Suicide pact of young lovers

I found this sad and tragic. Young love aside. What would make them carry out a suicide pact and devastate two families..

TWO school sweethearts were killed when a train ploughed into them in what is believed to have been a suicide pact.

Charleigh Disbrey who had just turned 15 died along with her boyfriend Mert Karaoglan, 18.

At least one suicide note is believed to have been left at the horror scene — and yesterday a friend hinted that the schoolgirl nicknamed CJ had been troubled.

It also emerged that last month Charleigh, whose parents had separated, posted on the site: “Don’t get too close, it’s dark inside — it’s where my demons hide...”

Last night the baffled and grief-stricken father of her boyfriend, sobbed: “He was a happy person — everything seemed OK.” Distraught Sakru, 48, told how his son was watching TV in Borehamwood, Herts, when he announced he was “going out for one or two hours”.

The dad wept: “We told him not to be out late. We were waiting and waiting. Then the police came round to see us at nine this morning. I can’t stop crying.”

The train drivers were being offered counselling.

How very sad, but when 2 people make a pact it is usually due to mental health problems. I too hope the train driver is ok. My dad was a London tube driver in the 70s and he used to tell us how so many people throw themselves in front of trains.

I would really like to blame media here , as they are portraying the act of suicide as an act of heroism

i m referring to the recent suicide case of an india actress , who committed suicide after her unsuccessful love

media has published the WHOLE emotional personal letter of hers in newspaper and every possible website

it is really effecting the youung immature minds , who thinks their love will be IMMORTAL WTF this way and suicide is the only possible and heroic act :-(

Its sad to hear such news. A note to such young guys and girls, face life - Suicide is not answer to any of the problems rather it will be a life long pain for those who loves you if not for you.

Miss Mimi, When we were teenagers we didn't know what the word 'depression' actually meant! We were too busy with school tasks and sports etc. I am rather worried about kids of this generation that they are so vulnerable to such negative thoughts..

I doubt it has anything to do with their being "in love." They were probably drawn together because they were both suffering from depression and sadly, egged each other on to the point of suicide.

I would understand killing oneself out of dejection if one's love wasn't returned...but young willing lovers taking their lives with no reason is beyond my understanding. I am just guessing the girl may have conceived and ashamed to face the world. But then..its just my thought.

The actual cause is not clear yet...

Young lovers need proper guidance especially when they fall in love..

Sending healing thoughts to their families - it doesnt matter who they are or where they live..we are all connected.

Grief fills the room up of my absent child,

Lies in his bed, walks up and down with me,

Puts on his pretty look, repeats his words,

Remembers me of his gracious parts,

Stuffs out his vacant garments with his form.

A flower bloomed already wilting.

Beginning its life with an early ending.

It is sad that they had to take their own life but what is inexcusable that they had to cause huge torment to the poor train driver. This is an incredibly selfish action and means I have no sympathy for them.
