UK has the highest pregnancy rate among teenage girls in Euroupe and maybe the world.
It was said 100,000 teenager girls get pregnant every year, and tousands of new borns are registered without their original father name when they are borne.
Why these girls are so keen on getting pregnant?
Later on it was said on the show that they receive money free from the govournment.
One girl was 14 and pregnant!!
At the end this will lead to chaos.

Also, I just looked at the figures:-

1,000 teenage births in the UK out of 60 Million people = 33 teenage births out of 2 million in Qatar.

Anyone know how many there are in Qatar?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a similar figure. It's a very very small percentage, actually. Still not ideal, I'd prefer 0% too but we have to be prectical I guess.

Exiled,

"Illegal sex is punishable by stoning in sharia, you should know that!"

Maybe - but with respect, some things for you to think about:-

1) The UK is a Christian country not Muslim (although the percentage of all faith believers is decreasing)

2) Sharia is not a recognised law in the UK

3) In line with most western countries, the UK doesn't kill people just for getting pregnant.

4) Would you want to stone your own daughter if she wasn't married and got pregnant? - I wouldn't!

5) This is a UK programme and the figure might be made up by the TV company to sell airtime !

I don't know why anyone would be shocked by a pregnancy at 14, since girls of 13 are allowed to marry in Qatar - and probably in salt lake city, too.

One girl was 14? Whilst not the norm for a 14 year old girl in the UK, 14/15 year old mothers isn't at all unusual. I did my health visitor module of nurse training in Isleworth, west London and rarely saw any two parent families. As a nurse prescriber I was obliged to give the morning after pill and condoms to girls from 12 years upwards without question. That doesn't work any more than the collosal amount of sex education given to this agegroup so what next? Punishment should not be an option in this day and age in any civilised society. What then can be done? I don't know the answer to that.

By the way, although I too find many things wrong with it, not everything about the UK is awful. Freedom and equality are their greatest strength. Blooming expensive and miserable weather are not so good though...

Well according to another chap on this site, if you put a woman in a bag and throw stones at her head until she is dead then it purifies her soul for the afterlife, but like he said its really hard to prove illicit relations as you need four male witnesses, so that ok then..

If the Muslims win control over England, and they recycle the stones,,,,I bet about 4 quid's worth of stones and 6 months outta' do it.

Well if the UK spent that money on stones rather than handouts to poor people who have illicit relations then we would solve this problem and purify many souls...

I know that many families in UK are upset because of such a law.

Because many use this law to have money and not work.

No Khalid, you don't get money to support a dog if you adopt one.

The giving money for babies, or the Baby Bonus, is quite common now in the West and even in some Asian countries (South Korea has it I know) it's meant to act as an incentive for couples to have children and combat the declining population in the West. As always though, some people have found a way to misuse it.

Also when one gets a dog, he / she also receive a money to support the dog.

This not the problem, the problem is that these teenager girls will not look for schoolarship or complete their education.

They will stay in dark and when they feel that the boat will sink they will go and look for a job.

But as you know they may not have the time.

You need to look at the income and education levels of these girls. My guess is they come from poor, uneducated backgrounds and most of their mothers were probably single moms too. It's a cycle and it needs to be broken, but giving hand outs isn't the answer.

By anonymous• 19 Oct 2009 10:29

I reckon is there was a 100,000 stoning to death of young girls in the UK that would solve this problem.
