Hi I'm new * waves*
my kids and I are moving out to qatar ( school places allowing) in july and I was wondering if there is anything we should know or be aware of before we come?

I'm still trying to secure palces for the kids but will keep trying. My husband will be staying in England as he has a teaching job over here so we'll be flying solo for a while at least
I'd reccomend bringing as many teacher resource books and things with you as you can. There is fairly limited supplies here, but most schools are very well equiped. Somthing from home would be good too, as no doubt there will be some kind of 'international day' where you'll have to be all english for the day!! :-)
You will need normal summer clothes which is not a big issue as you can also buy it from here. What might be a big problem for you is to get a school for your kids. All the schools are normally fully booked. If you are going to work for one of the schools, you might get place for them there. depends on what school it is.
is terrible), I think you can endure the weather and you and your kids will have a wonderful time here. Will you work here? or your husband is taking you in?
Where are you coming from, Leigh? That will give us an idea of what there is where you are. Someone from the States versus someone from the UK might be used to different things.
