Does any 1 know why all the cinema's are shut this weekend ??!!! Ive checked all over n they r all closed ... without any infor y and when they will open or anything ... Its quite lame especially since the new movie 300 was supposed to b out ...
Yeah it sure is crazy one strong wind for 5 mins and so many things went wrong, i can only imagine what would happen if we had a really bad storm here ...
I guess that you've seen what the strong high winds did. Check the Corniche, Palm Tree area where you were getting the tickets before for the Palm island, Rumailah park and the construction areas and some of the cars and you will know the rest of story.
Thank god that it did not last that much or only god knows what would happen that day.
I went to the theater yesterday with my friends. At the tills, they adviced that there was no water in the the theater toilet and there was no air conditioning. Their compressors, they said, were out due to the freak weather Thursday night. I guess they are still out today so they decided to just close the theaters so as not to incovenience movie goers.
As for me and my friends, we decided to watch the movie '300' despite the warning regarding the AC and toilet. There were less than 20 people inside so it was not that warm anyway so we got to enjoy the movie. But we did go straight to the nearest WC after that.
What we found inconvenient was the long preview of movies to be shown and some advertisements. The movie was scheduled as 2:00pm but it didn't start until 2:35pm. I mean we already paid for the movie so why did they make us watch so many advertisements like we were watching a big screen TV. I think they should lessen the time for these advertisements and previews.

Sumthin to do with the high winds messing up the AC systems...
