Have no faith to GOD, that's why they sell their soul. What the use of life without soul. They might have their stomach full, but they have no dignity.

Millions of poor people, but they prefer to scratch the dirt instead of being prostitute. They would do anything even die hungry rather than being prostitute.

Anyway, it's a choice, whether someone fear God, or fear to starve.

As a good believer, of course we will fear God.

behind these statistics? how about many other countries who are much more poor, but still don't have statistics as the ones shown?

If poverty is the reason behind prostitution, then the majority of the women all over the world must be prosts

i am sensing there are some here who wants to shift from their present job to prostitution...

that poverty and hard life is the reason behind prostitution. In my personal opinion, a prostitute can go and sell fish, or flowers on the streets to survive, than renting what is in between her legs to buy Nike shoe for her son and karaoke for her coconut house.

There were times when I lived with not even one cent in my pocket.. I managed to live though. I did not use my organ and sell myself in order to eat in Chowking for example.

In my personal opinion, nothing is forcing a prostitute to choose that kind of life other than herself.

Her p..ssy is the easiest way to survive. What a disgusting mind.... Only people who are weak and lazy with no morals would sell his body to survive.

Anyway, I still don't mind thier business. It is thier life and I have no problems with them as far as they don't touch my life. I only mind people who support them and give them reasons to proceed thier disgusting way of living.

Poverty is a curse. It is all too easy to talk unless you are in their shoes.

Got to agree with Alumnar, but the people also need to stop voting into power corrupt politicians."

- Very true brit. that's what i keep telling my fellow filipino regarding this power corrupt politicians issue. filipinos tend to forget very easy what these F*ck*** politicans did and they vote for them time and again.. and i dont know why!.

lol jervis I guess not.. But you don't need to hire her services to be her friend. I had a very good friend from Turkey in Dubai and she was a prostitute and I never hired her services. But from what she told me, 90 % of them are in this profession through their own choice and were never forced to do it.

Alexa thats nice of you!

Alumnar is right.

By Alumnar• 6 Dec 2009 21:39

... let me try and show you an example. I would never consider hurting somebody physically on purpose. But if anybody harmed my daughter I am sure I would be able to kill! This means to me that there is a feeling inside me that will make me do things which are not morally right for me to defend my life or loved ones and to survive. We have instincts and we all act different depending on circumstances.

Now imagine - a family to feed, you are the young one, family spirit is very strong (amongst philippinos it sure is!!!) - what are you gonna do to feed your parents, your family and yourself if there is NOTHING to eat? You steal - you get caught and thrown in jail, and there you can't help anybody and probably end up being abused by police and other prisoners....

So where is the choice here?

By edifis• 6 Dec 2009 21:29
edifis

According to me prostitution is more respectable than begging or stealing.

How can you see that Progression? You should check your vision! You are seeing things!

By Alumnar• 6 Dec 2009 21:26
Alumnar

If you had a family to support and were hungry I would like to see if your morals and principles wouldn't go flying out the window!

I lived for 2 years in the Philippines and have seen areas being totally destroyed by typhoons. What do those people have to carry on living once the disaster has hit them? Nothing! They depend on charity but most times it is non-existing. It is very easy to point a finger and forget about the circumstances that caused somebody to take that path of earning money. If the philippino government wouldn't make it so hard for people to go and work abroad you would see MANY of those people going abroad to work. The huge agency fees and the cost to process papers is what stops them - they don't have a bowl of rice, so how can they afford to leave their country?

I think it is hard to understand for many people. Unless you know the philippino people and country and have actually lived amongst them and seen how they live you can never imagine how hard it is for them.

Have some respect, because not everybody is fortunate to have been born and brought up with nothing missing in their lifes.

It is better to be a prostitute than to die of hunger. Life is beautiful. Nobody want's to die. They face life in their own way! Prostitutes are not bad. They are not stealing! they are not begging! They provide a special service in exchange of money.

Poverty forces one to make choices that one wouldn't otherwise. When a woman is forced to choose between seeing her family starve, or a means(albeit immoral or illegal)to put put food on the table, then she might make that sacrifice.

http://www.uri.edu/artsci/wms/hughes/philippi.htm

above link...

"There are 400,000 to 500,000 prostituted persons in the Philippines. Prostituted persons are mainly adult women, but there are also male, transvestite and child prostitutes, both girls and boys. (International Labor Organization. Dario Agnote, "Sex trade key part of S.E. Asian economies, study says," Kyodo News, 18 August 1998)"

now look at this link ... http://www.globalexchange.org/countries/asia/thailand/sextrafficking.html

"There are 200,000 to 300,000 prostituted persons in Thailand. Prostituted persons are mainly adult women, but there are also male, transvestite and child prostitutes, both girls and boys.
