Trip to Oman
Hi folks !
I am planning a trip to Oman mid November for 8-10 days. I will be going overland in my 4x4.
I plan to drive to Dubai, stay there for couple of days, and then hit the road to Muscat, onwards to Salalah and back.
Would like to hear your experiences/ suggestions on how to get most out of these 10 days or so ( especially if you have done it from Qatar.
I am much into nature and historical places and not so much into luxury travel. Plan is mostly bush-camping, hotels only when absolutely necessary, keeping a lazy and safe pace. Would love to hear from those who have done it that way.
As i will be travelling solo, please let me know if you are interested in sharing the ride. My start date is flexible, so i can push it forward or back a few days.
Would love to share your thoughts.
Azmeerzmm,
please provide me the same visa details, since i am also interest to travel by end of this year.
Thanks
I sent you a personal message
Thanks a lot. Azmeer, can you give me some insight into the visa process please. As I understand, I will have to obtain transit visas for Saudi and Dubai, plus visit visa for Oman ( for the going part) and again Dubai & saudi visa for return leg. How did you do it, how much it costs. I will be grateful for any advice
I have been to Oman by road last December, it was a superb experience and love to go again, but there are lot of things to be taken care of before going again.
Dear,
We also love to travel same like you. But for 10 days is very difficulty for us to manage. Max. 4 days is ok. I traveled before from al ain to muscat through buraimi wadi al jazi check post. Great experience. Take care drive safely specially night time because some place no street light on oman road and roads through wadi and mountains.take care from sudden water flood on roads month of november. UAE roads are excellent. Arranged visas prior to travel and not visa on arrivals to be on safe side.
