Say No to HATE filled topics

You all must have noticed a very ugly pattern in the recent days, taking QL into its nasty grip - hate-filled articles! Hatred is spreading its wings very fast on this network in the form of various articles dealing with global, social and religious issues. The sole intention behind writing/submitting any thread on a public platform is to generate a response from the participants and members so as to discuss the problem and arrive at a consensus through meaningful debate.
Ironically, majority of the posts in QL, always die without giving the message and without earning a good participation from members, because these articles are filled with hatred. Instead of presenting a critical view of the author (regarding any issue), the articles highlight the like/dislike of that author towards that particular issue. Be it a post on religious issue or a genuine social problem, the stance of the author carries so much of hatred that the comments are either full with anti-statements for the author... or worse.

Moreover, even if an author succeeds in getting some participants on his debate, he gets so much disturbed by comments going against his views that he starts using languages to prove his point. Whoever takes a different view is termed as ‘illiterate’, ‘uneducated’, ‘fool’, ‘insane’, ‘dumb’ etc. Because the author is so much pre-occupied with his own mental supremacy that he out rightly rejects the views of anyone who does not support his ideology. Instead of proving his point by rational debate, the author starts the dumb game of bluntly rejecting the views which go against him.

All these are giving moderators a hard time deleting all these unwanted posts. Can’t we just say NO to hatred? We cannot solve those social/religious/global problems, at least we’ll be satisfied that we have succeeded in spreading love among the community members. Please say ‘NO’ to hate-filled posts. Please save QL from becoming one of those hate-sites.

It only brings out the best of their own stupidity and wrong comprehension of reading for their own 'community'.

IMHO, discussions about anything under the sun are always educational & enlightening if done on a mental level. the thing is, some QLers used their emotions instead.

I'm just sick of people with no respect or consideration for others. Everyone thinks they're right and try to impose their beliefs and ideas on others. Being rude and inconsiderate has become a trend on QL.

With some very bitter, belligerent people, taking over and writing the same crap over and over again, sometimes their comments are not even relating to the thread, then attacking anyone else’s point of view who begged to differ, untill it became a stupid mud slinging match.

I dont want to read or contribute to that kind of destuctive rubbish.

There are healthy ways of debating....thats what people should learn.

You dont agree with my topic, that absolutely fine with me. I am not insiting you to say that what I said is 100% right....rather ONLY I AM RIGHT and others are wrong. But uunfortunately thats what we see here from some people.

but its all the hatred that makes it a little spicy to read the post isnt it ? I mean..most of them wudnt bat an eyelid if it was all lovy dovy and haramony filled. A little bit of hate here,a little bit of swearing there, a touch of exclamation marks, makes the post all the more readable.

FS, can't agree with you fully. If a society wants to discuss a genuine issue, it shouldn't be stopped. You can't expect all posts to be just nice and cute to suit all.If thats the case then what is the difference between the so called free media existing in Qatar (including Al Jazeera, which is too pre-occupied with things around the world, but not Qatar) and QL.QL happens to be the most free media-forum in Qatar. Ofcourse the authors should not go around bashing others, but be willing to listen to other view points as well..and should avoid indecent comments.

We can post our views in a controversial topic in a nice way. There are people in QL who already do it in a nice manner.

But there are few people who just come in and trash people and it looks like they enjoy doing that.

People who post certain forums know what they are doing.

I love it when people say, "Sorry, but no offense." The posters knowingly post controversial subjects and should; therefore, be able to handle the rebutal.

Grow thicker skin, people!

If you have the guts enough to post a controversial topic, then be gutsy enough to receive the replies.
