how in the heck is it there own fault...
you guys are killing me slowly with this type of narrow mindedness...
i have seen it for the last few days over a few issues like this... why? what makes you think that any one other than the assailant is at fault?
_____________________________________________________________________
just hanging out and watching dvd's with helen keller... kind of a quite night.
It is never the victims fault, and how dare you say such an insensitive thing. She s going through enough trauma and does not need more attacks and blame put on her.
tra la la
Eco-savvy are u for real? she's to blame? yes, she made a mistake not to report it first time, she got scared, you don't probably understand, how it takes to admit and come out open when you had been raped because you are not a woman. But for you to say those to her is unacceptable, you wouldn't want to give her sympathy fine but at least understand that in this part of the world its not easy especially if she's alone here, no families, worrying of losing a job that could help her feed her child.
Cheers!

even after all this why u didnt go to police station, I dont understand how can you breathe when those perverts are free, even 10 yr child would knw how to report
No man is above the law and no man below it.
I am so sorry for what happened to you dear, Allah will punish him and I'm sure that you are not the only one that has been raped by this Animals, hope they will get for what they are doing,,,
So sorry miss!
In western countries the law allows a woman to seek justice for these crimes many years after they have happened.Remember you may not be the only victim..... and any other woman out there having experienced this - save the evidence and go to the police immediately!
You go girl!
u just put urself and the ppl in trouble by being too late abt the issue..
allah will justice and eveyone will know the truth.

Tried to go ... does not mean she has gone ????????????
If you can't change your fate, change your attitude.
if you see she has already gone to the embassy.
" I tried to go to the Philippine embassy but all they can do was to asked me for them to just give me a proper release document. They bought me a one way ticket home and cancelled my visa upon the directives of the Qatar Labor Law."
.................
First go to the embassy they will take u to the police and then police will take u to the doctor ... thats how its done here
If you can't change your fate, change your attitude.
I'm so sorry about what happened to you, no one should have to go through this.
First try to get to a doctor, you may need to be checked to make sure that you did not contract any STD's. Tell the doctors you were raped as there are special procedures for this. Then go to the police and tell them what happened, and your embassy.
Try to bring along a friend to support you in this. These men need to e locked up, or they will do it again and again.
My thoughts are with you.

remeber if this your real name you could be in further trouble for
maybe putting down the actual names of the perpetrators f it ever got out of hand.
well why dont you go to police now and report them. you are no longer an employee of that firm too. simple the police will get a medical test and it will be positive. Sorry about that. And plz dont bring Religion in this or Justice. its you who is hidding not reporting them,
[img_assist|nid=21285|title=.|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=|height=0]
you should have reported the matter immediately to the police instead of waiting for more harassment.
NOw you are in a no-mans land.
If you can prove that this has haapened go immediately to CApital Security and report the matter.
Religion/regionalism has nothing to with these kind of perverts.
