School volunteers off to Indonesia
A TEAM of student volunteers and teachers from eight schools in Qatar left Doha last night for Java, Indonesia, on a mission organised by Reach Out To Asia (Rota).
During the week-long trip, the volunteers will help with the final preparations of Bayat School - a combined primary and senior school being constructed by Rota following the extensive damage caused by an earthquake in May 2006. The school, being built in Bayat Klaten, 30km south of Jogjakarta, will have 960 students.
