Sharm El Sheikh vs. Hurghada
Heya there, Egyptian fellows and experienced travelers..
While choosing between Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, what are Pros and Cons of each of them?
What’s the difference in vacation style?…
what type of travelers are heading Sharm El Sheikh and what type of travelers are heading Hurghada?
What are activities?
Night life?
Shopping?
Any tips and advices are welcomed… :)
Hmm, Sharm is GREAT for diving and snorkelling. Othe than that, forget it. Hurghada, a "package tourist's paradise. Same with Antalya. Would avoid it at ANY cost.
If you go to the Maledivs, make sure you spnd top dollar on the resort you are staying, otherwise you will be disappointed.
IF you stay at a really good resort, you will enjoy yourslf...although, I would be bored after 5 days. No shopping, no sightseeing, just the deep blue sea (which is pretty amazing over there), 5 star cuisine, bar ,and you.
I would go to the Four Seasons or such and get a water villa, it is expensive, but a really nice experience.
What comes around, goes around....
omg, thanks for warning, mandi!! will keep as far as possible from this place! LOL..
ok, you know what, I'll better really go to Antalya, I have heard, "Rixos" resorts are really nice there..
Or maldives?

Yes, the food was OK for about 3 days but then it got very boring.

I should have said, Sharm's hotels are mainly all inclusive too, and more often than not the food is rubbish. Also, a lot of families go there, if you don't want to be there with a load of children, don't go in the half term school holidays.

If you like lots of Russians, go to Hurghada. But don't get between one and the buffet table! There's not much to do since most of the hotels are all-inclusive and people tend to stay in place. Basically, it's desert on the sea - but it's a pretty sea.

I've been to Sharm, but I didn't really enjoy it. The resort was ok but their quality of hotels are nothing like 5* hotels in the UK or other parts of the world. It's ok for a beach holiday but don't expect much more than that.

ok, then, yalla, I'll go to Antalya instead...
