Stars: Hiam Abbas, Ashraf Barhom, Makram Khoury, etc.

Directed by Eran Riklis

(in Hebrew, Arabic, English and French language with English translation)

A Druze girl who lives in the Israel border of Golan Heights is getting married to a Syrian actor on the day of President Assad's proclamation and has to settle the wedding vows across the Syrian border...but not without the 'political' boundaries of both his family and the 'rules of the fence'.

An excellent movie full of political and sociological issues, from a Pro-Syrian father to his son with a Russian wife, from a rude brother from Italy to his unmarried but courageous sister, from the Israeli consulate to the Syrian border general and the French UN aide inbetween the 'agreements', and down to both just the bride and the groom in between half a kilometer a border. A movie that'll give you a 'different perspective' of the effects of the politics and the 'sad' limitations to ordinary people along the said 'dangerous' area with their own ordinary way of living.

I just watched the movie. I actually liked it! But I did't like the ending. It's such an abrupt ending with Mona the bride walking towards the syrian border and Amal turning her head the other way! And we can only guess what happened to the wedding! Why can't they show some really happy endings?

Doesn't matter, heero I have not seen Syrians in their natural habitat! So I won't notice.

It's weird to have your passport nationality in Israel says "Undefined".

The Syrians in the movie were quite natural. *cough*
