May be it is bitter due to that reality.

When a hatch-ling grows up , learns everything he/she can learn under the protection of the parent bird , the parent pushes the adult bird out of it's nest so that it can go and build it's own legacy or form it's own family.This is the case not only for birds but for every other animal or fish.Since human beings are also animals , we are also supposed to follow this law of nature.In the west they adhere by these laws unlike us.We tend to cling onto the protection of our parents for a bit longer,yet eventually even we leave the nest only they do it a little earlier.Now what's wrong in that? Isn't 18 the official age for proclaiming an individual as an adult.

True... Young generation should start respecting Relations.. Emotions...

Globally at Western side , youth is not tolerated in their own parents home in the late teen years ...

How come parents release them into the so dangerous world ? Specially for the girls ...

Your word's are melodious and admirable.

But you should learn to analyse both sides of a situation before making an opinion my friend. Because like Nomerci and Fatimah pointed out , not all parents are true darlings.Not every parent really try's to understand what the child want's. You must understand that parent's shouldn't raise their kid's to fulfill their unaccomplished dreams or to show off their authority instead they should teach their kids to "think" and educate them.Parents should also learn to listen and understand their kids before advicing and taeching their kids about anything.They should also value their kids perceptions.It should not always be a unilateral relationship.

What if parent care more about themselves than for their children?

What if parents select a partner for their offspring based on what THEY, the parents, can gain?

OR...if parents select a partner for their child many, many years her senior...who then hurts and maybe kills the child?

What if the parents select the future path, as in job, for the child, based on what THEY, the parents can get out of it?

What if the child refuses them, and is shunned, in the worst case killed?

What then?

Sad as it is that not everyone of us are blessed with exemplary morally upstanding parents who's lead we can follow, we can still be of great benefit to them by doing what's right and just and encouraging them to do the same. Indeed just as a parent can be a source of guidance for children the reverse can also be true. But it takes much love, tact, graciousness,patience and immense tolerance..something not everyone is willing to invest in!

Today's youth are also brought up to practice their own thinking and that tends to use them accordingly to their desires and wises. Expecting returns after grooming them in this way is really a tough answer when the society is already gone far ahead into it.
