i think 2000qrs is monthly salary. what oppurtunities are u looking at here, if you want to change your job, you cant do it unless you get a release ffrom your company and companies dont give release so easily to anyone.you will be stuck in a job and looking at green pastures and then just looking again.unlike in your home town you can change jobs as and when you feel necessary for career advancement, dont think of doing that here.

bachelor life for an asian, all by yourself with more male friends, its crap.

i wouldnt live in raslaffan, i want to live closer to the city and raslaffan is quite a long drive.

they have a community there, but then again unless you have friends with family, you will have limited interaction, what social life you will have beats me.

its upto you, take time in deciding.if you are really desperate in coming here for the change, then come, i am sure you will be really desperate to run back home very soon, i know it sounds discouraging, but its true.

moreover the salary they are offering is not good at all.

ALL THE BEST.

Forgive the stupid question; but when he mentions "2000QR" as his salary, is he talking weekly or what? I am just wondering what timeline that covers.

thanks

thnx han19 for your advice

i beleive i can save more then what i am saving now...plus since its a start,it would be good to get a middle east experience and i can move as there are many opportunities

yes i am bachlor...and dnt have anyone dependent on me

I wanna know, how is life at Ras Laffan. Is it a total desert area with nothing to do or still some life exist there...and what are the recreational activities there?

.

once u come here, you salary is not going to grow fast,u will be stuck in that, unless your company is really generous.

no social life, as such for you, specifically so if you are a bachelor.

so please think about it more carefully.

even entry level trainee engineer can get 2500qrs. do u feel u are going to make more money here than in pakistan.

i would advise, work for some more time in pakistan to gain experience and then try again after a few years.

this place is getting expensive, i dont feel 2000 is gud enough even if u have one year experience.factors you need to consider, do you have family to support back home, any loans, misc expenses.ras laffan is not in the heart of doha, its away from doha atleast and hour or more by car, u cant get to city as and when you wish, are you a bachelor?

think about it carefully.
