Trying out the new menu at Jones the Grocer!

Known for their natural ingredients and fresh produce, Jones the Grocer has recently added a number of satisfying dishes to their gourmet menu. I believe its essential for restaurants to alter their menu occasionally in order to satisfy customers.

I went and tried a flurry of different dishes.  Sit back and relax and I'll guide on my favorites :)

Are you keen on having a burger for breakfast? Well now you can at Jones!. They now serve the breakfast muffin burger, which consists of a veal sausage patty, baked egg wrapped in beef bacon and Portobello mushroom, served with homemade hash browns (yum!). If you are a pesto lover then the new homemade basil pesto on poached eggs with avocado served on multigrain toast is a must try. This dish was so flavorsome and appetizing.  For a sweeter start to your day you can try the new homemade coconut flour pancakes that were so moist and light or the Jones French toast that is served with peaches, berries and Greek yoghurt.

Jones has added three mouthwatering dishes to their starters. The pumpkin and ginger soup – paleo had a sweet taste and a strong ginger kick to it. The chargrilled flank steak, pomelo and mango salad with soy mirin dressing was also infused with a strong taste of ginger whilst the marinated beetroot, goats cheese and truffle salad was bold and the ingredients complemented one another. Finally, there were three new mains that were added to the menu. The grilled Cajun chicken burger stood out for me, as the chicken was extremely succulent and seasoned well. This was my favorite. The burger was served with sweet potato fries, which unfortunately isn’t available in many places across Doha. There was also the Jones Wagyu cottage pie, a replica of the traditional British cuisine. I found the portion to be of perfect serving as it was accompanied with a side salad and pieces of garlic bread. If you are looking for a light, simple dish with chili infused flavor then the seared sea bass on soba noodles is your option.

The price of these new dishes ranged between 32 – 85 QR, which is unbelievably great for the quality you are being served. You can find Jones in two locations across Qatar; on the ground floor at The Gate Mall and Porto Arabia, La croisette 31 at the Pearl.
