Time Flies - It's my Birthday!!! 23 today
I'm 23 today. 22 doesn't work anymore!!!
I've been 22 now for 8 years!!!
TIME FLIES
Alas, how fast does time go by?
I ask myself, with a wishful sigh,
The years go by, as we all get old,
and begin to feel this wind and cold,
For every moment of this beating heart,
I think of my family, so far apart,
I must bear all choices that I take,
In this long journey, we all must make,
Yet in these mists of so many souls,
that reflect on their past, so full of holes,
mixed with anguish and of fear,
that this may be their final year,
So far I've lived with just one regret,
never staying long enough for relationships to set,
For too much a burden this heart once held,
That never would it let another meld.
I never thought I'd get old and grey,
and think of moments, that have made my day,
yet here I am, 31 today
with nowt but this poem to help me say.
"Where the (bleep) did the last ten years go?" LOL

it's too late actually.. i started having these feelings since i am 17....well.. few years ago...
but 31??!! you are OLD, USELESS piece of junk by now!! ..LOL..
but seriously.. I would rather trust people who a bit older then you are, and who is saying: ...40s are better; and 50s are the best yet! ...

Absolutely, you were!!! Well I can't say I'm looking forward to my 40s and 50s, but at least there is comfort in knowing some of us enjoy those new aches and pains!!!
