I think the message about the banned IP is a QL message, so it can have the same icon.

OR it's just the web browser getting confused. On mine I have loads of sites displaying the incorrect icon in the url bar.

I expect that's just when you pick up an IP address that has been previously banned. Not a hacker.

and the URL comes up like normal but with a slightly altered icon (a plain maroon Q from a different font). Then in the body of the screen a simple one line is typed saying "Sorry, 119.160.38.107 has been banned".

PM - what message are you referring to?

I've gotten that message several times, both in Doha and elsewhere. It has to be some kind of little hacker playing because it even pulls up a "Q" icon in the URL (but not the regular QL icon.

I saw the same message last Friday morning. It was as PM says: 'This site has been banned'. Not the normal offline message.
