Sealine Beach resort is a disgusting hole

Gypsy
By Gypsy

So I just came back from what was supposed to be a lovely evening at Sealine, however, for our 900QR, rather then a lovely time we got:

1) At least 10 cockroaches that crawled out of an adapter

2) No water in our bathroom

3) Dried blood on a cushion

4) had to pay 10QR for ice

5) rancid bacon at breakfast

Not only that but the place seems to just be a spot for young  Qatari boys to go and party.  They were running screaming up and down the halls all night and getting wasted below our window.  The beach was  a disgusting mess the next morning and actually just difficult to walk down for the garbage.

Personally I think this place should be shut down by the health inspector, I don't know how they are still operating.

DISGUSTING!

Well we threw out the adapter after JonB had a field day stamping on the bugs.

Lime - I agree with you 100%,  There is no way I could have spent the night - I would be imagining creepy crawlies moving all over the room in the dark.  I would have been annoyed by the loud partying, seriously angry about the lack of water but the bugs - that would have had me checking out and driving home in a hurry.

well said. it sounds exactly like the time i've been there 5 year ago. I'm surprised it's part of CNH. You should've brought your own food

I don't blame you. Me, I could not have waited until the moring, I would have left through the night. I'm very picky and have been know to move rooms 3 times before I'm happy, lol.

Well it was a nice little getaway for two Lima.  We didn't even wait for the checkout time today, we just left.

Did I say it was JUST Qatari's, I said it seemed to be a spot of young Qatari boys to go and get drunk.

Did you check with UV as they do in some forensic TV Drama? or did you do a DNA Analysis to say that it is blood?

Anyways its not only Qataris many arabs also go there. A minority of Asians also go there.

There's another one up to the north of the country.  It used to advertise on here....I hear it's nicer.  Otherwise, the Intercon actually has a lovely beach and pool, forget the drive and stay in Doha.

Thanks Gypsy.  My husband and I have been talking about taking our family there for a weekend.  YUK!!!!!!!   The dried blood and cockroaches did it for me.  Can you suggest an alterntive???

Ya, I'm sure they were Qatari's.

The day is nice as long as you stay at the pool.  Don't eat there and don't stay there.

Have gone there twice never stayed over. Both times were a nice get away. Got there(the pool) for about 9:30 and stayed until about 2:00. Started to fill up at about 1:00. Pool was nice for the kids, beach was enjoyed, and back home to relax....a good day out with the family.

I believe 50QR per adult.

When you say "leave it to the locals". I am sure that many of the locals wouldn't dream of going there or putting up with bad behaviour.

Maybe some of the younger ones use it but are they all really Qatari?

Well then maybe it's time that someone gave a call to the Health Authority, or the MOI

It could be beautiful.  Unfortunately it seems like they've decided to take up the "niche market" left behind by the Oasis.

I wish I was so rich that I could buy that place, or even land nearby!  I'd make such a beautiful area *cries*
