Two Unbeleivable Things

hapy
By hapy

witnessed 2 unbeleivable things in space of an hour, while driving around today.

1- A guy asked a question on qatar radio on a religious programme, if it is permissible for kids of one person from different wives to marry!!!

2- A white landcruiser 1452**, stopped near Alfardan Najma, a 5-6 year old girl came out from back seat, crossed the road whih happened to be very busy at the time, brought bread from Hotbread bakery (crossed back) and landcruiser moved. Gooosh, what kind of person exposes a small child to busy traffic, while sitting in the car!!!

#2 is not Qatari, we honk the horn.

By Dracula• 15 Aug 2009 22:09
Dracula

The naked truth:

The teenager driver of the white landcruiser 14**** and the (probably)5-6-14-16 year old girl are kids of one person from different wives!

The girl went to buy some bread from Hotbread bakery.

During her absence, the teenager driver asked a question on qatar radio.

He loves her!

The End!

Funny how a Qatari was the only one to jump to the conclusion you were referring to Qataris -- lol

Sometimes we cannot really stop people from thinking nonsense at all! And if they are really using the brain to think! Simple question is no need for a very common answer!!

By anonymous• 15 Aug 2009 08:21

the complications rise exponentially based upon the shared genetic matter. In that case, the problems arising from a brother and sister reproducing have a much higher chance of manifesting themselves than those from cousins.

I'm not advocating ANY consanguineal marriages, but just want to be clarify the differences regarding cousin marriages or brother/sister marriages (which I don't think is legal ANYWHERE).

PM,purely as a medical practitioner, from a completely non-religious/non-cultural point of view...marrying within the gene pool is marrying within the gene pool...weather it's kids from different wives of the same person or 1st,2nd & even 3rd cousins, there's just 1 degree of difference between them all...it has been proven beyond doubt that kids born to parents related to each other as mentioned above ALL have a very high chance of developing one or more of several syndromes/conditions that can leave them in various states of being debilitated/handicapped...

Actually I just assumed it was a Muslim because he had 2 wives, but it could have been another religion that allows polygyny.

The cue is the typical stopping by road side and shout for a groceries. In this case its a child running across the road. Isn't that similar in character.

Another Qatari/Muslim bashing thread. Look, if you have nothing good to say keep your mouth shut. I don't know about this "freedom of speech" but I do know about being polite and not slandering people.

And really she just gets better and better! There are tough times, certainly, as anyone grows up; but once they marry and start their family, you forget all that.

I think you can call it moulding/shaping character which is the most important part of raising a child in my opinion. And yes, I do understand what you mean. That's a nice saying -- one I haven't heard before. It testifies to the importance of women :-)

I just spent a month with mine and loved every minute! No matter how grown up she is, even married with children, she will always stay close to her family if there is a good relationship. With a son it is different because he will have a new family (his wife) to be closest to when he marries. I have one of each and love them both; but I especially cherish the closeness and sweetness with my daughter :-)

and it is also illegal in the US because of health issues. However, it is a deeply rooted tradition here. I know that Sheikha Mozah initiated an education campaign years back to address this issue and discourage the habit of marrying first cousins. Don't know how that is working, though....

,,,Cousins are too close if it happens on a continual basis. In Canada 1st cousins are allowed to get married, but it is rarely done,,,it happened in the old days when people were isolated and sex happened.....but for the long term and in quantity, it creates problems I am told by the medical people..

as for #1, the Qatari population suffers from inbreeding, thus the many related diseases, and as for #2,perhaps it effects their ability to think properly about the safety of their children.

I have often wondered,,,if an Arab woman diesa martyr, does she get 77 male virgins in Heaven???

Someone should tape this stuff, make a cool variety show...these parts need some comic relief. It's all serious 24/7. I'm sure something of that sort, combined with some clever sketches would be a big hit in the region...granted no lowbrow racist/sexist jokes that go well in the west, but who needs them when you got folks like that on public radio!

Did ole' buddy there end up with two runts that are too ugly, or too stupid to give off to someone? Or are him and his spouses that socially challenged that they can't find suitable partners for either? Or is he too broke to pay for the lad's dowry/marriage etc. Who's to know, but it sure ain't a good sign! Either way that's some heavy desperation right there!
