Ok, ok I know this is cut and paste.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-11753050

But having read this story, I wanted to share it because a) unlike many I like his music and b) I have a new respect for him that was never there before. I think I am going to order some of his music this very evening ;)

Common sense prevailed.

OMG we forgot about Blunty....

Yes so as I was saying Lucky James was there....

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 09:01
timebandit

Somwer the trickiest part is God Save the Queen. Everyone knows the first verse, but then have to mumble through the rest. The helicopter and QLing are a doddle compared to that. ;)

By mjamille28• 15 Nov 2010 09:01
mjamille28

somwer, answer: look for the Love to Toast brand they're good, they have it in Mega Mart aside from Lulu..

By somwerNdmiddle• 15 Nov 2010 09:00

But of course I wouldn't use it myself

By somwerNdmiddle• 15 Nov 2010 08:58
somwerNdmiddle

teach me then TB :D

tink, come on now be subtle, that's the last option you're suggesting.

question: where can i buy the best crumpet?

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 08:57

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 08:53

Na somwer..... today I am flying a helicopter, QLing, eating crumpet and singing God Save the Queen all at the same time. I am talented don't ya know ;)

By somwerNdmiddle• 15 Nov 2010 08:52

mjamille28

lol somwer, there were omissions on the report eh? ;)

By somwerNdmiddle• 15 Nov 2010 08:38
somwerNdmiddle

mj, i think that really happened although not stated in the article, you gotta love the high pitch voice of his :P

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 08:37
timebandit

Some would say that all he needed to do was start singing and the Russians would have handed over the airport and run for the hills ;)

By mjamille28• 15 Nov 2010 08:37
mjamille28

ahh, so that's how he did it... and here I thought he sang to them, "you're beautiful" and the troops all went crying and hugged each other.. :P

By somwerNdmiddle• 15 Nov 2010 08:36
somwerNdmiddle

according to the article he averted that scenario TB :D

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 08:34
timebandit

Anyway as I was saying... did you know James Blunt saved the world?

By somwerNdmiddle• 15 Nov 2010 08:32

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 08:08
timebandit

By mjamille28• 15 Nov 2010 08:08
mjamille28

tink, please don't mention about the crumpet, I feel so bad when I went to Lulu last night and there weren't any crumpets.. :(

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 08:07
timebandit

Morning tinks... just adding some spices to the dough now ;)

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 08:01
timebandit

OMG he's coming back with another one. That was so witty I nearly fell off my chair laughing. Oh man do you write this stuff yourself or are you cheating and copying from a book?

By somwerNdmiddle• 15 Nov 2010 07:57
somwerNdmiddle

By mjamille28• 15 Nov 2010 07:54
mjamille28

lol TB, so are you still stuck in traffic? :P

By timebandit• 15 Nov 2010 07:51
timebandit

Ahhh... morning campers ;)

Well I just thought I would drop by and see how Sean-C got on with the thread I donated to him last night, and lol nothing but a side swipe at driving and QLing.

Just to clarify... I was stuck in traffic. The traffic was going nowhere. I was stationary with no prospect of moving for quite some time. I do not QL while driving, but if I did, I think I could do it and still come up with more interesting and witty side swipes than yours.

I look forward with interest in seeing what your next thought provoking topic will be.

If a thread annoys you then you have every right to comment. But if you simply find a thread boring, change the channel.

after +10 years he has something to say?!?! who is this Blunt anyway? parrots don't save worlds...

By Oryx• 14 Nov 2010 20:44

I was in Mazar al Sherif and there were these boys transfixed to a computer screen in the main square.

I thought that maybe it was some propaganda video and maybe they would suddenly target the nearest westerner...which was me.

So I thought I would take a look.... these boys had their eyes wide open and were mesmerised.....

It was a video of Shakira singing hips don't lie.....

By nomerci• 14 Nov 2010 20:22

So because this James Blunt guy said he would not do it, it did not happen. Really? They could not find another guy to do it? Bit odd....

By anonymous• 14 Nov 2010 20:18
anonymous

hmmm you know if he get to live through this, James Blunt will have saved

1. A gazillion peoples vacations for not missing that late evening flight due to the tragic accident on one of Qatars Ring Roads caused by a QL'er who was all too anxious to QL and drive!

2. The world by reducing carbon emissions from cars stuck in that jam caused by a QL'er

On the brighter side, if he dosnt make it we might not have to endure a post that goes 'James Blunt saves Qatar'

By ex.ex.expat• 14 Nov 2010 20:08

exaggeration but good on him. I still wouldn't buy his music though. ;)
