Is this taking the piss ?

Isn't this taking things a little too far ?

She left him for another guy, yet comes back to claim money that he won - NOT earned during her stay with him...

A £56MILLION lottery winner has been forced to give a share to the ex-wife who dumped him TEN YEARS AGO.

Divorced Nigel Page, 44, was sued by Wendy after his EuroMillions jackpot this year, even though she left him for another man in 2000.

Pals say well-heeled Wendy, 43, - the mother of his 13-year-old daughter - wanted £8million. She got £2million out of court.

Yesterday the divorcee - who has since split with her lover - clutched a bottle of Champagne as she left her luxury waterfront home in Gloucestershire with a new fella she has found.

Nigel - who remarried after his win last February - is believed to be the first lottery winning hubby in the UK to be successfully sued for a slice of their winnings.

A family insider said: "He is really gutted."

Wendy is also believed to have obtained a huge increase in maintenance payments for their daughter - up from £150 a month to £2,000.

that's why I said, it's a fair move, not necessarily right! That's the irony of marrying a beautiful woman, having a child with her and WINNING a lottery! The divorce was just consequential! Lol!

yea exactly...the lawyer and the judge might be getting part of it..

after that link posted and read the whole story, I would say that the woman is an opportunist but her move is fair as it means they need now to make that "clean break" as part of a divorce agreement or "pre-nup" agreement!

What I could not understand is, with all blames can be attributed to the woman for the divorce and what seemingly bad character, she still had her way! The lawyer must be good!

so she dumped him, he probably fought for custody, but as always this was given to the mother, he paid to house, clothe and feed the daughter (and the mother) while only being allowed access to his daughter (that was effectively stollen by the mother by fighting for custody) maybe 1 day a week or every other week.

And for the priviledge of being fed, clothed and housed and seeing their daughter grow up and the joy that brings, the mother then deserves £2mln plus another 114,000 over the next 5 years, you must have a screw loose.

And even if he is inteligent, he would have to be lucky to get an 11% guaranteed return in the current economic climate with interest rates at 0.5%

How does the US have anything to do with this ruling in the UK? The UK seems perfectly capable of making dumb rulings on its own.

I still think it's a fair move by the mother. Well if the man is intelligent, he can get that 2M in a year time, just for the interest of his winning!

Ten years ago, the child was 3 and raising a kid in UK is I think not an easy thing! Maybe, just maybe, 2M is a good bonus! Lol! Hope the child get a slice of it! Lol!

"its fair enough to increase his maintenance pay to 2000 pounds" That is about twice the UK average monthly salary. and this will be used to pay for new car, new house, new clothes for mum, pampering sessions, etc, etc the kid might see 100 quid over and above food and clothes if she is lucky. given that she wouldn't enter into the trust then it is obvious she ain't going to spend it on the kid.

thanks for the clarity

before US law mutated accross the Atlantic this would never have happened in the UK, yet another example of US led world decline.

flor1212 for a man, you are definatly not on the side of the father, or his rights to do what he thinks best for the child. The mother is just a money grabbing b1tc8 and does not deserve a penny, the child is 13, the court could have ruled to put a lump of money in a trust fund for her to have when she was 18, and until then the same trust fund could have paid her a monthly allowance appropriate to a 13year old. As it is the mother is trying to get better for herself not the child or she would have gone down the trust route. The mother has probably remarried and the new husband will probably try to get his hands on it. She left him and from that point, or the latest the day the divorce was final, the mother should only get what was agreed in the divorce settlement and any windfalls after the event are nothing to with her, only his child.

By anonymous• 22 Nov 2010 09:28

The guy wanted to put the 2 Million in a trust for her daughter but the ex-wife vetoed the idea and got the clause that she can spend it as she pleases. Yes this really sounds like she wanted the money for the daughter, lol...

He had already offered to provide a trust fund for the child. He has upped the support payments too.

positive side of being the mother of his child.

Soniya, I beg to disagree that she's a shameful woman. She just know how to look at an opportunity in a different way! And if the child's life would improve, I would say the move was fair, and the court already decided or it was settled out of court.

because most fathers would want to give their kids the best. and who says the mother is pursuing the father's fortune on behalf of the child, the increase in maintenance would just mean the mother can spend more on herself, no law says that this money has to be spent solely (or in deed in part) on the child. The mother shouldn't get a penny.

No doubt he would give some money to his child when she turned 18, and treat her till then, but why the F&^% should the mother be able to get even 1p.

KANYE WEST LYRICS

"Gold Digger"

She take my money when I'm in need

Yeah she's a trifling friend indeed

Oh she's a gold digger way over town

That dig's on me

[Chorus:]

(She gives me money)

Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger (When I'm in Need)

But she ain't messin' with no broke niggas

(She gives me money)

Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger (When I'm in need)

But she ain't messin' with no broke niggas

Get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

Get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

Get down girl go head get down (I gotta leave)

Get down girl gone head

[Verse 1:]

Cutie the bomb

Met her at a beauty salon

With a baby Louis Vuitton

Under her underarm

She said I can tell you ROC

I can tell by your charm

Far as girls you got a flock

I can tell by your charm and your arm

but I'm looking for the one

have you seen her?

My psychic told me she have an ass like Serena

Trina, Jennifer Lopez, four kids

An I gotta take all they bad ass to show-biz

OK get your kids but then they got their friends

I pulled up in the Benz, they all got up in

We all went to Den and then I had to pay

If you fucking with this girl then you better be payed

You know why

It take too much to touch her

From what I heard she got a baby by Busta

My best friend say she use to fuck with Usher

I don't care what none of you all say I still love her

[Chorus]

[Verse 2:]

18 years, 18 years

She got one of your kids got you for 18 years

I know somebody paying child support for one of his kids

His baby mamma's car and crib is bigger than his

You will see him on TV any given Sunday

Win the Superbowl and drive off in a Hyundai

She was suppose to buy you shorty TYCO with your money

She went to the doctor got lypo with your money

She walking around looking like Michael with your money

Should of got that insured got GEICO for your money

If you ant no punk holla we want prenup

WE WANT PRENUP! Yeah

It's something that you need to have

'Cause when she leave yo ass she gone leave with half

18 years, 18 years

And on her 18th birthday he found out it wasn't his

[Chorus]

[Verse 3:]

Now I ain't saying you're a gold digger you got needs

You don't want your dude to smoke but he can't buy weed

You got out to eat and he cant pay you all can't leave

There's dishes in the back, he gotta roll up his sleeves

But why you all washing watch him

He gone make it into a Benz out of that Datson

He got that ambition baby look in his eyes

This week he mopping floors next week it's the fries

So, stick by his side

I know his dude's balling but yeah that's nice

And they gone keep calling and trying

But you stay right girl

But when you get on he leave your ass for a white girl

Get down girl go head get down

Get down girl go head get down

Get down girl go head get down

get down girl go head

(lemme hear that back)
