Restricting employees from joiningcompetitor

What Qatar Labour Law says about employees joining in a competitor company. Does the previous employer has the right to stop him atleast for a period of 2 years. Is there any problem; if company asks the employee, to write an undertaking that, he will not join any competitor company for 2 yr period?

we need to give him a release we cannot restrict him doing a job in qatar. My view is I need to release him with competitor restrcitions.
Whats your view on this.
you dont give him release. there is option for the same
