Traffic rounabouts

Am I the only one who thinks that the traffic lights and / or traffic police on the roundabouts have made things much worse?

You either have lights at a junction, or roundabouts and no lights, but surely, not both? And when the police get involved its even worse!

no they are better.

at least they gave an opportunity to some lanes for free flow even for sometime.

couldn't they please just switch off the lights and leave the traffic to flow naturally?

I still can't get why the Police control the roundabouts...is it because they try and make themselves look busy? Its keystone cops scenario....

Yeah, it has been an issue since I came to Qatar. I thought it was only rumors but I think the police does makes things worse. We got stuck in the traffic too but good thing there were detours only a few know.

It's better to have lights else if you got one extra careful driver in front you will be stuck on that roundabout forever.

It also makes sense to have roundabouts as they help to deal with more traffic than just traffic lights.

Ofcourse you need to follow the rules which everyone doesn't understand and hence the problem. The problem is with the drivers not the roundabouts.
