Some of those Classified that could be scams
I have noticed more and more classified adds for electronic items, that look too good to be true,(and if fact they are) that that could be a scam.
QL advises about "Avoiding Scams and Fraud", one is "NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.".
It appears people are now getting around this by putting the price on as QR. I thought I would just send an email to one, as the price for the LCD TV was very very cheap. And sure enough it was in US dollars and were asking me to pay via western union. When I said this was not possible, they then asked to send via moneygram. Needless to say, I did not fall for that one.
I know most people would not send any money to these people but unfortunately a few might fall prey to this.
Is there anyway these sort of adds can be removed?
I AM ONE OF THE NONSCAMMERS :) OR GOOD WILL SELLERS IF I MAY SAY SO. ANYWAY...JUST WANT OT LET EVERYONE KNOW, FOR ME CASH TALKS NOT BANKS ACOUNTS AND IF YOU GUYS WANNA PURCHASE SOMTH FROM ME, YOU HAVE TO SEE IT FIRST AND THEN WE TALK ABOUT CASH. IN DOHA ONLY :D

We have many scammers advertising here. They are not looking for customers like us. They are looking for the naiive and usually they find some.
The safe way of pruchasing here is "cash and carry" anything else is fraud.
ther are lots of cheaters in haraj - najma, but at least ur getting a good sight at what ul b paying for

You are right Lima. Most of these ads may be scam. If someone is really hard pressed on buying electronics at throw away price a visit to the Najma market may help.
