Real or fake .. ?

Do you people beleive that the contests/promotions held in Qatar are legitimate and real, or just fake? ...these so called promotions, where they give out coupons, because i have been to a couple of them, and the winner is never there...and is always a qatari...is this really a concindence... i mean recently the competition is subway where they gave out 3 porches ..the competition in FFC where they gave out land cruisers ...and then another where they gave out lexsus... i think that they mite be cheating....because the part where a child picks up a coupon is legitimate, but the name that they say ..the person never seems to be there...and always has a qatari name...Concidence ?!? i would really like to know what you guys think ...

I doubt it...

yeah, like yemenis, iranians, sometimes egyptians... they are wearing local attire but they are not locals...

I'm fond of some locals here at the office wearing office attire and not thobs (sorry for the spelling)...

Wrong thread chevy.....

If you see more locals winning it's probably because they make bigger purchases and get more coupons in. Besides not every Muslim name means they are a local. I think these draws are pretty fair.

"Anyone who wear local dress is not a local"

That's an interesting one... I wonder how many guys dress up in local gear just to get the extra respect and deference that goes with it. These guys may be getting Qataris a bad name with bad behaviour?

genereally you dont find locals working as real estate agents here. Anyone who wear the local dress is not a local.

That case is from your opinion don't generalize, and we did not hear the other guys point of view, so he might be the agent who got you the villa, back in your home country am sure you are familiar with real estate agents they too take some commission for their services of finding you a home to rent right?

You are most welcome to leave Qatar and go back to your homeland... Every in their own homeland do this ...and so as the local Qataris here but atleast they are respectful in many ways ....think over it and get life out there ...Dude

If there's a way a local can bribe those in charge of these promotions, you can bet they will. Don't trust ANYONE in the country, regardless of nationality......when it comes to money, they will screw you any chance they get.

Case in point --- I've got an Arab local trying to screw me out of half a months rent right now. He's a real estate agent and he thinks I'm stupid enough to write him an additional check for his "services" ....which consisted of him handing me the lease to sign for my villa.

I've been told since the minute I got here to NEVER trust the locals, no matter how convincing or nice they seem. Qataris and other gulf locals can't be trusted at all. I'm not being racist...I'm simply telling you what was told to me by people that have lived here for several yrs. What this guy is trying to do to me is just a personal case in point.....shameful....

but i have this feeling .. you mite be rite..but are there any checks and balances ..? or is it just up to the management? Because there is a draw tommorow in Mega mart..guess what there was no timing written on the coupons..so i went and asked the mgt ..they were like its tommorow at 9am...as for the cars they are still in the showrooms...and we'll pay for em once someone wins... really?

It's not mandatory to be there & be present during the draw date... thats why your mobile/telephone number is required upon filling up the coupons.
