Hi all,

Just want to share with you my recent experience with QP(Qatar Petroleum).

I have just retuned from my 3 days trip to Doha for site interview with QP. I must admit, I was impressed with the whole process that QP carried out during my site interview. From airport pick up until the driver dropped me off back o the airport, the process was seamless and efficient. My 1st day, I did medical check which lasted only 2 hours. Then I headed to QP for HR interview, it was more like information session rather than interview! My second day, I had the technical interview, it was more like making sure I was the guy they talked to on phone during phone interview. It lasted about 2 hours, they were impressed and told me if I could start yesterday!

I am now waiting for my offer ☺ , I am excited and looking forward to moving to Qatar. I have worked in Saudi before but I think Qatar looks much better place to live! not sure about cost of living though it seems very high!

Update

Hi folks, a quick update from my end, if you still remember my original post back 2 months ago.

Well, I got the offer from QP and have just resigned from my current company! Inshallah planning to be in Qatar beginning of June. I am looking forward to living in Qatar, the process has been long and it requires a lot of patient, for the benefit of others, below is my time line:

A. Applied for Job, Oct 2014

B. Telephone Interview, Dec 2014

C. Site Interview, Feb 2015

D. Job Offer, Mar 2015

E. Visa, April 2015 (took only 2 weeks!)

F. Mobilization, June 2015.

Thanks everyone for sharing info on Qatar and I am very exited to join in you all in Qatar ☺

Hi there! I am pretty sure, the way you expressed the whole process of your interview, you will get this position. Undoubtedly, the living cost is way to high in comparison to Saudi, yet I would say that much better life style from Saudi.... I have been in Saudi and I literally RAN...!!!Any ways.... Welcome to Qatar....!!! stay in touch...
